Television Arrow | Ending on Season 8

Shado :o But yeah, im not sure the aim of the flashbacks. Is it a way to get him back on the island before hes discovered again? It was a whole lot of running without actually anything happening there.
Last season the Flashbacks were excellent as they went hand in hand with the Slade story and what was eventually going to happen with Slade going nuts despite him being Ollies ally for most of the season.

I like Nyssa though. It was an ok episode but it was strange Ollie quickly decided to decline Ra's offer after saving a few cops given a lot of them died before he showed up. If he had the resources, he wouldnt have had to rely upon Felicity (whos became a lame character / the romance factor with Ollie was terrible and ruined her character) to phone Lance

Arrow has been kinda all over the place this season. I still dont understand how Ollie can do the whole "i cant tell you" stuff with his team, and then tell / they find out later. I dont understand what purpose that brings?

The ending hopefully brings a focus to it all. They have four episodes left, hopefully its all out now.

We still don't know who's chasing him and perhaps Shado (or a looklalike) is linked to that? Could the big death they are talking about be just Maseo's son or someone else?

This also has gotten tedious. Specially when it concerns Oliver and Felicity. Same arguments, same discussions, same stuff over and over again.

Laurel and Felicity has been terrible this season, it's almost making me feel like they should just kill off the their character.

Quite a lot happened, but this season does seem a bit forced.

Like Lance all of a sudden hating Arrow just because Laurel didnt tell him the truth about Saras death. (saras death earlier this season seemed forced too just to bring in a raa's al ghul conflict which resulted in an offer, and a forced retaliation because he refused).

I like the Suicide squad though. Always fun and I liked the flashbacks focused on DeadShot but only just read that:

bronze tiger is no more as part of Arrow 2.5 comic. Thats a shame

Glad the Atom/Arrow conflict was really short. Although Atom really only looks like an Iron man copy right now.

The ending was fine, and it being Maseo that shot the mayor(?) was nice. Want to see what happens with him and his family (and son) with the flashbacks, that will be interesting if they dont just have them run the whole episode. Three episodes left but it seems like the end game is for Arrow to clear his name which feels flat compared to last season which was to stop Slade.

Isnt there 6 left?

Oh probably, must have read it wrong. fair enough @Dirty Schwein
Six episodes but the focus of this season has been a little over the place imo

This episode didn't cover anything from Hong Kong. I still have no clue what's happening over there.

And I think the explosion was just a decoy for him to escape.

I want Man Utd Bennett to just clean house, murder 50% of the cast (sorry Roy but sacrifices must be made) and erase all of Season 3. Some of it has been good (Ra's stabbing Oliver then kicking him off a cliff was epic, and the Ray Palmer character out of costume is generally entertaining), but not worth all the other rubbish that's been piling up.

I agree we need moar Deathstroke

And the best part of the Lance family. It was a mistake to do it so soon imo.

I don't really get all the love for Sarah. Shado, Thea, Felicity, and Nyssa are all characters I find more interesting/watchable. Sara is the best part of the Lance family, but that's really not saying much. In terms of unjust deaths, I'd rather have Tommy or Moira back over Sara.

For me Moira served a purpose and Tommy was a consequence which suited a great story.
With Sara, it felt rushed / forced as a way to get the LOA against Thea / Ollie. I think theres more they could have done with Sara. (although I can see the argument for Tommy staying ). But it felt like shock for the sake of shock given all she survived then it was a few arrows from a drugged up teenager lol.

I think Roy was way under developed here. I would have thought that being his actual sidekick who went out with Oliver every night gives him more story to explore, especially when there's no Oliver at the start of the season. It feels like Roy doesn't have that much connection with Oliver, and he's just being a good soldier who does what Oliver said. I feel it should be more than that.

This season has really been a let down. The first two were so good and this season hasnt lived up to expectations. One of the main reasons I think is because of them trying to introduce too many new characters. Hopefully the 4th season isnt the last and they can get their act together.

I liked Sarah. I honestly dont know why they killed her.
I think they killed her mainly to get Laurel that piece of shit into the core storyline, which in my opinion is stupid. It was a balance having Arrow as the vigilante, the detective as a man caught between the law and allowing Arrow to help him and having Laurel as full on justice seeker.

Laurel was always gonna end up the black canary, one way or another.

Just wish they had waited a while for it to happen especially as they were establishing others. Laurel could have still continued her boxing training and such to a point where she became a good figher, then when Sara eventually died (maybe like in a season or two) then Laurel would be able to take over properly not this whole babysit her whilst she fights badguys stuff.

Weakest episode of the season I feel, plot was all over the place.
I actually felt this one makes the season move forward a little. The whole League storyline is really interesting and all, but after
the revelation of Oliver being the next (intended) Ra's al Gul and the League running havoc.
it felt like the story was slowing down a little. The latest episode showed quite some movement forward.

I agree with @Mark_GrumpyLion - I felt it was a good episode (not great) and much better than the last few weeks. The whole Felicity thing is really annoying me.

The Flash is just awesome at the moment whereas season 3 of Arrow has really slowed down. I really hope it can pick itself up and have a strong finish.

Quite a few new elements brought into play which should liven the story a bit. Still didn't learn anything from flashbacks other than about Shado. Hopefully it's all according to plan and they tie it up at the end.

Boring plot ,with even more boring flashbacks and a silly ending . Something as gone wrong with this season so far.

Atleast his fancy suit in the Flash next-episode trailer hopefully suggests that he'll finally become Ra's.

Flashbacks werent great tbh, I agree its taking too long with them (slow paced). As least it wasnt Shado but her sister, however strange that Shado didnt mention her whilst on the island (or maybe did I just cant remember lol)

The stuff in reality though I liked and it progressed the story at least.

I hope we find out really soon (and I dont mean like 3 more eps) what made Maseo turn, what happened to his kid, why he joined Ra's.

Roy turning himself in will be weird since Lance already figured out Roy was Arsenal /Red arrow from a previous episode so I wonder where they take that. Also hope they bring up the fact Roy was rescued by Arrow which was broadcast on the net:

That was an all right episode here is my guess at what happens during the rest of the season.
I wouldn't be surprised if they flashpoint this entire season by getting the flash to time travel and stop the arrow that killed the black canary, seeing as Caity Lotz is already cast in an arrow/flash spin-off

I really hope they dont do that. I think the writer pretty much said it wont happen but obviously can lie, but still, hope it doesnt happen.

Roy saying he is the arrow can mean that the public and police dept can't arrest Oliver despite Lance knowing he is Arrow due to the confession. Roy can easily say that Arrow saved him, left and allowed Roy to take his place or something along those lines.

I haven't been a big fan of this season, but I didn't mind this episode. Was really happy when they introduced Palmer's shrinking nanotech, another step towards seeing the actual Atom. Felt bad for him when Felicity didn't say she loved him, but hopefully it quickly resolves this love triangle and free Palmer to have more interesting sub plots.

Still want to strangle Laurel though, seriously, they'll never fix that character.

That would pretty much nullify quite a few episodes. I think Lotz is just going to play a different character.

The retconning of a whole season of television? As annoyed as I am with this season's quality, I would hate if they did that.
