Television Arrow | Ending on Season 8

To be fair it started quite strong, had a dark theme like Gotham but didn't lack the action I felt Gotham did, must admit though I passed the last season by, much the same as I did with all my viewings of the flash series which was a bit disney.

No no, when I was talking about mandrama I meant WWE, maru's done a good job there

However, I have this feeling that this is a bit of a promotional stunt for the show as well. He's yet to move into the real Green Arrow identity, and they did set it up as a Green Arrow appearance. Maybe he'll "fight" in a new suit?

Aye I think he'll have a version of the Green Arrow costume for Summerslam.

That's pretty cool, and a nice way to keep a door open for Constantine to return.
Yes I liked the actor playing Constantine, I think he was really good, just the show was the problem. I think in this day and age, especially with dramas/thrillers/superhero genre, people prefer the overarching story more to the week-by-week plot and this is where the show failed.

Would be great to see him appear in Arrow and hopefully The Flash.

Wasn't there a overarching story in Constantine? something to do with the Rising Darkness?

Yep. Season ended on a lovely little twist as well. Bastards.

EDIT: Although I think each episode placed a lot more emphasis on the 'story of the week' and the overarching plot probably suffered as a result. 'Something to do with the Rising Darkness' probably sums up what a lot of people would call it

It did have one but they barely scratched the surface of it. It needed a lot more attention because the story of the weeks were not gripping enough.

Probably with a full season they could have explored it better. The 'Rising Darkness' stuff was just what Manny kept saying to Constantine in almost every episode and then the ending. I mean with 20 odd episodes they could have explored it better.

Damn right he gets a suit, didnt Oli tell him to get one. TBH, I like it.

I'm not a comic book fan - any idea who he's meant to be?
Diggle is an original character I believe, who's been added to the comic universe snce the TV show. So he's.....Diggle.

Cheers - was reading earlier with linking him being one of the Green Lanterns - so I thought that they were going to make him into one of the lesser known characters.

Correct, he is being linked to Green Lantern, specifically the John Steward version of the character. The notion went that Diggle is not his real surname, but his nickname. The links are speculative at best though.

To answer your question on Constantine: I liked it. Different from Arrow, and the fact that it only got one season is a downer, but it's good watching.

Cheers for that. I've pretty much watched all of the super hero tv shows except it - I enjoy Arrow and Flash and to a lesser extent Agents of Shield (although it got much better) - Gotham is the only one that I didn't really warm myself to.

Stuck on a new TV series too watch so was just wondering if this is worth watching? I like my super hero films but have never seen a super hero TV series. Would I have too watch The Flash along with this or is that a completely different show?

You don't have too watch Arrow too understand Flash although they guest in each others show sometimes. It's not to difficult to understand.

I'd say the flash is slightly better than arrow. Not sure either are worth binge watching.

Both have their good moments
