Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Started watching Mad Men and it has a feel of Sopranos and Suits combination. Oh and Boardwalk Empire..

Few years ago i saw H2O Just Add Water and loved it. Now i see Mako Mermaids and finished season 1 on Netflix in 2 days. I'm curious as to see what is going to happen now that their new found friendship has changed. The cast in this new TV series are very good actors/ actresses. Not bad for a very young new faced kids. Very hard to swim like Mermaids/mermen. Believe me I've tried my entire childhood life. I wished to swim like a mermaid but never nailed it. lol. Very good job by this cast. Even though this show is meant for a young group of people, I am a 36 year old woman, fascinated by what will happen next. So anxious. When is season 2 coming out? I really want to know what happened.

It gets better and better. A truly unique and beautiful show. Hope you enjoy it!

The West Wing can be a nice watch after that if you're up to it, a lot of good dialogue and some wonderful episodes. Interesting subject matter as well.

My top 3 shows nowadays would probably be: Mad Men, The Wire, The West Wing.

I have finished season 3 and started 4 of The Walking Dead.
The first 2 season have been brilliant but it seems as if the Show died with one of the main protagonists as the end of season 2.
What a Shane (haha).

Does it get better again?

Season 3 is the best for me actually. The second half of season 4 is awful. Season 5 started out great but then became shit again for the rest of the season.

I forgot to add True Detective to the series i have watched. I was considering Justified and Fargo but the scope of just one geographical location has put me off slightly although Deadwood was fantastic. Haven't heard of Get away with murder but is Mad Men recommended?
Justified was good, especially the first few seasons; the setting actually helped the same way it helped S1 of True Detective. Though I may be biased since I grew up in hillbilly country.

Mad Men is must-see viewing, along with some of the HBO greats.

No. It actually becomes worse to the point that I gave up on it (half way in season 4). And well, I survived 4 terrible seasons of Dexter, so I don't give up easy.

Actually, I think that season 4 is by far the worst thing I have ever watched.

Been binge watching The Walking Dead and up to Season 5 and I'm really enjoying it. It might not be the greatest quality television but it's engaging in a way Lost got me addicted.

Just finished Sherlock, thought it was excellent.

Episode 1 of Billions was pretty good as well, looking forward to the second instalment later.

Anyone started watching Billions yet? Good cast, but sounds rather boring.

Watched the first ep of Lucifer. Promising, and quite entertaining but can also see it being cancelled after a season or so which would be a shame.

I just watched the pilot episode of Baskets. It's starring Zac Galafinakis, and is written by him & Louie CK.

I actually laughed a few times, which is more than I can say for most other sitcoms.

Really like the Grinder, more and more, and now it's my highlight of the Tuesday shows, probably of the week as well. A bit silly, but really funny, and Rob Lowe is a joy.

Anyone who liked Garth Marenghi's Darkplace should definitely check out Danger 5, im a few episodes in ansd its great so far, its on UK netflix too

Has anyone finished The Expanse yet? I thought it was pretty good.

I'm gonna watch E10 tonight, I expect this will become much better once you get used to all the different characters/factions. I have thought of ditching this series but I'm glad I stuck with it.

I watched the first season of American Horror Story with the missus. Was watchable enough. I don't feel the urge to carry on with the other seasons though especially if there is a dip in 'quality'. Any opinions?

Only watched up until the mid point of the third second, neither are as good as the first. Second is still pretty watchable though.

Started the first episode, Didn't engage me right away to be honest, seemed pretty boring. Will try it again when i'm in a more relaxed environment.

I persisted longer than Cina did, there's some good and some bad in most of them. I didn't enjoy season 2 that much, season 3 was hit and miss but some of the acting (Lange and Bates mainly) was great, and I gave up halfway through season 4 (Freak Show), just couldn't be bothered. There's usually the same approach which is it's enjoyable at first, then they seem to faff around without knowing where it's going, and then it's wrapped up in a few episodes. It's ok if you have nothing else to watch, and it's much better to watch them in one go rather than on a weekly basis cos you can quite quickly disengage completely (which was the case for me in season 4).

Season 1 was the best.

Yeah that's what I've been told and honestly if Season 1 was the best then I'm not sure I'm that fussed about the others. I felt there was too many ghosts/characters in it at times although I didn't ever find it boring. It's decent midweek binge watching fodder I guess.

Been watching Master of None. It's pretty decent. Because the characters can be so forced and ridiculous sometimes, it does get a little tiresome if you watch a few episodes back to back. In isolation however, I've found most episodes so far quite enjoyable.

The Colin Salmon one just felt like a rip off of Extras with Patrick Stewart.

I've watched season 1, 2 and 4. 4 (Carnival) is easily the best. So so good, much better than the first two imo.

Could I watch them out of sequence if I wanted? I know they share actors but presumably each season is self contained plot wise?

Yh man! Fully self contained. Trust me watch carnival. No ghosts or shit. Think its the highest rate season on rotten tomatoes

Can some one tell me if Mad Dogs (US version or whichever is more recent) is any good ?
