Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Finished the first 2 seasons of Banshee.

Lili Simmons is absolutely stunning:eek:

Nathan For You and Review - anyone watching? Two of the best comedies on TV no one seems to be watching.

Watched the first episode of House of Lies yesterday. Is it worth watching the rest?

Freaks and Geeks has a charm about it but I think its overrated.

You can't dislike it but it's not particularly funny or clever. Enjoyable enough especially as a teen.

It's good but I don't think it's great.

Channel formerly known as Sci Fi had an advanced screening of The Magicians yesterday. Basically, Hogwarts for hipsters. It was pretty banal and not very interesting right until the end.

But then, the main bad guy (I assume) was introduced, and have to say, it was pretty awesome.

Officially starting on January 25th next year.

Finished Bill Burr's animated comedy, F is for Family. Nothing new in terms of premise for cartoons (Dad coping with a crappy job, loving wife and 3 kids) but the rage that Burr channels into the main character is pretty good, like when he threatens his kids ("I'll put your fecking head through the wall!"). Not as good as Netflix's other original animation, Bojack, but worth a watch since season one is only 6 episodes.

Also, the intro is set to Come and Get Your Love, so that's cool.

Ah it's on already, thanks for the reminder. That phrase was the phrase his dad actually used all the time. Red balls also knows his stuff when it comes to classic rock. Dude's a wicked drummer.

Try Red Road on Sundance and on Netflix-: a police drama set in woods of north east US. Lanape tribe fighting with cops. Lots of intrigue. The actor who played Drogo -the warrior on Game of thrones is the star.
Also Deutschland 83 on Sundance : set in East/West Germany at the height of the cold war. East German teen gets sent to the west as a Mole in Nato. Great show.

It's a perfectly balanced mix. It didn't follow the usual family drama template, which is a reason the ratings are low. You should definitely give it a watch.
Seriously? People rather want to watch family drama instead of espionage stuff in a show that's about espionage?

Anyone watched the Childhood's End mini series that ran last week on SyFy? Just noticed it on download so wondered if it was worth a watch.

Yep, Revan and I did for sure.

It was an ok adaptation. Nothing spectacular, and could've been done better, but I'm ok with it. It's not an action show, and you'll be annoyed if you've read the novel, but still worth a watch. Just three episodes of hour and twenty minutes episodes.
