Would you be happy to see Jose Mourinho become next United manager?

The latter I would imagine,I thought ti was quite poor from City tbh.

It's only poor if you think that they didn't told it to Pellegrini when he signed a new contract last year, I'm fairly sure that he knew and that the length of his contract is only a compensation.

For me its like being asked if I want to wear a colostomy bag.

The initial answer is a definite no. But if you think about it, come to terms with the fact you have a serious illness and think about the alternatives, you are likely to conclude that actually you do quite want one after all. Its not something you feel like shouting from the rooftops about, but you are looking forward to being able to go out in public and get back to something like normal.

Mourinho is our colostomy bag.
Jesus

Probably doesn't want to start right away so he can't be blamed for us not getting top 4 - plus he'd be stuck with Van Gaal's squad.

Colostomy bag indeed. It's a desperate choice, has to be a helluva contract full of bizarre clauses
How is appointing one of the best managers in the game a "desperate choice"?

I'm just asking. I'm not a fan of Jose. But calling it a desperate choice is a bit absurd. Unless you're purely referring to his behavior issues and the like?

How about because he got fired from his last job 6 months into the season.

And that automatically wipes out all his achievements before? Look, I'm not even a fan of Jose and if we had better options, I'd be all for it. But appointing one of the best managers around can hardly be called "desperate"?

I'm going by history - all the jobs he's gotten have been when the clubs have been desperate. Why do you think SAF ignored him when everyone knew how much Mou openly courted/craved the position?

The One!
The special little snowflake

What else would you call it? He gets fired for doing a shitty job and next he lands the best job in the market. Desperate is putting it mildly.

Because he wanted David Moyes, the Scotisch Miracle, the Ginger Messiah, our saviour, the Chosen One !

Brilliant choice from SAF !

Doesnt that answer the question?
Possibly , but the reason I wouldn't want him, wouldn't be because he was fired less than 6 months ago, or because "he won't be successful", it'll be a moral/value category reason and those are very subjective. Fact is, he's a serial winner in a world/sport where the only thing that almost matter is, winning. So I'd hardly call appointing the best around as "desperate". That's just my opinion anyway.

I'm not sure about the SAF part hey FC. Apparently he was on SAF's list but SBC turned him down due to said issues, above. But that's not confirmed, as far as I'm aware.

I do agree with a part of what you're saying. Like I said, if a Klopp (pre-Pool) was available, or Ancelotti (hell, my first choice was Pep!) - they'd have been my choice before Jose. But my opinion is just, classifying appointing someone who's near the best in their field of expertise as "desperation" is harsh.

I don't know entropy, I'd call it a reasoned, logical choice if I'm honest. If my business was at serious risk of falling behind their competitors, and there's a CEO available, who was fired from his last job, but he has a great history of turning 5-6 other companies into champions, with very little alternatives, it'd be madness on my part to not try and appoint this person.

But hey, let me stop here before I get thrown in with the Mou brigade . Like I said, he wasn't actually anywhere near my first choice. I'm just able to see why our Board would do it.
