Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

I've seen or upto date with most of the top rated tv shows, have a few good ones on my 'to watch' list though that I've not started yet:-

===
House of Cards & Sopranos - These are my main 2 gems that I'm saving and looking forward to watching some point
Homeland - Not watched season 4 yet
Peaky Blinders
Orange Is The New Black
Suits
Outlander
- Keep meaning to give this a try, got good reviews, but keep getting put of how it's supposed targeted to a women's audience mainly though.

Ones to recommend

My favorite is probably Game of Thrones. I'm sure most have probably recommended the top tv shows like Breaking Bad, so i'll say a few that's probably gone under the radar that i enjoyed:-

Terminator Sarah Connor Chronicles
In The Flesh
Fringe

Who rates Peaky Blinders? Its a decent 5 to 6/10 show for me. Nothing special and very limited sets, it seems everything happens on the same street. If they wanted to be the English 'Boardwalk Empire' they've come up really short. Needs a bigger budget and better story.

anybody watched Salem ?
Just started it , looks decent enough.
Set in the volatile world of 17th century Massachusetts, 'Salem' explores what really fueled the town's infamous witch trials and dares to uncover the dark, supernatural truth hiding behind the veil of this infamous period in American history. In Salem, witches are real, but they are not who or what they seem.

Steaming through LOST at the moment but I'm trying to take it slow now while I'm waiting for someone to catch up. Anyone recommend something to watch in the meantime? Not a sitcom though. Any new TV series that debuted recently or in the last year or so worth checking out?

Rectify and Transparent are both great

I'm acquiring Transparent now. Just finished a binge on Bosch, which is a very good translation to TV of some very good books. LA. Police. Serial killer. That kind of thing.

Anybody watched or watching Blacklist?

On paper I should like this show but something isn't right. It all seems a bit much.
I'm only 5 episodes in but I think I need someone to tell me it gets more better if I'm going to carry on.

Downloaded the first season off sky on demand, haven't got into it yet.

Newsroom is a good watch too. It also ends in just 24 episodes so not a drag.

I watched it. Looking forward to the next season

Im with you on this 100% and I knew it would happen before I even went into it. I've watched 6 episodes and I haven't been back.

I love Newsroom. Especially the first series. The opening scene is one of my favourites. And the one about the American Taliban is another.

The Newsroom is largely awful, sentimental, condescending, melodramatic, elitist shite that has the odd good episode here and there.

Penny Dreadful is pretty damn good.

Has anyone caught The Odd Couple?

I am a big fan of Matthew Perry from Friends and would like to know if the show is any good.

Just started Empire. Stars Terence Howard. It's ok but I think you would have to be a fan of hiphop to really enjoy it.

I thought the first two episodes were terrible but its really grown on me...its also doing incredibly well in ratings in the states. Every episode so far (and they've been 8) has seen an increase in viewership....first time this has been seen in over ten years.

If its not been suggested before, an absolute must for any boxset series watcher is X-Files. Loved every minute. We watched them within the space of a couple of months i think.

Finished up The Affair recently, enjoyed it a lot and thought Dominic West was brilliant.

Looking for something new now, anyone able to recommend something recent enough with around 1 or 2 seasons out that I should move onto next?

Bosch.

I'm the opposite, I really enjoyed the first 2 episodes the most out of them all so far, I will definitely keep watching being a hiphop fan myself.

I think with Empire and Scandal, the shows with a strong African American cast are really dominating the market at the moment which is good to see as more diversity is needed on US TV.

Absolutely right! People are shocked that the show is doing this well...I mean its doing numbers that are not just good for an African American show, they're bloody amazing numbers period. The 7th episode even generated more tweets than the last episode of the Walking dead. You should also see the 50 cent executive produced 'Power' if you haven't already. Its also a very intriguing show but its on the Starz network (smaller audience but its doing well in ratings and has already been renewed for a second season). This trailer is not even good enough

It was. I am eagerly awaiting season 3 of House of Cards. Any idea when it airs?

I'd heard about Power but not watched it. I'll check that one out next :)

Seconded. That was my weekend binge last weekend. It's strands from three different books by Michael Connelly woven into a single storyline. Some people might find it a little slow, but I thought it was the better for that. I think they're going to make a second season and I'm already looking forward to it.

I really liked it as well and didn't mind that it was slow.

True Detective is one of my all time favourite TV shows. Matthew Mcconaughey is brilliant as Rustin Cohle. Good writing, cinematography and directing help as well. Two great looking women who show their tits and everything else help as well admittedly.
