Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

The Society on Netflix. Kind of a Lord of the Flies thing going on in this but it’s kind of brilliant. Haven’t gotten to the end yet but age group of 16-18 yr olds I guess are taken out on a trip and when they return there is no one in their home town, no parents nothing and they are now surrounded with thick forestry so they have to form a society.

In true lord of the flies style, everything goes to shit, madness ensues as they try to implement a government, court system and so on.

There is also murder, a psychopath and an execution that is pretty narly

Can someone recommend me some comedy series? Just finished The Good Place season 3 and I don't know if Sillicon Valley will have a season 6 so I have nothing to watch at the moment.

Check out Norsemen, it's pretty great.

The Disappearance of Susan Cox Powell

The Disappearance of Susan Cox Powell is a two-part event - Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 - where Oxygen will present the "definitive story" of Susan's final years. The series promises alarming new developments and scandalous, never-before-seen videos. There will be rare interviews with family members offering a new, closer look into the shocking case.

One for the true crime buffs, it's well done and very compelling but also very disturbing and upsetting at times too. Not for everyone but worth considering.

Not a series, but the movie ‘Long Shot’ is quite good.

I'm late to the party on this one, but working through season 1 of Fleabag - its very funny

Supergirl, worth watching ?
It depends on wether you like being beat over the head with social justice and feminism or not. The entire first episode alone isn't about how she's Kryptonian and one of the most powerful beings on the planet. It keeps going on about her being a girl. I get being a positive role model for young girls and all, but it's not really working if your show sucks donkey balls. I watched it on and off because I wanted to like it, but it's not good at all and I gave up.

Talking of supergirl, did anyone see the Batwoman teaser ? Ruby Rose looks really good as Batwoman

I know she already made her debut in Elseworlds but I'm hoping this one turns out to be good. All the superhero shows I used to watch have become absolute shite so I'm hoping this one won't disappoint

Cheers , might just give it a miss then.

'The Virtues' is the best thing currently on terrestrial tv, 'Chernobyl' the best thing on Sky Atlantic/HBO and 'Patriot' is still the best thing on your amazon, netflix, internet tv. If you're not watching/haven't watched any of them then you disgust me and I hope you burn the inside of your mouth next time you have dinner.

 that cracked me up.

Just finished The Good Fight Season 2, and really enjoyed it. Didn't expect it to become so political, and in a way I'm surprised it even got made.

After enjoying season two of Star Trek Discovery, I thought revisiting Deep Space 9 could be worth a shout. I watched some of it when I was younger, but didn't give it my full attention and my sister always goes on about how amazing the show is. The problem is that there are a lot of episodes to get through, and the general consensus is that you need to revisit The Next Generation first to fully appreciate DS9. After a bit of searching I found what is proving to be a very useful set of episode guides:
  1. Star Trek: The Next Generation In 40 Hours
  2. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine In 82.5 Hours
The lists purport to cover all the great episodes and it's working so far; we're up to season three of TNG, and despite the show's age, it's holding up rather well. Some cracking episodes already and I figure it'll only get better as the show matures.

I'd recommend those two links for anyone thinking about a Star Trek binge, which is easy to do as all of TNG and DS9 are available to watch on Netflix.

I think it was you who mentioned Patriot in here. Glad I gave it another go in the end because it's superb TV.

Imposters is decent if you fancy a light hearted crime caper on Netflix
Thanks for the suggestion. It’s good, nothing fantastic, especially plot wise but it’s a fun watch, not to mention Inbar Lavi is just

What's it about and what makes it so good?
Dark comedy about a woman whose husband dies and she goes to a grief support group where she makes a new friend, saying anymore might spoil stuff. The relationship between the two leads makes the show really, they bounce off each very well.

Quick watch. 10 episodes, each about 25 minutes.

Just had a look, Christina Applegate! I don't think I have seen her in anything since Married with Children.
