Is Black Sails worth watching? I've just finished Assassins Creed 4 so I'm in the pirate mood.
it's watchable, yeah, good enough fun. It's sort of like Spartacus with pirates but nowhere near as good.Is Black Sails worth watching? I've just finished Assassins Creed 4 so I'm in the pirate mood.
Wtf, you haven't seen True Detective yet?! Watch it! Now!Going into the last 5 episodes of Lost (what a pile of shit this show was!) I want a new TV show. The candidates are:
- House of Cards
- True Detective
- Rome
Eventually, I think to watch all of them (and True Detective definitely before the next season get released). So the main questions are:
- Does the quality of HoC decreases on the third season (read mixed reviews about it)?
- Rome got cancelled, right? If so, did it have closure or not.
At the moment, thinking to go with House of Cards.
Anyone watching Empire? Keep reading articles on how it's unexpectedly doing very well in the ratings and among critics.

I've got 5 episodes of it left and I'm still loving it. It is a much better show than I thought it would be so no complaints from me.I finished Sons of Anarchy last night. I may be the only person in the world still enjoying it by the end. But I thought it ended well. Nothing special, not a show that makes the pantheon of greats, but good, solid entertainment with an appropriately climactic ending.
There's a new series on Netflix just released called Bloodline. Just watched the first episode, not sure if I know what's going on yet.
Just watched that too. Was distracted by insanely hidef picture. Think it might be 4K? (I have a new telly)
Not sure what's going on either. Ben Mendelson is great though.
Has anyone watched Klondike?
I saw it on Amazon Prime Video and was intrigued. Well reviewed on there but I always think the ratings are inflated by the provider on streaming services.
Also same question but for Bosch, also on Prime Video.
Finally got round to watching The League, absolutely hilarious.
Well you gave it a solid 120 seconds. Fair play.I tried it and after 2 minutes I hadn't gotten into it at all
Yeah that's a really good show. There's a movie as well, set after the show I believe. I haven't watched it yet. Finally watched the original French version of The Returned (Les Revenants). Not binged through a series for a long time, but did with this one.
I finished it in Jan I think. Loved the show from start to finish.I finished Sons of Anarchy last night. I may be the only person in the world still enjoying it by the end. All 13 episodes of “Bloodline,” will launch only on Netflix on Friday, March 20th, and be available in 4K. Check out the new featurette below.
Well, there you go. My subscription doesn't have it. Have to pay more.

Yeah I caned series six in one evening a few nights ago, a very good show. One episode with Rafi and Seth Rogen in a loony bin was especially excellent. In the Modern Family thread someone - might have been @Mockney, had a theory that series 2 of comedies is invariably better than series 6 - the idea being that comedies have a shelf life and cant sustain themselves as long as dramas can. Well Id have to go back and rewatch series 2 of The League to say with any conviction how series 6 compares but if there is a drop off in quality I dont think its significant, seems to be a very consistent show. Finally got round to watching The League, absolutely hilarious.
It's like £3 more and you can have up to 8 devices logged in simultaneously as well as unlocking 4k - worth it.Yeah, I've since found that my subscription doesn't cover it either. And that won't change anytime soon as I'm logging into my father-in-law's account to get it for free!
I'm only on season two but loving it so far.Yeah I caned series six in one evening a few nights ago, a very good show. One episode with Rafi and Seth Rogen in a loony bin was especially excellent. The first season of Tina Fey's new show - The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt - is up on Netflix. It's basically the same humour as 30 Rock with a chirpier disposition. I enjoyed it, and it contains a hilarious cameo from Martin Short, which is a sentence absolutely no one has said since at least 1992.
I'm only on season two but loving it so far.
