Television Arrow | Ending on Season 8

My interest died out in this towards the last few episodes. Don't know if I can get back to watching to be honest. Which is a shame because the season started really really well.

I said I was going to stop watching this but decided to watch the first episode of season 4.

Laughed at his parachute arrow when he fell out of the helicopter, gloriously comic book-y

Is it the Arrow equivalent of Shark Repellant Bat Spray?

It peaked at season 2 and I couldn't get through all of season 4 before I gave up.

WW you on about the new season? I finished Season 4 and it was absolutely terrible.

I'm not watching this shit. Last season scarred me. And I stopped downloading/watching after Felicity stood up from the wheelchair. It was a solid episode, with Oliver and his kid, but they had to ruin it with Felicity bullshit.

My favorite fans of the shows are the people who are not comic book fans. A wildly successful comic book today sells 80,000 copies, but 80,000 viewers does not keep any show on the air. None of these shows exist without people who are not fans of the comics." - Marc Guggenheim.

That's from an interview from the showrunner himself.

I didn't even know the comic book hero named Green Arrow existed, before I started watching the show, I don't care much for it being canon. But dear God, the Olicity shit has ruined this show beyond belief.

This season actually gets better a couple of episodes in. Not great but definitely improves on last season.

More pointless flashbacks.Seemed to have got around before going home.

Cautiously optimistic and did enjoy it more overall than Flash this week. Killing badguys (especially when needed) is not a bad thing and adds to the show.
I hope they dont create a love triangle and stay away from that.

The problem I had was the villain. Im assuming its the dark arrow dude rather than T-Dogg v4.
It is kinda weird how we kinda have to act like Flashpoint didnt affect this show.

It has definitely improved on last season. Still wasn't great but Felicity certainly wasn't annoying in this episode.

the moping and moaning and it's all my fault shit is back, yay

edit: however i did quite enjoy that episode. they've managed to not infuriate me two weeks in a row now

Yeah the shit peptalk from the blonde whore and the pussy man makes wonders, Jesus why won't they just feck off.

Only thing keeping me up with this shit is Prometheus at the moment and now Ragman, what a weird choice of a new character.

I quite enjoyed that episode. I do wish they would focus on certain things rather than trying to throw a lot in to it.

I liked that ragmans motives were explained. But I still dont know why the other members of new Team Arrow are wanting to be vigilantes. I hope they have episodes focusing on that, but not for all three in one episode. Maybe one episode each so we get more story.
I didnt like the flashbacks this week, it was basically a mirror of present time. I dont think they needed that along with Diggles story with each part getting like 40 seconds then fading away. Would have been nice to focus on one one week, and then another the following week.
but dark arrow still intrigues me, hopefully this is the end of crying whining Quentin and tbh, Felicity has been fine so far. But they soooo missed a trick this week.

When Curtis was doing that initial training and asked "How does Oliver do this"... I cant believe they didnt have Felcity say "usually shirtless..."

Didn't realise that ragman wasn't Prometheus until reading this thread, did think it was weird why he suddenly unveliled himself

Liking it so far. Although like someone said, given the two worlds are interlinked and that going back in time changes a lot are we really supposed to believe that the only thing different in Arrow is Diggle having a son?

Im still wondering why Legends going back in time doesnt change things... Although they met Diggle Jr... so yeah.

As with Flashpoint, I guess it's to avoid people that only watch Arrow being confused - but i completely agree - it should definitely change things.

Agree with your earlier post too... Curtis aside, we know very little about the other 2 recruits - although I would like to think that it will be covered. Ragman got an introduction... although I wish that there were a bit more to it, rahter than 1-2 scenes, then accepting to join. Oliver find's that he has a reason for attacking people... then a scene later, he decides he will be a good fit.

I like Diggle and Quentin - but yeah, we could do without the crying scenes... and I'm not sure what the point of the Diggle storyline is atm. Felicity has been great as well.

It's back to its basics and it instantly becomes much much better. More action, more intensity, no love drama. This is Arrow at its best. Just need to get rid of "the blame game" that is still polluting this show.

Agreed @kouroux
I dont think they could handle all the metas and magic. Saying that hope constantine makes a few appearances across the shows.

I assume it will link to the flashbacks given the area they are in. It would be nice if they mixed up flashbacks and had some for other characters (eg the new recruits to give more back story) and why they became vigilantes (rather than just saying it).

I do think we will see Felicity back to crying soon once she meets ragman and takes blame for his town blowing up.

They should quit the flashbacks while the going is good. By now it looks like he was off the Island far longer than he was on it.

Yeah, Arrow actually killing people is making this shit more likeable.

Just watched the latest episode. This is much better. I do wish they'd had Church stand up to Prometheus a bit more. I get that they want Prometheus to look like the bigger threat, but I think it'd be more interesting if him and Church looked on equal level as threats to Oliver.

Still, I'm liking what they're doing this series so far.

A Stephen Amell character saying he thinks the hockey mask is cool.
A Cody Rhodes character selling a drug called Stardust.

Arrow, I am seeing what you are doing there.

I really enjoyed that episode and where they are going with it for this season.
It feels like ol' Arrow, less lovey-dovey drama, and more vigilante action fun.

Yeah, decent season so far. Felicity and Thea actually not annoying, even the flashback is not bad. Only downside was Diggle arc, but they connect it to the Oliver's pretty quick. Also Felicity Rory issue is addressed much faster than I thought it would be.

Felt a bit 4th wall breaking that whole "Remember what happens when we keep secrets within the team" angle. Lots of drama that we as the fans do not want to see have spouted from that.

i vowed not to watch this again, but heard it had improved, which was not really hard to do after the utter shit of the last season. Anyway decided on watching the first 3 episodes. The first two were ok, the third was ridiculous...

The bad guy is thrown into a pot of chemicals (never really explains what it is) which turns him into a superhuman that seems essentially immortal. He has super strength, being shot multiple times does not appear to effect him, No weakening or bleed out, yet Oliver can then slice his tendons and he cant move.:wenger::rolleyes:

To be a CW writer.

To be fair it's not the pain of his cut tendons that makes him immobile, it's the fact that you just can't move if your tendons are fecked.
