I hope to feck he plays well and scores a hatrick today with an assist or two! Seeing Fletcher again makes my eyes water. Hopefully Hernandez and cash does the trick on deadline day.

Doesn't mean we will get him. They would want time to replace him. Wont let him go.

I think we will go for him if he gets through this game. Will need to be a huge bid though but could see it happening, Louis has obviously got Woody working on some deals with the 'it's not down to me' line.

Look at how advanced Juve's wingbacks are compared to ours.

Not every team replaces players from elsewhere you know! They have plenty of options there Pirlo, Pogba and Marchisio can step up as well. We give them enough money, I bet they would consider it at the very least.

You would never think Vidal has had surgery on his knee and only just returned. This guy is a hard nut who just gets on with it, our players twist there ankle and go crying to mummy!!(joking)

Vidal is running the show. I thought he had only one leg from what people were saying.

Vidal with one leg is still better than any other box to box midfielder around.

They'd get Guarin if they wanted him. But it's still to late for us, regardless. Vidal should have been signed. They should have least of had an offer accepted and then a medical done on the knee. But no.

Yeah but look how comfy their CBs are by themselves compared to ours.

That's the issue. They have good CBs. Even when we get Shaw and Rafael back, our defenders still won't be that comfortable on the ball. The problems will still be there defensively.

Is he better then our vice captain though?

Vidal is doing ok so far in the first half. Clearly not fully fit but the slow tempo of the game is helping him. Pogba is the one whos impressing me more so far against Chievo

Just give Juventus £50m, compensate them for our incompetence not getting the deal done early and not giving Juventus enough to buy a replacement.

Commentator just incited muppets all over the world saying Vidal looks OK and there's still time to bid for him for interested clubs.

I guess the last hope for this is that it was a case of "right, let's wait and see him actually play a competitive game - if he looks fine, we'll go in heavy on Monday".

In the very unlikely event that this is the case, then at least he's doing his part today.

--------Herrera-------Vidal------- Di Maria-------

Januzaj ------------------------------------- Mata

-------------------------Rooney------------------------

Would be magical. Although im sure im going to hear "Mata can't play wide"

edit :

Vidal Herrera

Januzaj Mata Di Maria

Rooney

Vidal looks fine thus far. He's been mobile and aggressive and doesn't seem to be shirking his old ways. Haven't seen him go to ground yet, but that's because he hasn't had to, I think.

Well yeah, that's part of the issue but it's a different point so I'm not sure what you're getting at.

The inability of Young and Valencia to offer a good source of width does not get excused because we don't have great centre backs. Their role in a 3-5-2 is to provide width offensively just as much as it is to help out defensively.

Currently our wingbacks are not offering enough of a threat out wide so everything becomes congested in the middle, the opposition fullbacks can tuck inside which makes it extremely difficult for Mata/Rooney/RVP to find any space.

He'll be only just fit by then and it will be another Vidal situation

Or Roma might actually be competing for trophies and their benefit in keeping him is bigger than the money they could bring in selling him in January.

Forget about Strootman, he isn't moving mid-season.

Watching Serie A after the PL, it's amazing how much slower the game is there. Half of it is walking pace before fleeting bursts of life.

If Vidal does come, by some miracle, I think he'll be in for a shock at the difference in speed between the leagues. Not that he wouldn't cope with it, just that there would be no more strolling about for periods of play.

He just came off at the 86 minute mark. Let's see if anything happens between now and Monday.
