Mendes earning his money I see. This is nothing but a well timed tactic to get Utd to finalise the deal.

Do you know what, hopefully it is and hopefully it works. About time there was some clarity about what the feck is going on.

These rumours are getting shut down by our journalists already and no one in the French media is running with them, seems a bit too obvious that this is a load of bull.

Not got a problem with it. Mendes well within right to do this. Mourinho can't sit on a gentlemans agreement forever.

Nope. Not even one french outlets running with it.

Men journalist on the PSG link-

What jose said earlier about PSG-

As far as MEN is considered, they are a joke. They have been writing articles on a daily basis why Mou should be hired, from the day he was sacked at Chelsea, and a article every day since our 3-0 loss vs Arsenal why LVG should be sacked. Its possibly the biggest bias I have seen by a news agency. Quoting does nothing for your point. Miguel Delaney too has had a lot of things wrong in recent past, so again would rather believe Sky (also I like the idea of not having Mou at Utd)

The same Sky sources who said Utd signed Gundogan? They've picked up on the French story and labelled it their source. The days of Sky being some form of iron clad story with integrity are long gone.

Yeah I don't think the MEN know much, it's more of a printed fan blog than a newspaper now. Not sure about Delaney.

This is the main reason you are choosing to believe it, also the reason why the people who don't want him are choosing not to. Got to love to be a sports journalist, it's a piece of piss.

Still more reliable than MEN- which is like caf if you take away freedom of speech

Let's be honest, if he wanted a challenge, he'd have been all over the Syria job. He's going to Paris.

PSG will offer him stupid money, literally Guardiola scale money at City. CL football although with managers it isnt the be all and end all, chance to win the CL along with a few more league titles and enhance his CV.

Blanc clearly is not going to win PSG the CL so the move from PSG's end makes absolute sense. I also think Mourinho would take the job. Most of the journos who were certain he was heading to Utd are slowly playing the "LVG may stay" card. Arguably the most reliable, or one of, Dutch journo with excellent connections says LVG is staying for a 3rd yr.

Mourinho's comments "I want to go where I am 'really' wanted" were pretty telling, given that he himself has probably read the stories that most of the board want Giggs to be next manager. This PSG link has legs IMO

He said his first choice is to stay in England. I think if we want him things like wages aren't going to be a problem. It's obvious he wants to come here and it's only if we don't offer him a contract that he will end up in Paris

'Sky Sources' also said we had a deal for Benatia, Ramos and Gundogan

I believe Don Di Marzio

In fairness all of those may well have been in place. They never said we had signed them, and Di Marzio is a sky italia source isn't he? Or is that a completely different company to Sky.

same i think

He is still the best manager on the planet IMO. Man management wise possibly could do with some work, but as a winner, none better. Don't anyone dare give me the Guardiola shite.

I think Simeone is a better manager at the moment, but Mourinho is still one of the best.

I will stop the doom and gloom. Here is the ESPN tory right now:devil::)

Jose Mourinho is still targeting the Manchester United job this summer, sources close to both manager and club have told ESPN FC, despite reports on Tuesday that Paris Saint-Germain had made an official approach.

Mourinho would only consider a move to another club if the Old Trafford job was 100 percent off the table, but many connected to the situation believe it is increasingly likely the former Chelsea manager will be appointed at United to replace Louis van Gaal.

There have already been extensive discussions, while sources told ESPN FC that Mourinho has started reaching out to potential members of his backroom staff, although no contract has been signed yet and the situation remains open.

Mourinho's camp reached out to PSG -- and Inter Milan -- in October when the prospect of him getting sacked by Chelsea first arose, but the latest reports -- which the French club have said "no comment" to -- are wide of the mark.

Indeed, sources close to PSG say the situation has moved on since then, and there is a willingness to give Laurent Blanc, who signed a new two-year contract in January, at least another season to win the Champions League, despite last week's quarterfinal elimination to Manchester City.
There has been another link between PSG and Mourinho, however, as the Portuguese has expressed approval towards the idea of United signing Zlatan Ibrahimovic on a free transfer in the summer.

The Sweden international would be one of five main first-team signingsMourinho would plan for the Old Trafford club, including two defenders, a commanding midfielder -- with Benfica's Renato Sanches hugely admired -- and a fast winger. The 53-year-old is also a huge admirer of Tottenham's Harry Kane.

Sources say Mourinho has also privately been raving about the form of Marcus Rashford, and would see him as a playing a key role in his United team.

Haha someone already beat you to it
EDIT: My bad I actually read it in the Mourinho to PSG thread earlier

What do you people think about his Chelsea season? Did the infamous Chelsea locker room doom him like they did with many other managers or did he just get stale with his tactics? I mean I've seen some egregiously bad games from the likes of Matic and Fabregas which is basically their engine room early in the season but its not like those guys have improved much since he left. So was it a case of the players over achieving last season or the manager underachieving this year?

Sacchi used to say that each team has a cycle and once that cycle is gone, that team needs a major shake up irrespective of how good the team is. I believe that Chelsea needed new blood, a problem Maureen identified at the end of last season and Roman had failed to address during summer. Once it became obvious that Mourinho wanted change, it became impossible for him to remain at Chelsea with the present side and still remain successful. This team won the league for Chelsea and the manager 'thanked' them by asking for a major shakeup . There's no way they would help him out at that point.

I think that mourinho is to blame for Chelsea more than van gaal for us this season. True he didn't get a lot of players he wanted but it's still a massive underachievement to go to 17th.

That said, overall I think he still is obviously a good manager and I think we need him to get back into winning ways before we can get a good longer term manager.

Conte will come in and do exactly what Jose wanted to do. If those players think they are safe they are in for one hell of a shock.

Mourinho is partly responsible for what happened at Chelsea. No way that team should be where they are now, absolutely no way.

I think his outbursts and in house fallings out, which were obvious at Chelsea, are just baggage and will follow him everywhere

This is a good view and something I underestimated. I also think this was the first time he was looking to marginalize Terry in the starting X1 and doing that at Chelsea is basically writing your own ticket out. Their lack of transfer spending was very suspicious.

Fergie stooped to anything to win. And damn well he should. You don't win trophies with a club full of Juan Matas.

Mourinho poked a man in the eye. Big deal. Fergie was never any sort of angel. And still isn't. If it came to it, Fergie would hang anyone out to dry to get his hands on a league title. Fact! And I have no problem with it

Manchester United has an obligation to be entertaining, to make the fans dream and to challenge for the top honours..... Will Mourinho fix everything? Nope!
Will he help? Too fecking right he will

Yes, yes yes.

Lets hope that his habit of winning trophies also follow him to our club. ;)

To whoever deleted my 2 posts:

The first one, OK, wasn't funny. But the second one was genius.

Sir Alex fell out with plenty of players. But the club backed him & moved them on. Maybe there's a lesson Chelsea should have looked at.
