Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Watching Silicone Valley on the HBO right now. Didn't think I'd like it but it's fckn funny.

Schitt's Creek is also pretty funny. Eugene Levy plays the same part in everything he does and he's great at it.

The daughter in it is another reason to give this a watch.

Maybe 3 or 4 of the first season. I may have a go at season 2 tonight then!
Yeah, honestly Parks & Rec gets drastically better right from the start of season 2 and keeps a high level for a few seasons. It's weird cos it's like a distant related cousin of season 1. Even Leslie's character has changed some of her main traits! It does indeed have a lot of laugh out loud moments, stick with it you won't regret it.

And others have mentioned it: Rick & Morty is an absolute must.

Parks and Rec is the best American comedy since Arrested Development, for me. Seasons 2-4 are pure gold and even the later seasons are still funny, just not quite as consistently so. It's a shame the first season was so poor, it probably put a lot of people off.

Rick and Morty is also immense, and Silicon Valley is probably my favourite comedy at the moment.

I have finished watching season 3 of Everwood with my wifey and my older daughter. Really touching series. Fantastic characters and storylines. Sometimes quite brutal but not in a GoT or SoA kind of way.
Highly recommended.

Totally agree with this, it's pure genius from season 2 and onwards.

A kinda related show since it has Adam Scott is Party Down, absolutely brilliant concept I hope goes on beyond season 2 which ended in 2010.

A bit late, but I've started watching The Larry Sanders Show and it's hilarious. Holds up exceptionally well for something that's two decades old.

Watching a mini-series called "Top of the Lake", from 2013 and set in New Zealand. One of the best crime thrillers I've seen in a long time and the cinematography is amazing. Its on Netflix if anyone is interested.

Bill Burr said that The Comedians, starring Billy Crystal, is very good so I'm going to give that a try.

Peaky Blinders, yay or nay?
Yay. It's hit or miss -- some say excellent, some say average. One of those you have to watch for yourself. I liked the first few episodes, then sort of lost interest, but plenty of people I know loved the entire series.

Rectify and The Affair
What'd you think of it? Just saw the first episode and I'm mildly intrigued. While I'll probably stick it out for a few more episodes, wish there was better eye candy. Especially for a show where it seems like there'll be plenty of nudity. Nice to see McNulty and Rawls from The Wire.

The one with Peggy from Mad Men? I liked it, but I also have a thing for Elizabeth Moss so I'm biased.

Really? I guess the comedy-style is not every one's cup of tea.
It's basically Entourage but instead of Hollywood and douchebags, it's set in Silicon Valley with geeks. And Entourage was a lot funnier in its first several seasons before it turned to shit.

I never got into Entourage -- but I was 13 or 14 at the time of its popularity, so I preferred family guy-funny.

Rectify is back and judging from the first two episodes it's as good as ever.

BoJack Horseman back this week too, I'd definitely recommend that.

Bill Burr said that The Comedians, starring Billy Crystal, is very good so I'm going to give that a try.

I thought it started slowly but I really started enjoying it from about episode 4 (I think, whichever episode the award ceremony is), so stick with it if you don't like it straight away.

I've watched every episode and although it has its occasional funny moments, they're too few and far between. Really expected more from this.
I expected more after having watched the first season. Pilot and 2nd episode were good. I thought the 2nd season was overall better and I think that the 3rd season can be an improvement.

It's only 13 episodes so it won't be difficult to watch all of it.

I need to watch Bojack Horseman. Seen it too many times on Netflix without giving it a go. Usually I jump on animated comedies when I see them.

I watched one episode of Horseman but it just felt crass with no charm.
I had a hard time getting into it but ultimately loved it. Got better as it went along, I'd recommend you give it another go. There's also a psychedelic episode that you'll love.

Glad to hear it's back, been looking forward to it.

Started watching Bloodline this morning (just the first 20 minutes in the metro ride to work), looks good. I really like Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelssohn, and the keys look beautiful in it, hope the storyline is good as well.

I think you'll like it a lot. Chandler and Mendelsohn both got an Emmy nomination for it today.

Just got done with The Affair. Didn't like it as much as many others did on here. The acting was fine and thought it was set beautifully in the Hamptons, but the different viewpoints thingy got pretty old for me pretty quick. Hard to recall a show where the characters were so unsympathetic and unbelievable. Every guy is a scumbag and every woman a bitch. Even the ridiculous amount of sex scenes weren't really appealing as they were mostly lame and felt gratuitous. Was a real struggle powering through it towards the end there. And unfortunately once you finish, you're still left with many unresolved questions as the season finale was an unsatisfying cliffhanger.

currently watching "How to get away with murder" and have to say its pretty good.....

That was excellent.
