I'd pull my cock off if we got him as well but there's this niggling feeling in the back of my brain: What happens if we're still shit?

That niggling feeling of yours runs down my spine too. It just feels like some idiotic witches had cursed United after SAF left.

This news comes from Carlo Laudisa who is the most reliable Journalist at Gazetta Dello Sport.

We need to do a deal like TODAY so they have 4 days to sign someone. If we have decided to go for him, there is no point waiting even another minute.

If anyone can manage that, it'd be us.

With our current backline, we could easily manage it.

Omg. Hahaha. The Moyes effect. I know it doesn't seem like it chaps, but we will be back. Right now everyone is loving this. It likely won't be a glorious season but we will rediscover our mojo over the next 9 months. Hopefully we'll make the top four. If not next season definitely. Players like Vidal and Di Maria are winners. LVG is a winner. We'll be fine. Patience grasshoppers.

Get him and Blind in. Van Gaal is waiting on Carrick but I don't think we can afford to wait for him to regain fitness and then form. If we don't sign Blind, we sign Strootman in the next two windows.

I just have a feeling about Vidal. He has to move on.

I'm in this boat. The likes of Rooney, Mata, Di Maria and Januzaj aren't going anywhere, irrespective of a Champions League place or not. Their wages are exceptional. Rightfully or wrongly, we can and will buy ourselves out of the mire. We need some stability again and a summer whereby the manager is settled and can tinker with the squad how he sees fit with plenty of planning in advance. I'm hoping for a good season, big improvement and obviously a top four spot and I think we'll get that.

Agree. At the moment there is apparently no light and no end to tunnel but that is never true. LvG is a proven coach, a winner and he will set things right. If we get Vidal, the front 6 will be real quality and once they start ticking together we will start going on winning runs.

Does anyone know if Vidal has played in a pre season game for Juve?

If he's still nursing an injured knee then we should look elsewhere....

There is a huge flaw in these reports because, as far as I'm aware, it's illegal to begin discussing personal details with a player before a fee has been accepted by a club. Maybe we are interested, but the whole thing about agreeing wages and everything before actually bidding for the player is bs imo.

These days "informal" agreements are always reached with the player and his entourage before a fee is agreed with a club.

Would be surprised if that isn't how every deal is done.

In this day and age, it's not as if you make a bid only to find out the player isn't at all interested.

Looking very promising guys, Juve fans are worried now.

Today's La Stampa also reports that the agent was in England yesterday, reasons for alarm, La Stampa says United is ready to make a bid!

How can a personal deal be agreed before Juventus giving their consent ? Is that not taping up ?

You agree with the contract details with the agent. Then you put in the formal bid. Basically "tapping up", yes.

Still though, I have a hard time believing we'll sign Vidal after signing Di Maria. I suppose one of the Glazer kids could have gone full muppet. Let's hope so!

What do these say, mate?
#GdS: Yesterday, Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich was in Manchester, while the player exited Juve's training ground avoiding the fans.

#GdS: There are talks that Vidal has already agreed a 5-year contract with Manchester which will see him earn 8m euros/year.

#GdS: As time passes by it will be difficult for Vidal to leave as Juve have less time to find a replacement but eyes are on Guarin.
