I'd call this transfer window a massive success if we came out of it having signed just Vidal.

Vidal is arguably the best midfield player in the world right now. Don't get me wrong I'd still be very happy with Strootman but he's not in the same league as Vidal.

Given LVG's comments, it would only make sense for Woodward to make a bid for Vidal if he is available. The problem is convincing Vidal to join.

Vidal is a signing that would really make people question your role as title contenders next year. One of the few players you could sign that would single-handedly worry me. Fortunately, I don't think it's at all likely.

A very sizeable bid (PL record with ease) along with Rooney-style wages may make this happen.
What basis do you have not to be worried? City haven't convincingly won a league championship in 46 years. I don't think you're in a position to be unworried.

I don't think there is one player in world football that we could do with more than Arturo Vidal.
