What will be the next jersey Arturo Vidal, Juventus still that of Juventus , or the red of the Red Devils or Liverpool? The issue relating to its possible sale going on now for a bit 'of time, the refrain is always the same, the Bianconeri continue to express their desire to retain the Warrior, at the same time, however, if it were to get an official proposal of at least 50 million, the tables may change. The agent of the Chilean Fernando Felicevich is taking care of the story, he is the liaison between the clubs interested in the midfielder and Mrs. Vidal meanwhile has almost finished his holidays on Monday, will return to the base to discuss with the company and technician. After the double summit, it is likely that a decision is taken on the matter, yet remain strong contract with Juventus until 2017 or accept the court from the Premier. As emphasizedTuttoSport , Marotta has placed a condition, the whole must be resolved no later than August 2, the eve of the departure of the Bianconeri for the Asian tour, that at that date nothing happens, the Chilean will not move from Turin. The fact Juventus can not afford the luxury of losing an important player in the midfield and then to have little time to look for a worthy replacement. And now we come to the economic proposals, England do know that Manchester United are ready to put on the famous dish of EUR 50 million, in the day yesterday there was talk of an offer of 45 million Liverpool, rumors candidates also Real, Barca and Atletico Madrid in the race to the player. In short, the puzzle Arturo Vidal is not yet complete, is on vacation, niche about his future, he says to feel good in Turin but does not close completely to his eventual departure. Even today the Chilean telenovela sauce ends here. Appointment tomorrow, or maybe in the next few hours, who knows ...

Its on?

From Italy: Vidal to Manchester United not off, offers have been made, more talks ahead

Oh Arturo Vidal. How you give Sport Witness headaches. On Thursday afternoon poor Arturo landed home at Turin airport after his holidays in Chile. He's still technically on holiday but that didn't stop Sky Italia from sending someone to chase him around the airport for comments. The journalist had not been fed for a week and told that the only way food was coming his way was to get some quotes out of the midfielder.

Vidal tried to be polite, perhaps thinking a couple of words would please the microphone holding obsessive, but he was still chased around the place.

The Juventus player was non-committal about his future but soon appeared quotes in Italy saying that he wouldn't be going to Manchester. Lines like "I do not go to Manchester." and "Am I going to Manchester? No." appeared all over Italy, even in Gazzetta dello Sport.

However, that's not what he said. We've seen the video and as he was being chased away Vidal was asked if he was going to Manchester and replied "No, no.., no, no."

If you watch it yourself then it's easy to see that he was saying anything to get rid of his attacker. Gazzetta have the correct version in their newspaper on Friday and they see the interview as meaning nothing, just a continuation of Vidal's non-committal stance regarding a transfer. That's the general feeling from the Italian press, with even Turin's Tuttosport choosing not to make much of it, indeed they see the 'interview' as another suggestion Vidal could be off.

Gazzetta say that any interest from Liverpool has gone quiet, but that's probably because it was an invention of the Daily Mirror, and they claim that offers have been made by Manchester United but not official. How a club could make a unofficial bid is not explained, perhaps Manchester United's bids need to carry sponsorship these days. The offers are also said to be big. Big and unofficial. We're getting bored.

One thing is for sure, and that's Vidal's willingness to milk this. He has had multiple opportunities to say he's staying at Juventus, and won't be leaving under any circumstances, and he hasn't. That's either because he fancies a move or fancies a pay rise, or perhaps a bit of both. Maybe he doesn't even know what he fancies. He's transfer-curious.

Vidal's agent Fernando Felicevich is rather handily set for talks with Juventus 'in the coming days' say Gazzetta. Hopefully this will all be over one or another soon.

The thing about him saying "no no no no" to the persistant reporter could really go either way. He could be saying "leave me alone you freak, i've literally just landed from my holiday", "no i'm not allowed to confirm this yet", "no i'm not going" or "no no no why am i back here again?"

Man, i'm new to all this transfer muppetry, and boy is it exhausting and confusing. One day i look here and it's all deflated with a confusing, broken italian to english translated quote, next he's snubbed us for liverpool (lol!) next it's back on with an expensive deal being offered. HOW DO I STOP MYSELF FOLLOWING THIS?

You don't stop yourself, you can never stop yourself. So don't fight it and just embrace your inner muppet.

The Italian media will not let this die. Honestly there is no benefit of them continuing this story as it would piss off Juve fans. So obviously there has to be something in this.

I think this is similar to the Mata transfer. We denied making a bid, but we had intermediaries acting on our behalf.

FFS get this over with one way or the other already.

I've gone from being 70/80 % confident of signing him to 20% chance. It swings like a pendelum few days.

This is dead and as been for awhile.

It's as alive as it has ever been, which is to say possible but far from certain.

All parties have clearly been sounding each other out, but nothing was ever going to move forwards while he was on holiday (no reason it shouldn't have done, that just seems to be how everybody was happy to play it).

Now he's back, I can't see any benefit to anybody in it dragging on much longer. I'd expect confirmation in the next few days of one of three outcomes: Juve, Utd or Real.

Vidal himself said no in that snippet a few posts up. Is he just not wanting to piss off Juve in case he takes up the option to stay? Or maybe he means it.

Watch the video - there's no way you can interpret it as any kind of genuine and honest denial, he's just trying to fob off an nannoying journo who is chasing him around an airport.

Doesn't mean he's signing for us, but as with pretty much everything we've heard from anybody so far, it doesn't mean anything.

This is the problem these days, everybody takes things as definitive. Vidal mutters the words No No No as he is approached by a journalist for probably the 100th time since the world cup, and suddenly everything is doom and gloom and it was never going to happen in the first place.

Let's just wait and see what happens, I think negotiations are happening behind the scenes and it may well drag on for a while yet. Vidal has only just returned, and hopefully we will soon get a positive result.

Totally agree. Whether he signs or not, or indeed whether we are interested or not I obviously dont know but people need to be patient and signings will undoubtedly follow.

It seems unlikely at this stage that we haven't at least spoken to him or his agent - there seems to be too much talk. Likewise Juventus seem open to selling the player. I suspect the player doesnt know what's happening, where he'll end up or even if a transfer will happen.

If we sign him obviously I'll be pleased. If not I assume the club have other priorities and that's fine as well. The manager needs to be backed and given the benefit of the doubt.

Exactly. If anything that interview is positive in my eyes. Vidal could quite easily have killed that there and then. He could have said "manchester? no there is no contact and I am staying". Instead he just nervously brushes it off, There is no conformation or denial. He is obviously worried about giving the wrong answer incase the move does fall through. How stupid will he look to Juve fans if he admits he's leaving before anything is concrete?.

If those Liverpool rumours are true and he joins them instead of us I'll go livid. I could take him staying where he is but joining that shower of shite that have replaced their star player with a lot of averageness? I wouldnt believe a second he would choose them instead of us.

Same. It's a galling thought. I'd even be more accepting of him choosing Madrid, because who wouldn't? But Liverpool, after they have lost their only world class player, and with a manager who's won nowt, and a team who hasn't won anything of worth since 2005? Yuck.

No fecking chance is he off to Liverpool, that just won't happen. If there is nothing at Utd to bring him to England, what is there gonna be there to attract him. Non story, probably as much as him coming here tbf.

You are the only poster who is claiming that it is DEFINITELY off. All the rest are just cautiously optimistic.
Key word there.

I'm in the definitely off gang now. Gutted to be honest, I want to move my muppet to another target thread, but there isn't one.

This is Sneijder all over again, it will drag until September 1st and then for two more transfer windows before we eventually realise he's not coming here.

I've noticed that the Manchester press pack have scaled back on the Vidal to United stuff recently. That may be because they have been cut out of the loop, the Herrera deal caught them napping, but they have been consistent on our defensive targets (and Andy Mitten concurred with names like Blind and De Vrij in the video he did at United training in LA last week). Van Gaal's comments after the LA Galaxy game about defenders may indicate he's asked the club to focus on finding him a new centre-half, which has pushed Vidal off the agenda.

Van Gaal is a man of supreme self-confidence, maybe he believes his coaching ability is such that he can bring on our current midfielders and doesn't need to buy? Or maybe he feels Vidal is too much of an #8 and not enough of a #6 to play alongside Herrera? Vidal is not another Van Bommel or De Jong. If Van Gaal is looking for someone to fit the 3-5-2 system he has settled on you could see the logic in United passing up a move for Vidal. Not that I think Vidal can't play #6, just that he's not a specialist in that position, in many ways it would be a waste of his talent to buy Vidal just to sit him in front of the back four.

If those Liverpool rumours are true and he joins them instead of us I'll go livid. I could take him staying where he is but joining that shower of shite that have replaced their star player with a lot of averageness? I wouldnt believe a second he would choose them instead of us.

Linking Liverpool with Vidal is obviously agents at work trying to force United's hand. Agents and selling clubs do this all the time: Say X club's arch rival is going for so-and-so and try and force them to make a move to stop their fans getting unhappy. Ander Herrera was even linked with Liverpool this March e.g. link. I doubt Liverpool are in for Vidal, unless their interest in Herrera as Gerrard's long term successor was serious and they now need to explore other options. Even if they are Liverpool's pull has taken a hit as they have lost Suarez. For example, Vidal's Chile team mate, Alexis Sanchez, has already turned them down. I can't see Vidal to Liverpool materialising. Those rumours are just another try at baiting United.

If anyone finds the Vidal interview with Sky Italia can you please post it here. Can't seem to find it myself...

The video, in case you haven't seen.

He's laughing along with him, clearly not very comfortable with it and then when he says about Manchester United he awkwardly says "No, no, no" before becoming a bit awkward and making an effort to get away from the situation. I'm reading A LOT into that as you might well imagine.

The bottom line is that he clearly doesnt know whats happening and where he'll end up. Its difficult for him to say anything becuase the press jump all over it - he can't say he's staying, he can't say he's going, all he can say is that as it stands there's nothing agreed.

Thanks for that first time I've seen it. It's not exactly conclusive, just seems like he wants to get rid of the journalist. It's still on.

You are the one who works at the club in some facility, right? Why u no bring us some inside info?

It wont drag on though will it, because its fair to assume that if the club don't want him they have other targets in mind who they'll pursue. LIkewise if he doesnt want the move.

There'll likely be a resolution to this - either we sign him, or we dont and will sign someone else.

Vidal is coming, according to my sources inside the club. You heard it here first...

Nah I only work in the hospitality department. So I know nothing more than anyone else on here :(
