Indeed. Nobody even blinked an eye when he posted that photo of him with his arms around his team-mates on the Juve bus. Apparently that was because a slight sadness behind the eyes meant it was still "Artur-on"
And yet everyone went mad saying how lonely and sad he is, desperately wanting a move away from Juve, when they saw a picture of him sat on a ball by himself.

Never wanted him anyway, very, very average.

Well, this is upsetting. I guess is thread should probably be locked now so we can move our muppetry to the Carvalho thread. Wanted to hold out hope until the end but he ain't going anywhere after that tweet, no chance.

That tweet is nothing more than showing his excitement for the first game of the season. Transfer wise, I don't see how it means anything more than feck all.

Taylor has killed that too.

So while the deal isn't on, it's also not off?
I reckon we were interested in mid-july but pulled out because of his knee. The media has picked up on the delirium from United fans about the possibility of it, so they have spewed bullshit saying we are leaving it late, going in for the 5th time etc...but it's been a no-go for a while.

THREAD UNLOCKED? ARTURON!

Quick generate as much hype as possible before deadline day.

Obviously LVG likes and wants Vidal, otherwise why name drop him.

It seems this issue with his fitness and knee have cause a few problems which is understandable given the issues we had with Hargreaves. With Hernandez looking to be moved on and Juve interested though I would be very surprised if something doesn't materialise IF we are satisfied with his knee.

These things can happen very quickly.

I think the rumours will resurface if his knee is ok after the match tomorrow.

Also he said in the press conference that Woodward makes the decision on transfer finances. LvG chooses his targets and also in terms of players leaving he advises who would be better to leave however Woodward is responsible for negotiations.

I would imagine we have some kind of finance team that values players based on risk assessment?

Dear god I hope we sign him just so we stay away from Blind.

I think we have Blind for £14m.

Maybe he can play LWB instead of Young or CM instead of Fletcher or TC23, so be a specialist bench warmer.

Whats the point of paying £14 million for a left sided defender when we have Shaw & James LWB and Rojo & Blackett LCB? He's too small for CB and will not be good enough at CDM/CM. I dunno where people are getting these crazy ideas that he'll be good in a holding midfield role, would we not be better off putting an extra £10 million towards Carvalho? Sky high potential and can be our Makelele.

These crazy ideas come from being Dutch player of the year playing in that position for the whole season.

Just like when we signed Rojo, some branded him a left back because they saw him play there for the World Cup. Neither are left backs any more.

24m for Carvalho? i think that is just media bollocks. Didnt Arsenal had a bid rejected a few weeks ago in that region? I think Sporting want more than that for him

Open for business again. As you see, a tremendous amount of Vidal news has developed since the thread was closed.

I love when people who know absolutely nothing about a player talk as if they know everything about a player. You should be ashamed of yourself.

I thought this thread was locked off last night. Has Vidal Tweeted something else, FFS?

FFS why? Both clubs and player have denied this is happening. In the words of an animated disney princess...let it go! Let it goooO!

Maybe the mods just decided there was no more reason for it to be locked than any of the other transfer threads on players we probably won't sign.

I think the mods are secretly amused with the goings on at Fraggle Rock.
