Personally I think it would be fine if we send Chicha and Fellaini to Juventus plus 60m for Vidal. If he can recover to his usual form then hes worth it, risky but worth it.
If rumours are true that LvG is getting rid of 7 players, Fellaini included, then he'll want to either bring in a CM or promote someone form the youth ranks as cover for Fletcher/Carrick but who is good enough in the reserves/youth squad now to promote up to the 1st team? Personally, I feel this one does need to be brought in via a transfer from another club and it will either be Vidal, Strootman (Jan) or Guarin. The latter has been left out of their Europa league squad so we could even get him for a very good price.
Throw in Nani and Anderson then happy days!

The main thing why I believe he's signing for us from the beginning on is that Conte left the club, I don't buy that he left for being the national coach of Italy, I think he may become the national coach but I don't think it was a major point in him leaving. If it were it would have been announced by now, not? I think the Juve board made it clear to him that they want to cash in on Vidal this summer, because they think that the squad is good enough for another Serie A title, even without Vidal. Which may very well be true, but in all fairness, shows very little ambition for greater things, like the Champions League.
The other thing is that Van Gaal himself said that he first wants to evaluate the squad on the tour and only after they are back he will make decisions on who we'll sign. It should be clear after the tour that we need a CM.
Other things that point in the 'right' direction are the Pogba interview, the fact that LVG clearly likes Vidal and media reports, also the logically explaination that we want to make sure that Vidal has no bigger issues regarding his knee.
Why there's no big smoke in the UK media, I don't know. I suppose they have been briefed to stay quiet if they want to receive more information.

I'd be highly surprised if we're done, highly surprised. However, that's not to say I believe we're going to sign any world class players.

If there were real evidence there wouldn't be that much "dead in the water" and "close thread" posts.
Its speculation and almost definitely bullshit however I would not have a problem with the deal if he were to return to his best. We have no use for Fellaini, Chicha is better off going to another team so the main loss would be money and I couldnt care less about the Glazers spending cash.
Vidal is most definitely worth Hernandez, Fellaini and 60m to us at least, to any other club they just would not offer that since most clubs in world football have options in the middle.
Nobody has a clue what’s going on, we are keeping everything in house at the moment that only a tiny few have the privilege of knowing what’s happening. From a fans point of view it’s horrible, from the Clubs its showing that they are running things properly again. I know which I prefer, when you compare this summer to lasts then I’m sure the majority prefer that the Club are keeping everything in house, even if it is frustrating.

Every day is like a roller-coaster in here, one minute it’s on, the next it’s off, one things for sure though, the BIG difference between this year and last is the manager has a clear Vision, and he’s implementing it.
