Bebe

If we are talking about League One or Two level then yes he's a decent enough dribbler. And I'm sure he'd look very quick in those leagues. I'll look forward to watching him play there in a year or 2 because he's never making it here or anywhere in the Premier League, never in a million years.

As long as you look forward to it then that's the main thing, no one can ask any more or any less from you.

So being quick is relative to the league you are playing in? Luton Shelton played at Vålerenga in Norway - a limited footballer in a pretty rubbish league - yet he is/was arguably one of the fastest players in the world with a 40 yard dash two tenths quicker than Walcott (sounds a bit weird though). He may never make it, but you may still be a good dribbler and a very quick player. Your arguments are a bit hard to follow here, mate.

On the pitch he's slower than Nani

Considering Nani is very fast and has terrific acceleration, I don't think that speaks much. Lennon is faster on the pitch than Walker, but I would bet my money that Walker would outrun him in a straight race. Imo, Nani's pace is underrated.

Bébé (Paços de Ferreira) - Bébé played for Paços in their Portuguese Cup tie against Oliveirense. Bébé set up the first goal with a run down the left wing and a great cross to the back post which was finished by Jose Manuel. He was involved in the Beavers second goal as his volley was handled in the box and the penalty was handled by Manuel. He got a hat-trick of assists when he sep up Sergio Oliveira for Paços third. Paços ran out 3-1 winners despite going down to nine men.

Sounds like his last match there went well. (Pasted from here)

Glad he is doing well - always knew he had the skills, but was just lacking the football brain.
Still wont ever be good enough for us but at least we can recoup some of that fee!

I'm not saying Nani is slow, but he's not our fastest player. Bebe isnt as fast as Nani so lightning quick sounds wrong

Nani is better at using his pace and his acceleration is blistering. Bebe is more about top speed, hence my comparison of Lennon and Walker where Lennon can more easily skin a player than Walker who needs a yard or two to get going. Running through the defense though, I think few will match Bebe's pace. Nani would be our second fastest though (after Valencia), wouldn't he?

Depends on whether in a race between Nani and Valencia, Valencia ran the whole distance, or slowed down, turned and start running back towards our goal

Can't believe Lennon and Bebe are being used in the same sentence.

That's true, but on his way back to the opposition's goal, he would still outpace Young who is still standing with his ass stretched out towards an opponent who is not there, yet still manages to lose the ball!

Bébé started Paços’ 0-0 draw against Arouca. The Beavers dominated the game and managed to keep their first clean sheet of the season. Bébé was unfairly challenged by Nuno Coelho, who was red carded for the offence. He was substituted with a dislocated collarbone in the 81st minute as a result of the foul.

:(

Tried to do some research on how long that'll keep him out for. Found a cyclist website where somebody was saying they'd disclocated theirs, and doctors had told them that there's a recovery period of up to three months.

Has anyone actually seen him in action for them?

I broke my collarbone once - hurt like hell, so I definitely feel for the lad. I think I was missing in action for no more than two months, and I was a goalie so that had to be in order. Sounded like he was playing well, so it's a real pity.

shame - was playing regularly and doing pretty well from all accounts

He's big and he's got very little talent. Its quite a shame that he isn't an Everton player. I reckon that some manager would have sanctioned a 27m deal to get him to a big club.;)

Aye, then we'd have a certain person who makes very little sense throwing his spastic cliches with even higher frequency ;)

You've also seen them do something useful from time to time.

True. It just seemed a bit of a cheap stick to beat him with considering all manner of players have missed chances like that, right from the top level of football to the bottom. It's his overall game I'd be worried about, not cocking up a single chance in front of goal.

I am part of the furniture Kostur. Get used to it :p

Am confused, thought he was out 3 months?

There are two ligaments holding the end of the collar bone in place. The most common injury is to sprain one or the other of them. This hurts like a son of a bitch but recovers fairly quickly. Tearing either or both ligaments is considerably more serious. Sounds like he had a sprain. (In the States they are all described as 'a shoulder separation' of varying degrees. The sprain is a first degree.)

Can't be any worse than Valencia or young surely  great strike though

 He looked almost confused as he did the Gareth Bale(TM) celebration.

The feck? He hits that with the outside of his right foot, intentionally. Really odd technique.

He looks like he's aiming to boot it towards the corner flag. Old habits die hard.
