Would be brilliant if he came back to United like a reborn player, but I think he needs to do better than what he did this season for that. Another loan, this time to a better team would be ideal. Though I don't know his contract situation.

Agree with this. He looks ridiculously fast - someone compared his raw pace to that of Bellion, who was amazingly fast, but he looks faster now even. He runs well with the ball, can dribble past players and shoots like a cannon, sometimes even one with an aim on.

I don't really see why we shouldn't give him another year just incase he turns out to be decent. His contract runs out this year if I'm not mistaken so he'd only leave on a free anyway.

Why ? We'll get nothing for him anyway so we might as well roll the dice on him this season and if it doesn't work then we've only missed out on a million quid, alternatively he does well... And we get rid of Ashley Young instead.

Sry, only had time today to answer this. Yeah, he has improved. He´s crossing better and has also evolved on his decision making. He is more experienced and has improved his work rate as well. He had some experienced managers at Rio Ave and Paços de Ferreira (Nuno Espírito Santo and Jorge Costa) who had important careers as players (at Porto and our National team) and you can see that their guidance and mentoring had an effect on Bebe. Although his team didn´t have a good year (terrible in fact, they went from 3rd last year to playing in a relegation play off), he did have a pretty good year on individual terms. I don´t think he will be called up to our National team for the World Cup but if he moves to a team like Sporting, Benfica or Braga, i can see Bebe becoming a portuguese internacional. He just has to mantain his good work, numbers and keep evolving. Still hasn´t proved that he is United level but he has obviously improved. Let´s see what´s the next step for Bebe.
I don't know it just seems like one of those things that would never work out. It would probably be the best for his career too.

Your FA shouldn't marginalise Bebé cos he's an orphan. Apart from Ronaldo, Di Maria & perhaps Nani, Bebe should be the next name on the squad list.

Seriously now, i think he won´t be called because Bento is like Scolari. He is very conservative regarding his choices. He has that set of players that he trusts and that´s it. Since he never used Bebe (either on qualifying matches or friendlies) i doubt he will be called. But he deserved the call up since he is way better than Varela, that´s for sure.Yeah he was. Don´t know mate. But when Bento names it, i´ll make a thread on the World Cup forum. I don´t think Hague can do anything. The real issue here is Ronaldo getting jealous because Bebe could steal his spotlight and lead us to Homeless world Cup...i mean World cup glory.

About your last part, what did Quaresma do, that it´s so deserving of a call up? I don´t agree with that at all. Quaresma has been an absolute zero in our national team and i can´t see why at 30 years of age, things will chance. Bebe has put up way better numbers than Quaresma. I don´t want the end of season Quaresma in our national team (i´d probably have the Quaresma from the Napoli or Eintrach Frankfurt Europa League matches though). I think he will go because we really have no other choices.

It all depends on what van Gaal wants. Personally, given that most of our wingers have been poor, I think we should give Bebe a chance and see what he can do now that he's a more refined player than before.
Given that van Gaal likes wide players with pace and trickery, Bebe can be a decent option for his setup.
Bebe looks like a totally different player to the one who joined United and became a joke. I felt that his United debut came too soon for a player with his lack of experience. Plus, i don't think he worked hard enough at the time to make improvements, but something had clicked in him and he looks like a very good player. Unfortunately, his improvement probably has come too late, out of sight, out of mind. I said last year that he would be an improvement over Young and Valencia, but few people laughed about that.

I think that a loan to a Championship club for half a season would be most beneficial from our point of view. But if he's wanted in Portugal, it's almost certainly his preference to stay there.

Roy of the Rovers type of story. LVG will speak with Giggs I guess for the SP. Unfortunately the back story of the lad meant he was always going to be viewed in a certain way. I dont think his performances were anything like as negative as some made out, and in fairness never really got the chance. I watched him in reserves and like Pogba before him, were easily the stand out players. Unfortunately at clubs like utd, you have to take the opportunities when they are given to you even if its a 20 min cameo.....and they did not.

The overreaction on here because of his performance against Crawley was way over the top. Posters were making out that he was a Sunday league footballer. He has proved himself to be a decent standard professional with his performances in the Portuguese league.
