Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

I enjoyed them all, I actually have all 10 of the SG-1 Season Boxsets. Get's a little silly about S06, but is still watchable.
Cheers! Which viewing would you recommend. I am seeing on wiki that at some point two different series being aired simultaneously. Can I finish one and then go to the other or at some point I would have to view them together episode by episode?

Ah, you mean Stargate Atlantis? I didn't watch that until after I'd seen all of SG-1, but I enjoyed Atlantis too. Hell, I even liked SG Universe.

Ash vs Evil Dead. Best thing on TV or any other medium for that matter.

Did anyone see The Jinx? The series about Bobby Durst? That was great!

Yeah I meant Stargate Atlantis. It seems almost all viewing orders recommend seeing it simultaneously with SG-1 after completing seven seasons of SG-1 i.e. from the time Atlantis started airing.

Guess I will start with the movie now. Didn't knew Spader was in the movie.

I liked the movie too, got a limited edition dvd of that, the case folds up into a pyramid (will become obvious why once you watch the film).

To follow up their comparison to the Jinx, I'd say it fares much worse as a piece of film-making but is a similarly bizarre and gripping story with lots of twists and turns. Definitely worth a watch but the Jinx is one of the great documentaries, this one doesn't compare. Its main downfall is it really drags the story out to make it last those 10 episodes.

It is terrifying though. Heartbreaking too. A really damning indictment of police corruption, a dysfunctional justice system and the media's desire to spin a story regardless of truth, as long as it grips viewers (as one particularly gleeful producer put it, "murder is hot").

The original Stargate, Ark of Truth & Continuum were all good movies, if you liked the TV series. Shanks = Spader.

I was not a big fan of SG: Universe though!

Order to watch:

Stargate Movie
Stargate SG 1
Stargate Atlantis
Stargate Ark of Truth ( timeline is somewhere between end-SG1 and mid-Atlantis but can watch after Atlantis too)
Stargate Continuum

Mate I am just starting with the TV Series, so I have no idea who Shanks is. The movie was good for what it was. Spader seems like he was there just for shits and giggles and Kurt Russell kept reminding me a character from Street Fighter games.

I don't have to worry about Atlantis as thats after season 7 and only if I complete season 7 would I need to see how to watch Atlantis.

Need something to sink my teeth into, any recommendations?

Shows I've watched and enjoyed so far off the top of my head:
The Sopranos
Lost
Game Of Thrones
Breaking Bad
Homeland
Suits
Peep Show
Office UK
Luther

If you haven't watched it yet, Seinfeld tops the list.
Parks & Recreation is similar to Office
IT Crowd compares to Peep Show
Dexter for Breaking Bad
.
Sherlock
Arrested Development / It's always Sunny in Philadelphia

I tried the wire before and thought it was boring at first but I've heard too many good things about it to ignore now. The wire it is, thanks guys.

The human personal taste really is something weird. I cannot imagine how someone can think The Wire is boring.

I said at first. I've seen many people who love the show claim that the series are traditionally slow and take a while to get going. It'd be fair to say I was impatient.

Once you're hooked, there really is nothing better IMO. I have also watched Breaking Bad and I thought it was heavily inferior to The Wire. I'm jealous that you can watch it for the first time.

Sounds just the ticket. FWIW I'd put Lost, GoT & Sopranos above Breaking Bad fairly comfortably for me. I've also come across 'Twin Peaks' which looks good, I'm going to watch that too.

I started watching Expanse,a new science fiction show.I didn't like the first 10 minutes and I stopped.I probably will try again.
I recommend you The Knick(doctors in New York in 1900) I watched 2 chapters

How To Get Away With Murder is a freaking rollercoaster of a show. If you ignore the unrealistic law stuff, it's a thrilling show to watch.

I've finally joined the Netflix life.

On the viewing list so far there is Daredevil, and Narcos. Anyone recommend anything else worth watching?
Jessica Jones, Master of None, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. I have only seen JJ which is very good, no idea about the other two.

Edit- Bloodline is also very good.

House of Cards if you haven't already seen it, Fargo (season 2 especially, can be watched without having seen season 1), and Bloodline. All very good shows. Narcos is excellent also, you'll enjoy it.
