Baby elephant is growing quickly in the room

Baby elephant definitely added a few pounds, during the last 2 weeks, since our last game.
If this growth continues, the baby elephant could become a huge problem. :p

He's fine, we're just getting started. We set up a system tonight designed purely to shut Liverpool down and it worked, Pogba was crucial in that and he played well off the ball. It was difficult in possession, he's triple marked every time he has the ball and we didn't play a game that suited him when attacking.

He is not triple marked every time he gets the ball. Hes marked the same as every other player and he doesn't have the ability to move the ball quick enough or play at premier league speed at the moment that's his main problem.

He played shit but still created a huge chance for Ibra after a little bit of magic. He is really talented so even when he plays shit he is capable of being important.

He does need to improve though

the frenchman cleverly set up a chance ibra should have scored. happy with him so far.

He might not have his best game tonight but it is hard to play with a forward like zlatan in his current form though.

Zlatan could be actually THE elephant in the room for our shit output up front.

Starting to think we are just jinxed, Messi will turn to shit when we sign him next.

Don't fret, the Wazza cycle is almost back at "he's a No.9"

erm, that Coutinho chance saved by DDG happened because Pogba never closed him down!

I said when we bought him he plays in moments not periods so I'm not surprised by the inconsistency either within games or even having 1 good game in 4, we're still not really playing to get the most out of him though because he isn't a number 10

Moyes buys Fellaini, but he only becomes useful when LvG takes over.
LvG buys Herrera but he only really starts to shine when Mourinho takes over.
Mourinho buys Pogba.....

Not great but still created the only chance of the game for us. The one bit of attacking quality all game came from him.

He should be close to 5 assists if we had competent finishing this season.

Yep. It's probably our top scorer that's the problem.

They're both fine, calm down.
Eh I am talking about how lack of fluidity up front for us. You can be a top scorer and still make a bit part of negative contribution to overall attack.

Why did you think SAF eventually get rid of probably the best finisher that ever played for united?

Baby elephant in the room isn't Pogba, it's Ibra.

The chances he's missing are killing us (including a number in the last 2 games set up by Pogba).

Better finishing and everyone's talking about Pogba's assists.

Ibra didn't cost £90m ...

Serie A syndrome and it seems like he does fancy himself a dribble. Move the ball lad!

I may be clutching at straws but I think with a bit more luck he'd be looking much better right now.

Hit the bar against Watford, if that goes it we take the lead and he's just scored a wonder goal.

Hit's the bar in the last minute vs Stoke, if that goes in he's scored a Fergie time winner and is the hero

Zlatan fluffs his header from an amazing cross by Pogba, if Zlatan scores and we win 1-0 Pogba is hailed.

He's been poor so far I know, but I'm going to give him more time before sticking the boot in. The talent is there.

Thought he played out of position. Drop him deeper and let him pull the strings from there.

Still backing the guy, I honestly can't believe people are knocking him after 7 or 8 games. Ridiculous.

I can't help thinking some people on here have the club they deserve at the minute.

He and Ibra are meant to be our two best players and leaders on the pitch.

So far they've been anonymous when it's mattered.

Ibra needs to be dropped - Rashford centrally offers far more of a threat. He's simply wasted out wide.

Ibra can be a powerful weapon off the bench.

Have we established who the Cafe expert on Pogba is yet? If so, please can that person explain to me what Pogba's actual position is.

Because when he plays no 6, people say he's suited as an 8
When he plays 8, people say he best suited at 10
When he plays 10, people say he best suited deeper.

And now Im utterly confused.

If we signed Bebe for £100m, it shouldn't mean you can criticise him for not scoring.
But you can criticise Ed Woodward.

Juventus conned us. They sold us a £45m player for £100m.
Pobga isn't performing like a £45m player either.

Ibra didn't cost £90m ...

Ignore price tag and focus on the person missing chances, not the one who has often been setting them up.

Pogba may be the bigger price tag but Ibra is the bigger name, and I've no doubt a lesser name would've been dropped by now.

I hope they both come good obviously but Ibra more of a concern for me than Pogba last few games.

Conversely, you need somebody to stick it in the net (as a lot of modern teams forget), and he's the best we've got at it.

Didn't actually think that supposed elephant, or the room for that matter, existed before today but I can smell it now too

Ibrahimovic's header was a difficult one. Should we really expect him to score from that?

Taking the last couple of matches into consideration it's fair play, though.

The excuses about position ran out a while ago. It's very simple. He's just playing poorly.

Very disappointed with Pogba tonight , these are the games we bought him for , to make the difference against the top sides , thought he looked completely out of sorts , was hoping playing at number 10 would bring the best out of him , but he offered nothing was no support to Zlatan at all, he was poor on the ball and lacked imagination and drive . His worst game so far , we have to find his best position quickly or he ( and we ) will fail .

Can anyone tell me the latest on mkhitayan I thought Mourinho had said he was fit yet he didn't even make the bench ?

Still, what is his best position?

PS: I dont mind if its that he's just out of form, I can deal with that. But according to everyone else, there was always another excuse.
