Me neither. After spending £150m+ we just can't be quibbling over £5m on the signing that matters most.

I just don't know.

He thinks its dead, I personally think this wont be over until after 11pm tonight. If we are really moaning over a 5mil difference we're effin batshit cray cray crazy especially given the love in for em from LVG with his name dropping etc!!!!!

Just get it done WOODY

I never said a loan deal wasnt good business, I said 50 million+ wasnt good business. I actually said earlier that seemed like a very good deal.

Like I said what I found annoying was the insufferable comments suddenly about having the best attack in the EPL.

I think we have the most big name strikers. That doesn't translate into the best attack.

It's a problem because our CM issues are that bad we're sacrificing one of the most dangerous wingers in the world to sort it out. It's not like we're Real and we have Bale/Ronaldo on the wings that justifies it, we have Young/Valencia. I fully expect him to be used as a winger after the break, if not then it was a waste of money.
But he's also extremely good in CM and better than anything we have. Unless we play him as a CB he's improving the team. I think he has good winger traits, but if you had two Di Maria's, at this moment you'd pop one in each position.

Right well we can all agree Falcao will score goals here. If he does score goals and the deal is made permanent (which it looks like the option is there) then will United mind paying the money? I guess not. He will make so much revenue for the club I am pretty sure he will pay for himself. At 28 years old you could get a good 4 years from him which to me doesn't look bad business.

In relation to the forwards you have to say Di Maria, Mata, Rooney, van Persie, Falcao looks very tasty, especially when you consider LvG is still sorting out his system.

I think he will score a lot of goals, but I dont think he is world class anymore from what i've seen the last year and post injury.

The last year, during whihc he joined a new played for 3 or 4 months, scoring over a goal every two matches and then got... injured?

And as for "post injury"... he's played like 2 or 3 matches after half a year out (and still scored a couple of goals!).

If you're climaing that right now, as of today, the recovering Falcao is probably not up with Costa, then fine, I'll agree. But there's absoultely nothing to suggest that he's suffered any longer-term decline.

You can hope that he's one of these "never the same player after the injury" guys, and that could happen, but that's all it is - your hope.

Thank you.

On paper a RVP of 2 years ago a Rooney of 4 years ago and a Falcao of 2 seasons ago would destroy everything and probably be the best in Europe.

In reality right now Hazard Oscar and Costa and Aguero Negredo and Dzecko are ahead still.

Vidal was the signing that had me worried about United getting despite the knee.

It makes you wonder, if we can wrap up deals for Di Maria and falcao, what the hell were juve asking for in return for Vidal that made it so unacceptable for us?

Why the RvP of two years ago might I ask? And the Rooney of 4 years ago?

Are you saying these players have been rubbish for that long?

The last time they played genuinely world class. Rooney maybe 3 seasons but certainly not the past 2 seasons.

Deal with what? There is no jealousy from Chelseas point, were not Liverpool or Arsenal who are struggling in areas that United are signing in or even in competition with United in any way shape or form, its just because you are signing players and becoming a bit insufferable despite the fact you are as unbalanced as a vertigo sufferer standing at the top of the Burj Khalifa.

Vidal and Benatia and you could go as muppet and insufferable as you liked, because they would make you such a force
You really talk some serious shite here on a regular basis, please think a bit more before posting so we don't have to read all that rubbish all the time!

There's clearly some jealousy in your posts - you're sat in the Vidal thread on a Manchester United forum ranting about us signing Falcao on a year long loan. Think about that for a moment.

And regarding us 'becoming a bit insufferable', again, you're on a Man Utd forum, on deadline day, during our most exciting window in decades...

We're building a new squad and we've decided that Di Maria, Falcao, Herrera, Blind, Shaw, Rojo & possibly one more are going to be a part of our future and we're excited by that - wouldn't you be after the season we just had?

But I think we're all still very realistic about our goals this season, we just want to reclaim our place in the top 4.

Why does any of this even bother you? As your manager stated repeatedly during his 'little horse' speeches - this season you will be expected to win the league, and rightly so.

You've gotten off to a great start and are favourites to win the league, anything less than that from you will be a bitter, bitter disappointment.

For us, well, we're the 'little horses' now, we're not concerned with winning the league, that's your concern for now. Our goal is simply to get back into the top 4, and we've decided to bring Falcao, Di Maria and few others along with us.

Insufferable? Us? Never! See you on October 26th ;)

No quality out wide and it doesn't matter who we have down the middle, proven in the past few games that team just flood the middle against us because we can't create anything anywhere else. We have more than enough creativity in the centre with Mata/Herrera.

It's Juve. No wonder we wouldn't loan/sell Chich to them.

I guarantee you honestly and humbly there is ZERO jealousy. Jealousy would be if you signed a player we were after in a position we needed. Hence why Arsenal Liverpool or even City might be bothered. Also I did actually say the LOAN deal was actually good business. One thing I hate in football is people rating 'players on paper' and really it was the thread that incdicated United had the best attack in the EPL that I took issue with.

Okay so in the past 2 seasons...

van Persie has scored 38 goals in 59 games for United.

Rooney, during the same period has played 77 games, scored 36 and assisted 37.

Falcao in the same period has played 62 games and scored 47 goals.

If these guys are past their best then I personally don't care!

Your opinion is welcome ,although most people will see it as a case of a Chelsea fan with sour grapes. Perhaps what you say is true, on the other hand maybe he was playing within himself because he knew the Monaco deal was all about money and wasn't very motivated? He always knew a bigger team would come in for him after a year.

Either way if the fee is only 12 m and he's not world class then we have a capable player for a year and opt not to sign him full time. If he's still ace then that's good too. For once this seems like good business from Man United after years of terrible deals.
Off topic but how the hell do you get promoted with less than 159 posts?

Interesting, that's exactly what an insanely jealous person would say.

RVP has a world class season with United but the 12/13 season was 2 years ago.

Why would Chelsea have any reason at all to be jealous of us or our business? The thought is mental.

To be honest we're not really creating from the middle. We're hoofing it. It's not like we're playing it on the ground around them and are just being crowded out. It's entirely possible that Dimaria is put out wide and relied upon as the sole outlet of all attacks. They simply just fill the box with tall players and we're back to Norwich.

It's really not about where we put Di Maria, it's everything else.

Why must every objective post from a rival to a signing automatically be sour grapes or jealousy? It could actually be a valid opinion? How many people said Costa would flop for us and that he may not be much good? Its not sour grapes its a valid point. If anything I am pleased United got him over City or Arsenal.

so what the flock is the latest? Mate of mine who sitting at home watching SSN says weve pulled out over a 5 million difference. He says we offered 30m and Juve want 35m. Ive no idea what to be thinking anymore.

feck it just buy em for the sake of it. We can pt his broken knee into a glass case and make money of day trips to come see it

Your mate must be on the brown acid. Thats never been mentioned on SSN..

He probably read it wrong on one of these links: http://www.newsnow.co.uk/h/Sport/Football/Premier+League/Manchester+United/Transfer+News

Just shows how far we've fallen! ;)

But yeah, agreed.

Exactly, but people are determined to say any objective view is jealousy, we have a complete team and are 7 points ahead of United.

I think you're right. The loan deal is excellent business. It's not often you get to sign big players on loan to try them out for a year. Once a year has passed, then we can think about stumping the fee, it's only bad business if he turns out to be stupidly good for United, in which case, it's not really bad business is it?
