Bebe

I be happy if he make it for us. Was a little Ronaldo over his performance today. Have to work hard and keep his confidence. Strange as it is, him making it would probably piss some fans off. Would be so funny if he never looked back at this stage and went on to be the real deal.

That's half the battle right there. From what I've seen of him, he's got enough talent to succeed and if he grafts and believes in himself, there's no reason why he shouldn't come good. I hope he does.

Nice bit of play and awareness to make the goal for Kagawa today even if he did fire it in a little hard.

I would love it if he could even justify half of his transfer fee just to put our minds at ease that this wasn't complete dodgy dealing.

Hope he gets a loan to a PL club.

I actually hope he stays with us this year. Give him some action in the cups and most importantly keep developing him at world class facilities. If we continue to be patient with him I do think he has a chance of becoming a useful player. Maybe not for United, but his physicality could make him an impact player in the Championship.

I hope after today's cameo that is enough for another club to take him off our hands and pay some sort of fee.

Needs a loan with a manager that will play him. It really is make or break year.

I'm sure the manager/ club know this, but realistically can they be bothered to spend the time and effort required to set that up?

And is any manager willing to take a chance?

He was excellent. First touch, passing and not afriad to shoot and them all on target. He put Kagawas goal on a plate and Also created a couple of other opportunitys. He was deff in the Top 3 players on the pitch tonight. 1. Kagawa by a mile, then a half each Petrruci, Bebe

The main thing for me was he didnt look awkward at all. Usually his first touch is heavy, his dribbles look clumbsy and his crosses were just hit and hope.

But today he was like a different person, i think the nerves have gone for him, the move was probably such a big deal and such a life changing thing that he could never reallly get settled, but a year later he is settling in, and boy does he look different.

Ok yes it was against a chinese team who werent the best, but the way he attacked the fullback anybody would of struggled, his crosses were accurate and powerful, his shot especially the 1 after the turn was dare i say Ronaldo like; the power he got on it was unbelievable, its such a shame it didnt go in.

Its still obviously early days for our Bebe, but i sure as hell hope he can continue in this vein. Maybe 1 day he could turn out to be an important player for us. The good news is looks like the Ligament injury he suffered has not hindered him.

Who is the dad?

I always said this boy is amazing

 classic. He's a fecking big lad. Athletic. There's only technical problems there but even the shittest technical footballer can get by on pure athleticism.

I'd love him to be great but I'd also be happy to see him make 15-20 decent appearances a season for a few years.

No it's not. He just turned 22. It's his 4th season as a professional. 1 season was in the lower leagues in Portugal. 1 in the United reserves and 1 was spent injured. Compare that to Anderson who's in his 6th year here and was purchased for twice the amount he was.

I didn't see the game. Did he play on the wing again?

Yes. Left but found himself some space in the middle a few times.

I thought he played excellently and it was his presence that changed the game. Defenders had to mark him, unlike Macheda and Hernandez which finally created space for Kagawa to start working little pieces of magic.

Well atleast we know that he has a future in China should European football not work out.

Came on and was a positive influence - looked to be full of confidence and I'm sure he surprised a few fans (myself included).

Will be interesting to see if he can keep it going since he's done nothing to convince fergie he shouldn't be on the teamsheet. Hope he can!
I'm desperate for him to be a success personally. It would be such a great story and it would inspire many folks world wide.

Had a great game. One asset he most definitely has is a ferocious shot. His ball striking technique yesterday was quality.

I recorded the game so only saw it this morning. Boy was I impressed with Bebe. Showed signs of it vs Ajax CPT. He was easily our best player in the 2nd half. Gave us some much needed urgency and drive. Made the correct decisions, which was key in his performance for me. Screw the fact that it was vs Chinese opposition, he made the CORRECT decisions! Knew when to pass, when run with it and when to shoot. Oh Bebe, oh Bebe, long may it continue. I'd love for him to succeed. He's looking so much better than he did a year ago, and if he can stay injury free and get some good game time this season (with us or on loan) then he will develop even further.

The poor guy probably feels like he needs a home. He's moved around....what 4 times in 4 years? Maybe he just needs familiarity. I'd keep him here this year

He was good yesterday. Seemed to measure his crosses better as well. Positive experience for him. Looked a lot calmer with the ball at his feet.

He can certainly bang a shot that is for sure. We're all his shots on target? Fair play. Seemed to enjoy himself.

He wanted the ball as well, good sign. Get him on loan somewhere he will play.

A loan deal to any PL where he can get games week in and week out will do him good. The talent is there, no doubt, but it's at a very raw stage. I guess SAF's stubbornness to show the doubters has given Bebe a good foundation to work on. It's all up to him now.

I agree. Keep him with us, and give him games in the Carling Cup (and depending who we draw in the early rounds of the FA Cup).

I'd love him to be.

Let's not get carried away mind. One decent 45 minutes in pre season. He did seem to be measuring his passing/crosses better.

He also has a rocket of a shot.

A ridiculous amount needs improving mind.

I think hes better on the left wing because he plays with his head up. On the right wing he had the tendancy to just put his head down and charge, then smash the ball in the box as hard as he can.

On the left he was looking for passes, or taking the fullback on and actually passing into the box, did it just as well as Nani ever has to be fair!.

Played without nerves.

I suppose he's got nothing to lose, and it was a friendly.

The other times he's played he's looked like train wreck because of nerves.

Exactly.

It was so obvious that all the heavy touches and wild crosses were a result of a player who was far too tense and unable to relax and play his natural game. If nothing else, yesterday's performance showed the qualities that convinced our scouts he was worth a punt. I'd like to think it would also put to bed all the hare-brained conspiracy theories about him some sort of human brown envelope but I won't hold my breath.

FWIW, I think it's incredibly unlikely he'll have a long term career at United. There are rare examples of players who thrive at the top level after being plucked from lower leagues relatively late in life (Ian Wright would be a good example) but the odds are stacked against him. I would also be concerned that the nervousness he's shown in higher profile games and the lack of discipline in Turkey means that he might not have the right mindset for Manchester United. Good luck to him, though, wherever he ends up. It's a great story.
