just to get all your muppet juices flowing. From the newbies:

now this guy also posted pictures of himself running down the main street in Turin with his cock out shouting "I'm free I'm free!" but I'm not that's not an issue.

I take anyone who says my2centz very, very seriously. It's a done deal.

Right, I am eating Chilli and didn't even think that is could mean something until now.

Chilli/Chile ;)

Regarding the newbie thing. He's definitely Italian according to his IP. Says he's from Milan but supports Juve, and the translated quote from that Fender dude says Vidal is definitely Utd bound.

Now, of course, none of this could be real and I could be taking the piss.

Another quote frrom a fan on that site:
Scusate ma non ho capito perchè gli eventuali 60 meloni non andrebbero tutti alla juve?! Bright eyes si prende la mancia?
biggrin.gif

Seems like we're offering 60 melons and they're not all for Juve, maybe he's talking about his lunch

Agent Edward?! It just gets worse. And why is Vidal training today if he's about to join United?

It all stinks of a wet fish and click bait.

As @Brophs pointed out a while back, there has to be a reason that alll the UK hacks most closely associated with the club have been saying we're not interested.

If you're wildly optimistic you might try to convince yourself that this is all part of a haggle over the fee but it's much much more likely that, you know, we're not interested.

He might be on a WUM and that guy a bullshiter...
But feck it my muppets juices are flowing like never before.

Hi Pogue, rational thought and logic is not allowed in the transfer forum.

Please leave, and also die.

Mitten said we are interested and hasnt really stepped down from that.
Apart from that it might be because we are trying to keep things close and stopped briefing the media endlessly. I don't know why the Chilean and Italian reports of us wanting him would exist.

I think this is the reality.

How many times do you need to say you don't think it's happening? We get it. I happen to agree, but seriously, there's a post from you on almost every page of this thread saying it isn't happening. What's the point?

I thought he was giving a press conference anyway, but said he would mention Vidal 100%
Why would you say this if he was just staying? It would literally be announcing a non-news. Not gonna take that as a sign, but weird to announce "I'm holding a press conference tomorrow and in it I will announce that nothing has changed in this particular area."
Well it's not like they just let anyone have a Twitter account.

Been clear for a while now that there's nothing in the Vidal story. Those getting their hopes up are set for disappointment, and will most likely blame Woodward for the 'move' not happening, when any bid would have been LVG's decision anyway. If he chose not to sign Vidal, then Woodward isn't going to go against that.

I'm reminded of last year when Moyes apparently turned down Thiago (as long as you ignore all the journalists since who've said he just preferred Bayern).

A more suspicious mind would say that it's not very likely that we'd turn down all of Thiago, Kroos and Vidal in favour of lesser players. Especially when two of those three CMs happened to sign for clubs more attractive than us shortly afterwards.

You sure about that? Thought some mentioned that Mitten had stopped talking about Vidal.

Are you always so angry? Put me on ignore if I annoy you :)

It's probably Allegri trying to take pressure off his position by dousing the muppet fires before tomorrows conference.

Can a mod check his IP address to verify?

You don't annoy me at all, and I'm not at all angry. I've never put someone on ignore yet and I'm not about to start. I just don't see the point in people posting that they don't think it's happening over and over and over again. You've over 100 posts in this thread, all saying it's not happening. I just don't get why you'd bother. And you're not the only one, just the most recent.

I can't imagine Vidal not being part of United's summer transfer plans at all. With the amount of times the media are running stories on it, you would think United would come out and pour cold water on it. Whenever Vidal or Juventus have said anything, it's sounded cagey, like a move would be possible, but nothing from United. I imagine "United deny move for Vidal" is better publicity than "Vidal rejects United" if we weren't even in for him in the first place.

Well, if you're Vidal's agent and you want to force Juve's hand over a new contract...

It's not as though that's the first time we've been used like that. Seems to happen every fecking summer.

The player himself said good things about United. English media has said we're not interested anymore for a while now and there's still not really anything 'solid' saying that it is happening or that we've put a bid in. In this case it's not about a player preferring another option over us.

Chilean and Italian reporting over this just seems classic case of pushing for a better contract at Juventus.

It's the hope, it's killing me! I want to be wrong I guess :)

Mitten has been as shite as everyone else this window. To prove he had contacts he pointed out that he predicted we were going to play Valencia on Aug 12th. Yeah, nice one.

Yeah, I can't see anything other than a disappointment on this one. I just can't see what benefit there is to briefing a big part of the British media that we're not interested if we are, as we already know that other people involved in this possibly hypothetical deal seem to be talking it up in the media. We can't control the Italians or Vidal's people so we're either banking on no journo in Britain having a good European source, or on Juve somehow buying the idea that we're not really that pushed on him. So I just don't see what the end game is. If our plan was to play down the interest, surely the place to do that is Italy, where the actual price will be set.

Plus pretending we don't want the player if we do, a fact which would be confirmed if we bid a massive amount of money for him weeks later, doesn't exactly seem like a foolproof plan.

This all has the stink of Vidal either leveraging a move elsewhere or getting a new deal at Juve, notwithstanding his recent renewal.
