Good for him.If rumours about him and Ivanović are true then I imagine so, quite often too.

I am very optimistic regarding this transfer, more than the Gündogan one. Seems the perfect time for him to move on and Louis knows him.
would you rather bastian or gundogan?
We could end up with Schweiny and Schneidy.for 10 mill its a no-brainer.
rotating him and Carrick in the #6 role would prolong both their careers.
We still need another box to box though (Scheiderlin)

Rooney?Schweiny
Schneidy - Verraty
?
Rooney?
I watched it too yesterday. Müller will be staying i think, but Schweini looked a bit suspicious to me, especially the Feier beast part.
How would Carrick and Bastian work together as a double pivot? You could then shuffle AdM, Mata or Herrera as a #10.
His surname refers to an ancestry of pig breeders or so they say.

I think Schweinsteiger + Carrick would work better though. Carrick is less dominant in possession and more a player who keeps the game ticking rather than someone like Alonso or Pirlo, who want every build-up to run through them and love to hold on to the ball for a bit, while the rest of the team moves around.

Yeah, I'd say it's 60-40 that he leaves either this or next season. He's different to Lahm and Müller. He always had the desire to play in England and now that he has won everything with Bayern, it's a great time to make that step. I doubt he would have left, if we failed to win the CL. His new relationship makes it even easier, I doubt Ana Ivanovic cares where he lives for the next 3-4 years.Do you reckon there a chances of him leaving ? He strikes me as a one club man and still very much wanted by Guardiola. Reminds me of the multiple Bayern players we were linked with before (Lahm, Muller and even him in 2010).
Don't think though, no. Pace is a bit overrated when it comes to defensive midfielders in my opinion. But I don't think you can plan with both of them as regular starters anyway, it should be an option for specific opponents or in case other midfielders aren't available, not the main plan for a full season.Wouldn't we get overrun in the midfield, though? Neither Michael nor Bastian are sprinters really.
Not that I mind getting Schweinsteiger myself, mind, just don't think that Carrick + Schweinsteiger duo would work.
Bastian's Swine-Tiger
I was wondering what the source of the new thread title was.
I don't see this happening.
He will retire at Munich.
I think we will buy both Gundogan and Swiney. Along with Carrick we can have a 'fit at the same time' thread for them.
Bastian.
