Television Arrow | Ending on Season 8

I rewatched season 2 last weekend and the difference in quality is bigger than I remembered. Slade was a great villain.

Should i not bother with this? was thinking of watching it.

Beginning of season3 was promising as well. I kinda enjoyed it until the half way point and cliffhanger mid season break. But this show is so frustrating from that point on cos of stupid forced relationships.

"you better be sure before you make an accusation that you and John cant recover from"
Laurel to Oliver. The same guy who put Johns wife and baby in harms way, not that long ago. hehe.

Thing is, I think that episode could have been great (bar the stupidity of not breaking up the idol as said - I mean what was the purpose of keeping it anyway if they werent going to use it themselve for something) - the ending was well done but the impact was taken away.

Was nice of them to bring in Felicity just to cry, pretty much summed her up the last two seasons anyway.

Diggles brother though. Come on, what a terrible character who nobody cares about that had a twist and turn that didnt have any shock factor about it.

Darkh is a good character but they kinda didnt have a clue what to do with him given how powerful he was, so it was a case of take it away, then give it back lol.

edit: Also I wouldnt be surprised if the show does something like having Oliver helped Laurel fake her own death, for some reason which makes no sense, to have a fake funeral, which makes no sense but only Oliver knows (even though why would he carry something to help do that), so that they can get to Darkh, which doesnt make sense.
But given this is Arrow s4, ... well reasons.... because.

I`m really confused, Laurel was one of the shows most hated characters, myself included, now thats she was killed off, everyone is crying and complaining?( Not on here but all over the internet, I thought people would be happy that she was killed of)

Maybe its because everyone else complains so the rest just jump on the bandwagon

In seasons 1 and 2 maybe. She is the Black Canary - she should have eventually been with the Green Arrow, but they choose to kill her off the please the Olicity fans - which has completely ruined the show.

This was my immediate thought too with the way the scene went with her appearing ok, then them being alone & suddenly her having the "seizure".

The aftermath of that would make Oliver Queen a better actor than Stephen Amell.

As soon as they stop with the bullshit love story drama, it instantly gets much much better.

Funny isn't it? One episode without that crying blonde whore and things get nice.

As for Laurel I don't think she's dead by the way, that moment when they are left alone and muted, promise me something and all that shit, she's not dead, just fakin' it like they did with Roy.

I hope she's dead. The danger with a multiple season show, is that the main characters don't die to truly move the story. I personally she was better this season than ever before, she was useful but sometimes a death isn't a bad thing at all.

I agree, hope she's stiff and so will be Felicity soon enough. Diggle could feck off as well to be fair, he's getting annoying now. You just know that he'll be constantly crying now how it's his fault that Laurel is dead, he'll want a revenge on his brother and Oli will do everything to stop him and blame himself for Laurel's death instead.

Then you'll have Cpt Lance blaming himself for her death as well. And, of course, Felicity will feel the guild too because she hasn't been with them and if she was with them, Laurel wouldn't have died, etc. Oh yeah, and Thea. If she killed Malcolm, guess Laurel would have lived as well.

Fun times ahead.

This is some superb enthusiasm. Stop it, you're gonna overdose with optimism
The entire "blaming yourself" has gotten way OTT this season.

 Ffs, the worst thing is when I was reading this, I was imagining it happening with these fecking characters.

Also didnt Vixen destroy the fecking idol? So why the feck did they put it all together, leave it on display (except one piece). Seriously, am I missing something, was this not explained or was it and I just missed it completely? What was the purpose behind it?

I thought the idol was smashed by that supernatural woman? Anyway, I thought this episode was probably the best for a long while. As soon as they got rid of that whining cow felicity and focused more on DD the whole thing felt much improved. Whoever is in that grave, I hope it's not Thea, she is too hot to be killed off.

I think he put the ??? cos of what happened at the end of the last episode, which seemed to pretty much confirm who it was going to be.

But as you said, this is Arrow, so who knows.

Sorry I should have clarified - yeah, what @Sylar said.

Just after posting I realised that it'd be a typical 'twist' for her not to be the one. But yeah, apologies.

No need to apologize, the show producers should apologize for making felicity into one of the worst tv characters of all time

Agreed. The fact that she was great fun before all the 'Olicity' shite took hold ranks her arc very highly in the character destruction stakes.

She cant even cry in a way that makes you sympathetic to her. Whiny judgmental bitch.

Just wanted to quote myself, a couple of weeks ago if you will.

On top of that, Ollie stopping Diggle from kidnapping or killing that whore, flashbacks with Laurel getting the dick a week after her loved one died, I mean what the feck.

I hate this fecking show, I dropped those fecking legends of shit after a couple of episodes, I think I'm gonna pass with this as well, it's gotten pathetic. I can't imagine what the frequency of word 'fault' is in this shite.

Okay, and what about the fecking timeline in this shit? How is Barry back with his speed at the end of the episode if he's just been deprived of it by Zoom?

Decided to see this season through and bin it off. I'll keep an eye on this thread in case it gets good but I'll only be watching the crossover stuff.

Yeah, seems like they added it in at the start then screwed up as time went on (I'm pretty sure the timeline is meant to be the same).

The best part of the show was Felicity starting to blame herself after Diggle was - horrible writing. It's probably my last season of Arrow as well (unless I read some good reviews for next season).

The fact I still watch the Walking Dead speaks volumes about the depths this has sunk to

Seriously? Glad, I've stopped.

I haven't watched the last 6 episodes and I am now thinking of sacking it. I also haven't watched any of Legends of Tomorrow. I may delete them, too. Walking Dead went ages ago.

There was no chance that the shows would be able to keep the timelines matched. Not sure why its such a huge issue. I haven't watched Arrow regularly since midway through last season, but this is a dumb reason to hate a show.

Arrow season 2 remains one of the best seasons of television I've watched

I think I posted in here than I rewatched it the other week and it was ridiculous how much better it was than this shite. It's like a different show.

Thanks for your input, but I can dislike whatever I want. I don't hate the show, I just think it's shite and I watched it for a while, because I read it had gotten better. It was never one of the best seasons on TV for me. For a while it was entertaining. The acting is decent at best, the fight scenes are mediocre, the dialogue and in general the story is absolute shite. There's been enough said about the flashbacks. That's like my opinion. So whatever you may find dumb, is also like your opinion.
