That's coming from De Bruyne's agent, hardly an objective view .
Mourinho wanted to keep him.

Not enough.

Mourinho would have had a much better chance this year if he had kept De Bruyne, Lulaku and Luis. All fantastic players. He risked the long term health of the club because he needed to win something here and now. Such a bad stratagem to have.

Not when you are at a club where you can get sacked a year after a double (Ancelloti) or after 2 titles, an fa cup and 2 league cups (his first time).

I would have thought if he is under pressure to be always winning, that is the clubs policy. As shown by the number of kids they bring through no matter who the manager is.

Firstly let's nail this nonsense that there's some kind of secret agreement in place to make Mourinho our manager. There isn't. If there were, we'd be legally obliged to notify the NYSE as a change of manager is something that would affect the share price of the company. The best we could have at present is a dated option i.e. we pay him x amount not to take any other job and we have to decide by a certain date whether we wish to secure his services or not.

As for Woodward, the jury's still out. So far he's demonstrated he can run a business but he's yet to show he can successfully run a football club. There's a world of difference. We should find out more in the next 4 weeks, by which time the season will be over and the big decisions will have to be made.
My understanding of the NYSE regulations, specifically the timely alert policy, is that we only have to give them notice when we intend to make a public announcement. In addition we are obliged to monitor the market and and if there is unusual trading activity that suggests a leak we should take steps to make the true position clear.

We're not required to routinely inform the Exchange of anything we're going to be doing down the line, especially where such an announcement could have adverse affects on the performance of the company (which undermining the current manager clearly would).

I see nothing wrong with that. One of the schools I attended had that mentality running right throughout the whole institution - and still today it stays the same way - and they are still extremely successful. No matter how talented you were, if you didn't give 100% dedication, you would be told off pretty harshly. If you still didn't improve, you'd be axed from the team.

That's why I defend Mourinho on that point, there is nothing wrong in itself as long as he is strict in the way he selects players that he wants to purchase, you can't purchase a player who doesn't have those traits and then blame the player. People laughed at the idea of certain players joining Simeone, they acknowledge the fact that to play for him you need to have a certain type of personality, it's the same thing for Mourinho and it was the same thing for Ferguson.

We spoke to Van Gaal while Moyes was still manager. Dutch press alluded to as much. Spurs were interested and he left those talks as ,in his own words,he had gotten a better offer.

where was that NYSE announcement? it's the biggest myth peddled around here. NYSE is brought up all the time in here. Whenever an announcement isnt made,it's because the NYSE market hasn't opened.

If a contract is signed the FA have to be notified within a certain time period. I forget the exact rule but it's the reason City made the Pep deal public.

Jornal de Notícias is usually reliable and has links to Eládio Paramés who is Mourinho's media rep. Get ready for Mou

You're our biggest ally Sly.

 Now i will have to find a way to keep United as my second club and not hate Mourinho. The only plus is watching Twiggnater's meltdown when Mourinho is presented.

Van Gaal hadn't signed a contract either. But that didnt mean he wasn't our next manager.

The great things about laws are this they can be quite pedantic. We have the lawyers for that. We don't have to have two managers signed tò contracts (Mou and Van Gaal). We aren't Liverpool.

Done deal for me. Couldn't be all this smoke without fire.

I was against the idea, as this Mourinho, Mendes, Money triumvirate goes against everything this great club stood for under Sir Alex.

Someone once said

"Poverty has a way of taking the edge off principles. Hunger can blunt them altogether"

Within 3 seasons of the great man retiring we're so desperate we've abandoned everything he taught us.

Ah yes, let us never forget SAF's famed principles against shady dealings involving Mendes and money

Watch him tear apart this promising young team and love us in tatters in 2 seasons.
