It rose sharply at the last World Cup and then gradually fell again, so it's due a boost.
I better buy shares in him now then, could be worth a fortune by August.

That's Van Gaal is here, if Van Buyten Dante or Boateng can form a "good" defence then don't worry Jones smalling and Evans can, it all depends on how we play as a team.
For Chaky best post:
Kroos: we are probably interested but what can we do if his club doesn't want to sell him to us.
Modric: Levy refuse to sell his player to us despite the fact that we were the highest bidder.
Fabregas: his all family is in London and his Girlfriend wants to live in London
Koke: Pure invention, of course all the clubs in the world are interested and they are all failing, United wasn't the most interested club.
Schweinsteiger: Time will tell.
We were the highest bidder for Modric?
I never heard about that. I think levy was holding out for 40m and Madrid bid 37.5 and modric wanted Madrid as well.
Regarding cesc, I believe LVG didn't want him...for whatever reason.
We should have went all out for Modric before Madrid even took interest. Surely we knew that Scholes was coming to an end, yet we did nothing until it was too late.
We did like Chelsea and Man city but Levy was very reluctant to sell his player to an english club.
That defence is pretty shite though.

Hopefully we have someone else in mind. Someone younger that will put to bed our midfield issues for a long time.
I believe Levy wanted 40m for Modric... SAF didnt want to pay that much and after the Berbatov transfer neither SAF nor Levy were too thrilled to deal with each other.
Madrid offered 37.5M and Levy accepted...and who is laughing today?
SAF stated more than once than Modric was the closest thing to Scholes and yet he didnt want to spend the money to acquire him and since then we have been looking for "value in the market".
We really have no one but ourselves to blame for the predicament we are in today.
Madrid, Barca and Bayern bought players from a position of power, we completely dropped the ball.

If Schweinsteiger comes he can be a mainstay in midfield for 3-4 years but we obviously need more than him. If we are to bring in younger players we need some experience.Hopefully we have someone else in mind. Someone younger that will put to bed our midfield issues for a long time.
He wanted 40m from Madrid, and more from english clubs like he wanted 100m euros for Bale but 100m£ from english clubs
I may have to do some digging, but I am sure I recall Levy wanting 40M for Modric and SAF stating that he wasnt worth 40m.
SAF negociating, he won't say "yeah totally worth it", because you know Levy, if you're willing to pay the price he increases it.
Levy's quoted price for Berbatov did not change.
I believe that transfer went to the last hour of deadline day because we were trying to get the fee down.
I think that if we offered the 40M at that point, Modric would be our player.
Modric didn't want to play for United.
Its not that he didnt want to play for United, its that as soon as Madrid offered the money he was off.
I think if we offered the money and showed we wanted him before Madrid, he would possibly be ours.
We were on his trail for a very long time... madrid just came in and scooped him up.. like the PSG/Lucas transfer.
That summer I seem to remember Modric wanted to play for Chelsea and not United, however Tottenham didn't want to sell him to Chelsea and ended up selling him to Madrid.
I don't care about our opposition but this team can easily be competitive
------------De Gea------------
Rafael-----Jones---Evans----Shaw
-------Strootman---Bastian--------
Sanchez---Mata/Rooney-----Januzaj
-----------RVP/Welbeck------------
I'd add a quality CB if possible.
There is no way that Bayern are going to let both Kroos and Schweinsteiger go in the same summer. If we want Schweini then Kroos has to sign a new contract. If he doesn't then he'll be sold and if we take as gospel the idea that we don't want him or he has rejected us, we have to hope that he does sign a new contract. Otherwise he'll be off to Madrid and we'll be looking for another target.
I can believe that we will bid for him but can anyone really see a world class player of his standing wanting to play for a team not in the champions league, in the late peak of his career?
I agree. I don't see room for Rooney. I think it would be better for both parties if he were to leave.Honestly don't see room for Rooney in the starting 11.. he's not as good as Mata as a 10 and although he's a world class striker VP is currently better by a distance. Of course he could replace Mata in games where we need extra help in midfield, playing the likes of Fabregas, Matic and Oscar for example. Good line up though, that 11 with LVG can only mean attractive football if only those targets were attainable AND we added a world class CB i.e Hummels, he's a ball playing CB too so having him beside the rock that is Jones would be something else!
Easier said than done, teams weren't exactly lining up for him last summer when he wanted to leave. Other than Arsenal who are unlikely to match his wages no team will be interested.I agree. I don't see room for Rooney. I think it would be better for both parties if he were to leave.
Exactly, that's the problem. I think he would be a decent lone striker for Barca with Neymar and Messi off him. Swap with Sanchez?Easier said than done, teams weren't exactly lining up for him last summer when he wanted to leave. Leg day does not get missed by Bastian.
Bit depressing that we are seemingly briefing the press that we are preparing to bid for a player. Reminds me way too much of the Fabregas saga last season. "Hey look, we are trying hard to get World Class players in, it is not our fault they will not join us."
Very unlikely, maybe Monaco?Exactly, that's the problem. I think he would be a decent lone striker for Barca with Neymar and Messi off him. Swap with Sanchez?
Yeah, possibly.Very unlikely, maybe Monaco?
