Is Vidal in Australia? That would make it physically impossible for him to sign for us tomorrow.Australia's a 24hr flight. When are Juve back does anyone know?

There's a thread on the sanctuary that is literally Elton John lyrics.

I hope Woody don't login on redcafe in the morning and see "tomorrow" posts and without checking the date say to himself: "Oh well i wanted to sign him today but if they want him tomorrow so be it.".

We should really start posting "today" after your midnight to prevent this from happening.

''United and Juve agree a fee. Vidal will fly for a medical and it will be completed in the next few days''

Tomorrow.

Australia has the internet though right, so not exactly impossible...
Alright but he won't sign tomorrow. There might be an outbreak of reliable news like the Herrera transfer but he obviously can't complete a medical and sign. And as far as I know we never announce a transfer before the medical.

I thought you were joking with the 24hr flight thing but obviously not...

If a reliable source announces we've agreed a deal tomorrow will it still not be done to you until he's physically in Manchester with Woody and a pen?

It's interesting that he would sign a United jersey and not a City one. Then again, why would any City fan want his signature on their jersey anyway? :wenger:

I doubt he recognised it to be fair
Eh. I doubt he would recognise a City jersey and not a United one. The optimist in me is saying that he didn't want to upset us United fans by signing the City one. The realist in me says the picture is probably about 2 years old (the United jersey is the 11/12 one) and the part about him not signing the City jersey is made up.

I'm going to give the club the benefit of the doubt on this one. If this was simply a case of meeting Juventus valuation, I do believe this deal would've been done a while ago. History shows were not ones to dally over the fee of players we really want. We pay over the odds for players all the time as evidenced by Shaw, Fellaini, Berbatov amongst others.

My theory is Juventus have placed a big fee that we're willing to pay, but have also asked for players like Nani and Hernandez as well which we aren't willing to do.And that is probably the sticking point and why things aren't moving.

Seriously? History shows we absolutely dally over fees for top targets.

Mid- priced players, however, we consistently pay the price for.

i can see us absolutely spunking the lot in the last week, vidal a CB and a very very slim chance at either courdrado or di maria for banter.

Happy Vidal day everyone! Can't we just ask the Aussies to tell us if he has signed? Its already happened there.

Vidal agent now on way to Manchester United to close Vidal deal

On Saturday we brought you claims from Italy that Sunday would be a decisive day in the Arturo Vidal to Manchester United saga. Calciomercato said that Fernando Felicevich was set to travel to London to watch another of his clients, Alexis Sanchez, in the Community Shield at Wembley.

Calciomercato said that in Chile it was thought that Felicevich would travel to South America straight afterwards, not a good sign for the potential transfer... therefore they were very interested in seeing how things would turn out.

Gazzetta dello Sport say on Sunday that it's 'more than likely' Felicevich is on his way to Manchester, after the Community Shield to try and sort out the Vidal transfer. The Italian newspaper explain that these are decisive hours in the transfer and that it's at it's hottest. Hot surely has to be better than cold, right?

There was a social media fuss on Sunday when pictures were circulated of Vidal signing a Manchester United shirt whilst on pre-season tour with Juventus in Australia. Gazzetta have picked that up too and it's being reported widely in Italy, Juventus fans will not be amused.

However, we've been informed by someone who was then when the shirt was signed that Vidal was also signing shirts of other clubs, including Arsenal. So it's not really the signal many Manchester United fans will want it to be.

So, as long as Gazzetta are right and Felicevich is currently heading to Manchester, already there, or been then and sorted it, then things could actually be happening on this one.

There's so much leak happening it's crazy. How are these papers kept informed about Vidal's agent travel plans? And the funny thing is there isn't a slight hint to whats happening in on Uniteds end.
