Bebe

He is a Centre forward. Why oh why must he play on the wing? It's like Diouf. We play him as a winger for the first team, then he goes to Germany and scores for fun.

Yeah, we should play him ahead of RvP and Hernandez. Hell, we'll flog Rooney off, the useless twat, who cares, we've got Bebe.

Shock horror, Bebe can actually cross. People judged him so unfairly based on 2 games and haven't stopped ridiculing him. Should have had an assist, looks a lot more confident too.

He's barely a footballer, let alone a centre forward.

The sooner he's gone the best for everyone. The running gag isn't much of a gag now.

But 3 good crosses against AIK, he's won a few over!

Yeah the only good things he's done since he's been here right?

Bebe is a decent footballer. Just not United level. You dont play for Rio Ave without being decent. Bebe is at least Championship level in England.

I'm just putting it out there that I think Bebe is PL quality. Is he United quality? I wouldn't close the door on him, I think it's unfair to judge him on the limited chances he's had, I'd like to see him get a few chances before I reserve judgement on that one.

Is he feck United quality. I doubt there are many teams in the PL willing to give him a chance either.

Yeah, lets ignore the impressive tour he had last summer and his good spells on both loans.
I have nothing against Bebe but isn't it a bit of an exaggeration to say that his loan to Besiktas was a good spell? He was fine at Rio Ave by most accounts but 2 goals in 18 games wasn't really a massive return.

Some are being harsh here. He may not be United quality but he'd be good atleast in the Championship if not a slightly higher level.

Things didn't really end up working out for him there, but I know at the start of his loan the Besiktas fans were very impressed with him.

Will be like a new signing, having him back.

A shite signing, but a signing none the less. Beggars and choosers and all that.

He isn't a shite footballer by any stretch of the imagination. He has terrific pace - his top speed really is tremendous - and he has a hammer of a shot on him. He also seems to dribble quite well, but like many tall players he can look a bit clumsy, yet rarely loses the ball. Considering his age when entering the big leagues, I think he is still a fairly big unpolished talent. He has quite a few attributes in his locker. The only problem is that as a striker, which he claims to be, he will get very little playing time at United. If he can adapt to a winger, he can get some game time and maybe improve with that. I don't see him as a lost cause yet.

He's 23 now, I still say we should persist with him for another couple of seasons, given his background it was never going to happen for him straight away. A loan to a championship or lower premiership team may be best this season.

If we're serious about developing him, he will need a loan with a mid to lower table Prem side in order to develop his skills a bit more. He would have developed significantly faster had he not gotten that season ending injury in Turkey two seasons ago.

There arent a ton of good wingers in the league..
Again.. don't go by his age.. he started later than most footballers. He's fine.. and is improving.

Hopefully he sticks around to improve a bit more and gets a decent club.

Probably, but it might be wise to have him till January and get him a bit more settled at the club; furthermore, I think a player with his physique would benefit tremendously from lifting weights and doing some proper running exercises. He's already electric, but imagine what he could be with the proper training.

Yeah very true. Hope to see more of him this year.

Me too, enjoying the positivity from a select few.

And how do you pronounce it ?
You pronounce it Behbeh, both syllables are read in the same way. It's a common mistake to write Bébé because that's how it sounds, but Portuguese words can only carry one of the three accent marks (´ ` ^). The tilde can coexist with one of those because it isn't an accentuation mark.

He will always be remembered as worst debut ever in premierleague history, and that's about it.
