Dead in the water?
Just assuming mate. I just think we would have had him by now if Juve wanted to sell and we wanted to buy. This rumour has been on-going too long now
Dead in the water?
Deal with what? There is no jealousy from Chelseas point, were not Liverpool or Arsenal who are struggling in areas that United are signing in or even in competition with United in any way shape or form, its just because you are signing players and becoming a bit insufferable despite the fact you are as unbalanced as a vertigo sufferer standing at the top of the Burj Khalifa.
Vidal and Benatia and you could go as muppet and insufferable as you liked, because they would make you such a force
You're not wrong, Costa has a better all round game but Falcao's finishing is better. He was never the quickest anyway.
I wonder if a tattoo coupon would swing it for us?
Looking like knee surgery, and a long layoff.Seen a few of these now, where's RVP gone?
-----------De Gea
Rafael----Jones---Rojo---Shaw
----------Carrick(Blind/Vidal)
Herrera(Januzaj)--------Di Maria
---------Rooney(Mata)
-----RVP---------Falcao
For me Costa proved the past 18-20 months that he has more to his game than just goals. I follow Atletico and thought last year that Costa surpassed Falcao's form at Atletico. Delivered in the CL too, and now doing the same in England.Falcao all around game is way better, just look the Europa league final against Bilbao.
The only concern is, how is he physically ?
I am not sure you and others grasp that you can only sign who is available at any one time. You can't just pick who you want and snap them up without question. Just because a player has moved elsewhere (Benatia) doesn't mean United could have got him. We have, however, bought two undoubtedly world class players who have chosen United ahead of others. There will be more to come. It I long term plan that LVG has and he is getting the best players he can at any one time. This is not football manager.
My thinking was along the lines....
Blind (defensive)
Di Maria (attacking)
Herrera (bit of both)
As a midfield 3 i think they offer a nice mix/balance!
I saw Vidal challenging (displacing) Herrera in that formation. But would you argue that Vidal would be more in competition (again no competition really) with Blind for the defensive role?
But which ever way you look at it! if Vidal arrives then it would be like signing a new player to play ahead of a new player. But if united have the money then i'm not against the idea as such.

Falcao is very doubtable world class post injury. Buying Falcao is not a long term plan, however that point may be mute as he may only be a backup for a season if RVP goes for an op
So you have decided Falcao is no longer world class aged only 28 (coming into his peak) from watching him for a couple of games post injury on BT sport which you probably only as you have broadband with them anyway.
Get out.
Oh and the deal will be permanent unless he is knackered as there is an option to buy.
What on earth does this have to do with anything?

Absolutely not, ask Madrid fans they will tell you Costa has a lot more than Falcao, especially now. Again people are using examples of Falcao from years ago.
He's more than capable of playing the middle. He is probably the best passer in the squad and he works hard defensively. All these proposed formations with Di Maria as a CM and no width at all are embarrassing.. It's obvious he's a winger for us.
Falcao does not = Costa, Costa is ahead right now. I dont actually think many of you realise how Falcao has declined since his move from Atletico, I have BT sport so saw a lot of Monaco, he wasnt selected for the world cup due to the fitness concerns either. He has lost that yard of pace that made him so deadly.
The doctors were concerned that because he just had surgery, he might be without the required physical conditions. In that period he couldn't run as he used to or kick a ball.
Reckon, that paying for Tattoo Removable would get this Vidal deal licked instead Rams.
Given, its probably those 3 friggin stars he's on his neck (representing Serie A title wins with Juve) thats reminding Vidal of his love-in with the club & given him the guilts about askin for a move to us..
We could give him a scarf for now (so he doesnt have to look at them) & get them stars off at 11.01pm tonight!

They must really have amazing doctors, right?Yes, he wasn't considered for the World Cup because he was in a cast in hospital. Seems fairly rational of Columbia really.

I find it telling that @ItsEssexRob is spending his deadline day on United forums telling them that Falcao is past his best rather than enjoying it with fellow Chelsea fans about there new Abramovic signing...
Stop this jealousy and argue rationally. Falcao is 100% better than Costa. Falcao hasn't been able to hit the headlines as much because of his injury & because the quality of Monaco isn't up to scratch in the grand scheme of things.
The same Falcao tore your defence apart in the supercup not too long ago. He got a first half hatrick - I doubt any striker has ever done that level of damage to your defence in the Roman era.
Falcao is heads & shoulders above any centre forward in Europe. If LVG can play him to his strength with intelligent players like Di Maria & Mata supplying him with quality passes, I see him getting 20-25 goals this season & he will get us back into Europe.
Falcao is the best striker in the world. I didn't even want us to get him so don't take that as me being biased but he is the best in the business.
Its cringeworthy seeing how desperate rival fans are getting on here, i'd love it if the mods just banned them all to be honest.
We did our signings early on. Deadline dfay
It shows that soe of you are desperate for rivals to be 'jealous' of these signings, but as I said for Chelsea that wouldnt be the case. For Arsenal and Liverpool it might well be.
This part is where you are wrong. This is NOT the same Falcao that did that. That was over two years ago. Is this the same RVP that tore us apart at the Bridge when Arsenal won 3-5? Falcao is currently not better than Costa overall.

I had to double check if this was the Vidal or Falcao thread!

So what are you saying (as I will hold you to this)
Falcao will flop at United?
so what the flock is the latest? Mate of mine who sitting at home watching SSN says weve pulled out over a 5 million difference. He says we offered 30m and Juve want 35m. Ive no idea what to be thinking anymore.
It's a problem because our CM issues are that bad we're sacrificing one of the most dangerous wingers in the world to sort it out. It's not like we're Real and we have Bale/Ronaldo on the wings that justifies it, we have Young/Valencia. I fully expect him to be used as a winger after the break, if not then it was a waste of money. Why?
And if you watched Real last year, then you know that Di Maria plays the role like a CM/winger hybrid and gives your team width, he can also easily bomb forward if we have Shaw back behind him. On the other side we have Rafael, who is more attacking and can give us the width on the right side. Don't think it's a problem at all.
Nope I dont think he will flop. What I find a bit insufferable is people suddenly saying 'we have the best attack in the EPL' because that is rubbish.
I think he will score a lot of goals, but I dont think he is world class anymore from what i've seen the last year and post injury.
Right so you are arguing that he isn't world class but on the other hand you are saying he will score lots of goals in the PL for United who are struggling for goals currently?
You confuse me! In that case it is good business for United.
