Television Arrow | Ending on Season 8

I've actually liked this season, but that finale was the worst episode of anything I have seen ever.

A crappy end to a horrible season. The worst part of the whole episode was everyone leaving - then Felicity pops up saying that she's staying. Well, I'm pretty sure that results to a lot of viewers leaving.

Just thought before the season start they were going to make "arrow" the "Green Arrow", "Starling City"> "Star City" and a more light hearted Oliver Queen (which might have happened for 1-2 eps) - which was meant to be giving want the fans wanted. But all we got was more crying, more self blaming, killing off his comic book wife and worst of all, more Felicity.

I planned to stop watching it but keep up with this thread next season to see if it was worth watching - by the looks of things, no one will be watching it anymore.

I stopped watching at around episode 18 this season. Reading the reactions on here and r/arrow, I am glad I did. Hell, r/arrow have started discussing Daredevil instead of that steaming pile of shit.

Garbage, absolute garbage. The sad thing is, things like Olivers speech would have been great, if there wasnt a fecking nuke headed there way. How does hope stop that?

And why the feck did he kill Darkh? Darkh pretty much lost his power, (somehow but still managed to kill that hacker?), was beaten... He really didnt need to be killed (which was meant to be a big moment for Arrow as a character). but feck that, the real hero is Felicity who saves Star City and then whole freaking world, in yet another episode of Felicity and friends.

Then to top it off, characters leave and they troll everybody by having Felicity having the last words "you thought I was leaving? Think again feckers" (she may or may not have said that word for word).

And unlike Flash and LOT (and even Supergirl) which gave us a few cool things to look forward to for the next season, this .... just ended. Great stuff.

That has to be the worst finale I've ever seen.

Oliver Queen's speech was shit, he wouldn't be able to stop a crazy crowd by just yelling "stop". The Crowd wouldn't be influenced by it, they didn't explain how Damien's powers suddenly became useless and I don't get why they didn't think of overwhelming Damien with a crowd before.

Felicity is shit, her mum is shit. The flash back was shit. Everyone is shit. Malcom is the only character who gets to the point and doesn't feck about.

The show is a cringeworthy piece of cack. Will probably get tinned now.

EDIT: Shows/movies need to stop revolving around the end of the world. Its OTT and illogical. Only Flash made sense because there was still a world to live on.

That was special alright
The crazy thing is the way the crowd suddenly grew a pair and decided to attack an army of Ghosts who had assault rifles but decided to even the field by not using them :wenger: It has been a total mess this episode and it epitomizes the entire season.

As others have mentioned, that was absolutely dreadful. So many laughable parts during the episode. DD suddenly losing his powers when a minute earlier he was able to kill someone from far away.

Not using rifles is one thing, but then getting owned by random strangers who wont be trained like them is another thing. I mean come on, make it believable at least. The ghosts give the league of assassins a run for being useless henchmen, and both will probably make stormtroopers laugh at how shit they all are.

Too true. These little things, once added over the course the season, it makes the show appear so silly.

It makes me happy to read that it's still shite. I dropped it about 10 eps ago.

So all it took was a speech from Oliver and a lot of citizens waving their fists in a threatening manner to defeat a very powerful villain like DD. Who needs heroes. Fitting end to a poor season.

This show has gone downhill so quickly. To think, they're doing a perfectly fine job with Flash, yet managing to make a mockery of Arrow.

So glad that's over...

I only started watching Arrow because i read about the crossover aspect with the Flash.
Season 1 was decent and Season very good, for the most part.
3 and 4 was ridiculous to some of worse writing i have ever seen.

They clearly just coped out with Darhk, they introduced someone too power and had no idea how to defeat him. So the writers get a load of people yelling at him, distracting him, causing his power to fail...:lol::rolleyes:

Hopefully, what happened on the flash, causes a massive reset button and also the 5th season is the final season. Either way, i am going to struggle to watch it, and most likely just have it on in the background doing something else like i have done for last season and a half.

What a pile of crap that finale was.

Dark bests Ollie in a fight and weakens him with an arrow then Ollie comes back and just defeats him. I hope this is the end of this damn show.

 I like how you've caught up on Flash and Arrow at the same time.

 I usually watch them in pairs. Love every minute of Flash then start getting butterflies towards the end of the episodes as I know I have to sit through this garbage for 40 minutes

Same, which is why I've finally made the decision to stop

I'm sorry Arrow went so bad. It's all my fault.

On a side note. What sort of a cheesey ass name is "Overwatch"

Its all my fault guys :( If I had not been selfish and let it happen by you guys, it wouldnt have happened. I must take the blame and cry.

God why did I just see all of you blaming yourself so late? Where was I to console you?

It's all my fault.

I get what everyone's doing! They're blaming themselves to mock the shitness of Arrow (Queen always blaming himself, Diggles always blaming himself, etc).

Its everyones fault.

I do the same thing in terms of watching them in pairs (cos of the way they cross over at times). Flash is fun (and gets elements of grim right). Arrow is grim but has lost all its fun. I honestly think since midway through s3 it just went to shit.

I stopped watching after Felicity got off the wheelchair and walked off. The show was getting really bad after Guggenheim took over and, this Season Wendy Mericles has taken it to a different level of bullshitness. This is what happens when a soap writer who panders to his fanbase via his tumbler blog, and a feminist writer who was formerly on Desperate housewives work on a semi-gritty superhero show. feck the both of them.

The show has essentially become Smoak family drama; former comic relief IT girl deals with her relationship problems and family issues, while she fights villains using the help of her ex boyfriend. What the feck is this? Seriously!!! Green Arrow is a side character on his own TV show!*And Donna Smoak is fecking annoying to a point where I want to gouge my eyes out and introduce a screwdriver to both my eardrums.

If you thought Laurel and Thea were annoying that don't have anything on Felicity. feck her. Felicity season 3 was annoying: "No, Ray.. But Oliver!" is one of the worst lines ever uttered by a female character ever. And it's many times annoying this season. Contrast that to Iris on Flash finale, and her talk with Barry, on how she was not available to Barry as a female companion, the difference between the writing of both shows are vast.

I found Laurel just as annoying as Felicity, because her decisions were just as illogical and frustrating. Also writers on Flash are smart to give Iris a minor role in comparison to Felicity, but the actual lines themselves are absolute turd. Like in the Season finale of Flash when Iris stops barry and goes "Wait!!....*pause*.. kick his ass". Its so cringeworhty.

Also, I can digest the Felicity drama more than I could digest the absolute stupidity of having Thea Queen as a ninja after 7 months in Malta. What sort of gas is that.

Thea being able to fight is much better than the drama BS, lets be honest. Pretty much same as Laurel who had limited training but taking down League of assassin guys.

Former WWE wrestler Cody Rhodes will be guest starring in the next season

Hopefully he plays a villain. Who ends up killing Felicity. For good.

One comment I read, Flash wont affect Arrow cos Felicity is stronger than the speedforce, ahah!

Also at 0:40, Felicity pretty much voicing the writers towards the fans tbh.

Yes, and it's all my fault.
Arrow classic!

I enjoyed the first to seasons, apart from that it has been going downhill very fast. They lost the plot, annoying because it had so much potential, still not completely gone, but i can't see the light at the end of the tunnel...
