The Mata thing could be a new kit, Adidas have used next seasons kit for the last game of the current season before now.

They're meeting up to invent bonkers co92 conspiracy theories they can mindf*ck me with. The fiends!

I'm 100000% sure they're planning something arrogantly ambitious, egotistical and downright evil when it comes to their machievellian takeover of United...

*actual conversation between Lim and the co92*

NAPOLEAN NEVILLE: "Alright, Pete, how's things?"
EVIL EMPEROR LIM: "Not bad, mate. Is Macari's chippy still open?"

all the secrecy is like a plot from WWE

Maybe Mata is introducing some new players to his stable. A masked man will run out on the pitch, unveiled to be Ronaldo. Jim Ross will be screaming on commentary "Ronaldo! Ronaldo is here! What's he doing here!?"

Juan's going to leak it.

2 more days....till LVG gets the sack?

I think that Mourinho should be announced in a very theatrical manner.
Like a Hollywood/WWE type stunt.

Maybe he will have a scripted argument, between LVG and Jose, near our dug-out (each with their own microphone) arguing over who should manage MUFC.
Perhaps Mata will then run out, holding back LVG. And another player shall hold back Mourinho as they appear to be getting ready to get physical.
Then enter Woodward, with a third microphone to adjudicate who will manage us next season...

Woodward in the Vinnie McMahon role, like it. Maybe Stone Cold Jaap Stam will run out and stunner him.

Then Vinnie..uhh..Woodie will announce a hardcore match, winner gets the job

unfortunately LVG would probably win after tiring mourinho out by running from side to side for 90 minutes and never attacking

Then you wake up realise that its Van Gaal who will be taking us to glory and start to cry.

Mata would make the worst wrestler ever.

"It was me dammit! It was me all along!

Hugs and kisses,

Juan x"

Want him to join but playing devil's advocate here: selling Lukaku and De Bruyne, benching and destroying the world's best Lb Felipe Luis, signing crap like Salah and Cuadrado and give them feck all games.

Is it me or has he got the potential to be another ginormous flop and every bit as infriating as LvG.

I guess the bright side is...he managed to make so many disastrous decisions in one season and still won the league title

And swapping Lukaku and Diego Costa isn't a disastrous decision.

But, there is a great deal of hindsight with Pogba. Pogba had not proved anything yet when he left Manchester United. De Bruyne and Lukaku proved to be good players before Mourinho was rid of them.

When he has the physicality and shows great promise, which he did back then, to play absolute shit players ahead of him or convert full backs to midfielders, you can't blame him for leaving. I don't think there's a great deal of hindsight. Sure, he may have become better than some thought, but I'd boil it down to stubborness/stupidity/brainfart.

How can Lukaku be a mistake if Diego Costa came in and won the title for Chelsea. Jose didn't think he was ready to carry the goal scoring burden for a team with ambitions and Lukaku wanted regular football. If you look at Lukaku's performances, Jose was right.

Does anyone think that Rashford will be our first choice starter under Van Gaal next season?

Because everyone knew he'd develop quickly and suit the Prem.

And I don't think Van Gaal will be managing United next season.

This ^. Chelsea needed a main guarantee goal scorer after years of F.Torres, a year of Eto'o. Lukaku was good, but was not proven/ safe bet. Lukaku wanted first team place which understandably couldn't be guaranteed (similar to KDB was not nowadays good vs Willian & Hazzard). Turned out last season, every parties involved won.

It's only this season where Chelsea failure, Diego Costa, Hazzard terrible form and lack of reinforce (Mou was rumoured after Martial, John Stones, but got BaBa, Falcao); while KDB moved to City for high fee and Lukaku reached a new level that change everyone perspective. Hindsight is 20/20.

I'm not keen on derailing this thread but I do want to say Mourinho didn't need the benefit of hindsight to know he fluffed up KDB. The lad started 5 games in half a season. He should have been involved in far more even baring in mind the competition he had in Wilian/Hazard. He had Oscar ahead of him (which made little sense because Oscar wasn't showing additional value).

KDB wanted/demanded guaranteed game time. Oscar had been fine with any management decision. KBD was the one actively requested to the move and after assessing the squad Mou accepted the request.

Oscar had a great workrate and during the first part when Hazard wasn't defending enough, Oscar was a balancing player.

I can buy that, but it still doesnt make sense that KDB gets 5 games in half a season.

A player of KDB's quality is right to do so. He deserved more game time than he got, and there wasn't a need for hindsight to know that. I recall Chelsea fans generally being displeased when he was sold.
