That would be the same paper that declared it a "done deal" on Tuesday evening. Probably staffed almost entirely by Glaston's ITK mates.

If the press are to be believed (the press other than the Daily Wail, that is) the most recent stumbling block has been Levy's "fury" (yeah, I know, again :wenger:) about people saying it's a done deal when it's anything but. Which means that this horrible rag of a paper might be a factor in prolonging this fiasco unnecesarily.

The Daily Mail.

why can't he be on the bench?

he may feature on the bench but again with rooney back fit theres no rush whatsoever

we have more than enough to beat the sad geordie bastards, im sure fergie will be wanting to get him in training and start gelling with the lads.

had rooney not been fit, would be a different story, but he is

Spurs star Berbatov 'in Manchester for United medical'

By Sportsmail Reporter Last updated at 2:59 PM on 15th August 2008

Dimitar Berbatov was believed to be completing his move to Manchester United today as Zenit St Petersburg lowered their asking price for Andrei Arshavin to allow him to join Tottenham.

Spurs, having already sold Robbie Keane to Liverpool last month, needed to strengthen their forward line before allowing Berbatov to join United in a £28m deal.

Waving goodbye? Berbatov (left) at Spurs training on Thursday
The London Evening Standard believes Berbatov was not at Tottenham this morning and has instead arrived in Manchester for a medical.

When United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was asked today if that was case he replied: 'I have absolutely nothing at all to say.'
Despite Berbatov's imminent departure, Spurs head coach Juande Ramos insists Spurs can compete in the transfer market with the Premier League's top four.

Spurs are determined not to be seen as a feeder club and their major summer signings have been Luka Modric, Giovani dos Santos, Heurelho Gomes and David Bentley.

:D,looks good.

just seen that myself...not sure how other feel but I like the bbc generally get stuff right

Someone on the website obviously added Berbatov either on purpose, or to take the piss.

I'm getting fatigued. The little man has been in and out all day. Poor fella. Please Fergie, think of the little ones!

just leave him out, will be done by end of the day I can feel it. This thread will go very quiet as soon as its announced for at least 10 second

Not when they're just re-hashing a story from the Daily Mail they don't

might be a rehash but they dont generally report on anything unless its happening.

ie mail had it in on tuesday where as this is the first coment bbc have made, and its taken until now to make that coment, ie they were getting facts straight maybe ?

dont be so negative :)

So, what i'm gettin is he's not signing today.

Definitely not. He's locked in my basement and he won't be allowed out until he eats all his greens like a good boy. Stubborn fecker he is though.

If he does sign today, the caf will be as crowded as the Champions League final.
