Jose said he told KdB that there were no guarantee starters in his squad and that he would have to compete with Oscar, Mata, and Hazard for a spot. KdB didn't like that. So he asked to be sold. To be fair to Jose, he started KdB for the first three games that year, and when he dropped him to give Mata and Oscar playing time, KdB flipped.

What did you expect for a manager coming into a team with a new squad. He had to see what his best team was. KdB comes off as a mentally weak person, much like Lukaku, and I doubt Jose tolerates these characters.

I don't blame Jose for selling him, but if I play well for the first 3 games and then get dropped I will also flip

But that's just it - he knows the majority of the fans are against him being appointed at this moment. There was an article where it was stated that Giggs knows this but he believes he's ready. Honestly, either ambition has completely blinded him, or he has no self awareness. What's clear is that he obviously doesn't take a logical view to this else he would have his friends/ex teammates stop pushing him for a job he's not ready for, and is more likely than not to back fire so badly for him.

You are correct of course, and the whole situation is baffling to me, do the people behind this propaganda trail think it's really working? All it does is drive a deeper divide between most of the fans, they know full well what's going on, and Giggs, Fergie, Scholes, Yorke, Cole, etc, etc, would be well advised to give it a rest.

With comments like that from Rio and the utter shite Robson and Yorke are coming out with, it's hard not to ignore the rumours about what's going on.

Robbo actually tried to make it that because Giggs played for Wales, it should be counted as a reason for him to get the job. "People say he lacks experience but, hang on. He played for Wales at international level"

So did Mark Hughes...More experience as a manager and coach than Giggs...Why isn't he in the frame then? Laughable imo
People just can't bring themselves to confront the reality that there is more to the Giggs story because it changes their perception of men we grew up idolizing. Its been how many weeks that we have been bombarded with this 'he knows the club' shit from different men with one thing in common, they played with Giggs under Fergie? Call us consipiracy theorists or whatever but this idea, as stupid as it is, doesn't get this much traction without a powerful force giving it momentum.

Agreed.

When the rumours first started to filter out from "ITKs" and fanzines, it was understandable to dismiss it somewhat but, it just keeps snowballing and it all seems to be people either working for the club, mates with Giggs or pals with Fergie that are coming out saying it. That tonight with Rio was ridiculous and anyone with a single brain cell could see through it

Rio with the subtle digs at Mourinho on BT

"De Bruyne probably left Chelsea because he didn't agree with Mourinho's philosophy"

Incredible

What has he said wrong? Isn't that a fact?

He previously said this though which isn't wrong at all.

Jose Mourinho's name is getting mentioned. If you want someone whose got a career track record in winning in the Premier League and various other countries, then he's that guy," Ferdinand told NDTV.

"But if you want someone who understands the philosophy, whose respectful of the philosophy, who identifies with the fans, knows the place inside out, who's going to be a bigger risk, then Ryan Giggs is that guy."

I hate this word philosophy now, thank you LVG

But why would any of us want a big risk at the moment in time though?

And "respectful of the philosophy" "identifies with the fans" "knows the place inside out" all those repeated soundbytes, it's that's the criteria for the job then why aren't Scholes, Bruce, Hughes, Solskjaer, Neville and Keane being mentioned? All of them bar Scholes have more experience than Giggs and the others have had more success and experience.

Oh it works on the type of consumer being targeted by this, the one who is shaking Vangle's hand whilst he is burning our house down or the ones who gave Moyes a standing ovation whilst he was dragging the club into the abyss. People who think they are too classy, too loyal to point out when the club is being driven down the wrong path. Patience is a virtue but in our case it has ensured that the club takes us for granted whilst reducing this great institution to a laughing stoke.

Can't get away from the fact that De Bruyne was a massive feck up by Mourinho.

Yeah it is on level with Fergie and Pogba! That doesn't mean a thing. Feck up happens and its not as if Chelsea's Academy is churning out players after players who have gone elsewhere and set that league on Fire!

Yes this of course. But worse is what it would do to Giggs to have to live with the consequences if he got the job and made a mess. It really would not be pretty. I hate to say it, but looks more and more like 'someone' is furthering their self interest, and just using Giggs to get what they want - even if they haven't set out to deliberately 'use' him.

Surely if his friends care about him, they would try to be realistic about the situation, and not encourage such a risk? He's young and has all the opportunities available to build his career in management at a steady pace, so why the big hurry? It baffles me. People saying if he leaves that would be that, it's not true, if he shows he's an unbelievable manager, he will always have a chance to be United manager.

No way Mourinho will go to a league with only one team.
He wants a challenge.

PSG failing yet again in the CL....Can't see Blanc surviving that, contract or not.
I think he wants to be back in the Premier League personally. He probably feels like he has a point to prove after the disaster with Chelsea this season. It still feels like he'll be your manager next season.

Most approproate Freudian slip ever.

Anyway he isn't going to France. He told he wants a difficult league and wants to manage in England. It's gonna be us people.

There's literally no chance of him going to PSG, that league is basically the exact opposite of everything he said he wants.

At least panic with some decent logic.

We'll scrape 4th at the death and LVG will be given another season
Meanwhile PSG or Real will fire their managers for not winning the CL and line up Mourinho in secret
Then Liverpool will win the EL
City win the CL and qualify for next years competition even though they were 5th
Having watched our sworn enemies clean up in Europe we get a small consolation of seeing LVG fired for taking us out of the CL
Mourinho is openly confirmed as Real /PSG manager
Giggs confirmed United manager with 6 year deal.
Woodward announces new sponsorship deal with a screw manufacturer

Yet another discussion on Giggs in a thread relating solely to Mourinho.

If people want to discuss Giggs, just a suggestion here - why not do it in one of the many threads about Giggs?

The way Mourinho has talked about the of competitiveness of leagues, there's no chance he'd go to PSG.

whose respectful of the philosophy, ???

who identifies with the fans, what does this mean? Wouldn't Mourinho identify with the fans as well? Didn't the Chelsea and Inter fans idolise him?

knows the place inside out, same as Paddy Crerand, Fred the Red and that chef Van Gaal keeps namechecking

who's going to be a bigger risk, is this a good thing?

then Ryan Giggs is that guy."

I see what you did there.

When did Bryan Robson say that?

I bumped into a Chelsea supporting mate this morning who was spiting nails about how Mourinho got rid of De Bruin over some minor slight to his ego. Said we'd be mad to hire him.

No he'd just watched City last night and realised Chelsea had ditched one of the best young players in Europe for no good reason.
