i'm about to watch the last episode of the second season

why god? why did fox end this show? are they stupid?

Buster, Gob, Tobias and Lucille are in the top ten funniest characters ever
 
Was an incredible show. For me it peaked in about the middle of season 2.

Season 3 wasn't spectacular and the whole "saveourbluths" thing began to grate a little. But it wasn't their fault. Fox were idiots for ending it.

FOX is all about canceling good shows. This, Firefly, the list goes on and on.


Oddly enough, I was just talking about this show today at work. Going to have to watch an episode or two tonight I think.

there are so many jokes a minute i think i miss 30 percent of them, so when i finish watching the third season, i'm planning in watching it all over again
 
I have started watching series one and perhaps because the missus is a bit ho hum about it I'm not really getting in to it as much as I expected.

my wife doesn't like it either, she's a fan of desperate housewifes or modern family :throws up:

Modern Family is brilliantly written and pretty damn funny.

The missus doesn't like girlie stuff much - can't stand Desperate Housewives for e.g. And she loved the funnier bits of Hall Pass but she does make snap judgements on things and she also needs to be engaged quickly. We didn't watch lost until the whole thing was over because we watched 20 mins of the pilot and she decided 'we' didn't like it.
 
modern family has it's moments, but has too many "aaaaw" times for my liking

i watched the first season of lost and decided there was no way that at the end every enigma would be explained, so i decided not to waste time with that

"Mad Men" and "entourage" are the shows for me
 
Lost actually came to a surprisingly decent conclusion really. You knew it would have to be something a bit out there but I didn't feel cheated at the end. Surprisingly.

Not seen Mad Men or Entourage but I have just downloaded a gazillion episodes of Mad Men for future viewing.

I also have, but haven't watched all but a few episodes of The Wire, all of The Shield and The Sopranos (the missus hates gangsta stuff so this will be a hard sell).

Blue Bloods, The Good Wife and to a lesser degree SVU are the missus's favorites at the moment with Game of Thrines and Happy Endings filling in the gaps.

I want Dexter back.

the first and second season of the wire were pretty good

the same with the first four seasons of Oz

i might give Dexter a chance
 
With the exception of the last season which was merely very good Dexter is unbelievably good.
 
You guys definitely need to watch Dexter and Mad Men.

I loved Entourage when it started, mostly because I was a teen and everything they did on the show was iconic for me. The last couple of seasons have been below par to be fair.

Erm, slight understatement.

Dexter is awesome (bar the fifth season, that's a bit crap, right Solius :) )

Mad Men is superbly good, if a bit slow.
 
Yeah, it's kind of hyperbole to praise the Wire nowadays.....but only season 1 and 2....and only "pretty good".

I think it's 9-10 character-based catch-up episodes to fill in the time since the show ended and then the movie to finish it off. They announced this at the New Yorker festival where they were having a cast reunion today so I'm assuming everyone's on board. I would imagine that would at least indicate that whatever idea Mitch Hurwitz has for this is serviceable.

For some reason, Tobias's "Michael if I may take off my pants and pull my analrapist stocking over my head" quote is the one that made me laugh the most.

If I had to criticize 1 thing about Arrested Development, it would be Charlize Theron's appearance. It was one of the worst guest appearances ever.
