Berbatov

Levy's fault really. He should've sold him to us a month ago and spent the Keane and Berb money to bolster his attack. But there you go.

Getting close......

How about who gives a feck!! His acting like this because he doesn't have choice! You can't put every individual in the same boat. If you look at it from his view he's 27 going on 28 and he knows that this will probably be his last chance to move to United and play Champions League football. Next year his a year older, players that aren't on the market may soon become available i.e. Benzema, with come knocking for the last 2 seasons now next year is not guarenteed. Also please explain how you don't want a player that is showin some much drive to play for us?

can't agree with that at all.

If he wants to leave, then why did he sign a contract? And even if he wants to leave he could still play for Tottenham if he likes it or not, that's part of a feckin professional football-life.
But to say "I'm not in the right mood to play" is just cnutish and shouldnt be the behaviour of a man that gets so much money.

I am totally aware that we have players who have acted bad.

Don't think NOT signing a contract is bad though.
Ofcourse it is. Look at what happened with Liverpool in the case of Mcmancunt and Owen. One left for free and other for 10m.

Rio got booed by United fans also because he did not sign a contract. Even Rooney, if does not sign an extension will get slated by United fan,.

No. That was more to do with the fact he was banned for missing a test and subsequently flirted with Kenyon and Chelsea to get a better contract.

Why does anyone sign a contract come on... Whats new player have been leaving with 1,2,4 years left on their contract for ages! I'm sure he never refused to play he just simply stated what everyone knows, that being he nolonger wants to play for Spurs! It's up to the board now to short out what they need to sort out. It has taken far to long to be negotiated and now its having negative affects on the team like most would have expected.

Plenty of people are trying to reason their way out of the simple truth, that if Berbatov was a United player, and another club were in for him and the player was acting like this, we'd be outraged

I want to see a top striker signed like the next person, but I'd rather stick with what we've got than see a player gained via this method

Don't forget that Evra refused to play and train for Monaco when he heard of our interest. Now he is a fan favorite.

Btw, some kid in France went on strike today too because he wants to come to United.

In the Ronaldo case, unless he does a Ronaldinho or fat Ronaldo, he'll have 10 years left of his career and plenty of time to play for his dream club Real. In the Berbatov case, he's what 27/28? He dont have as much time left to win something. His dream club is a big club that'll win something, be United or someone else. I've got no problem with a player wanting to make a step up, and think it's kinda low of a club to hold on to someone if the money is good and the player wants away. Ronaldo said from day one he wants to go to Real, and we all know it, but he also said, even this summer, that he's happy at United. And why wouldnt he be.. The day he goes we'll most likely get a world record fee for him, and I've got no problem with him making a step up, or at least in his own view a step up. Tottenham will get 25-30mill for Berba if he moves to United, I can understand his frustration

Levy is making some very poor choices here

the longer this goes on the worse its going to be for both clubs
maybe even more so for spurs

He's never said he dreams of playing for Real. Which is a plus. If he's any good we might have him for a while. Which is another plus. Add it all together and you get a sum.

True bit what do you think of the Rooney out.

If he just comes out and says he wants to see out his current contract and the move. Would that be acceptable to the fans?

For ages? Well actually it's not so long ago that players actually respected their contracts and then talked about leaving or an extension.

And he actually said he didnt feel right to play, I mean cmon.
I'm not saying i wouldnt be happy if he signed for us, but still the way he acts is cnutish.

When was that in the 80's? But you know his only saying that because he wants to join us! He was fine for the last few seasons his been there.

since when has been United been his dream club? if he likes us so much why didnt he move to us before when he had the chance?

I just want to see another striker playing for us- when is the black pele fit again?

Fans wouldn't be pleased. But then again, at least they'd know where they stood. As for Rooney, my guess is that was about as much of an Everton fan as Sly Stallone.

I think Ashley Cole is probably the best example of a cnut, though.

No doubt in the case of Benzema, a player with great potential, is a viable target, but the risk that comes with him is a future want-away scenario which no fans want to go through again.

If by that you mean, Rooney was/is not a hardcore Everton fan, I disagree with ya. He choose to join Everton over Liverpool academy where he had the cheek of going in a Everton top for try outs.

Most football players are cnuts.

Most people involved in football are cnuts.

Fans can be right cnuts as well.

And judging by what has happened today, Berbatov is a cnut but as said by someone above, he will be our cnut.

Watch the post-match interview, I felt a tiny bit bad for Poyet. He has to come out all the time to try and smooth over a crap performance by the Spuds (3 wins since Carling Cup win), and today, make excuses for Berba moving to us.

If Levy hadn't been such a drama queen, he'd have sold Berba, and used that money along with Keanes money to get the players they want (Arshavin).

Now they're in a situation with only one half decent striker, and a limited time frame to get the players they need.

Still, as long as we get Berba, all is good.

If we had a no cnut policy at United we'd have won half the trophies we have now.
