Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Watched Homeland up until season 3 or 4 when it just started getting ridicolous. Thought the lead actor was great in the first 2 then just...

Mr Robot is a weird one as I like all the episodes a lot but the plot is just all over the place.

Only started watching season one of The Good Fight, a legal drama set in Chicago, so far I'm hooked. Its very slick.

Watching Our Planet on Netflix. Earth is bolloxed.

That walrus scene almost made me fecking cry.

Yeah Walrus scene is fecked.

Every episode is like "Oh wow looks how cool thi...aaaand here's how humans have ruined it."

Davy is fighting to keep on us this planet.
Interesting part where he said that fungus virus only attacks large population insects.

Will mother nature step it up and bring on the zombie apocalypse?

Yep. Episode after the walrus one is looking at the delicate balance of the jungle. A fun little bit on a baby eagle maturing and gaining independence and then by the way, we're losing 100 orangutans a week due to human activity and this generation may be the last of the wild ones.

Shit is heartbreaking.

Alaska State Troopers on National Geographic throws up some interesting episodes, the weather conditions and the wildlife population make it quite hazardous at times, I also read somewhere that Alaska is one of the states in the USA with the highest crime figures.

There's a huge meth problem out there

Auf wiedersehn, pet.
After all these years I found this again.
Besides the stupid haircuts it’s still worth a look. A lot will need subtitles though ;)

The terror on Amazon prime is atmospheric, good cast and interesting setting.

One of the best series I have watched recently. Not read the book, but the way a true story was used as the basis for this then interwoven with some of the local mythology was very well done I thought. As you say, the atmosphere was a big part of this, very tense at times, especially leading up to the "big reveal".
I thought Jared Harris was the star of the show, closely followed by Adam Nagaitis, although there were a lot of great performances throughout the entire cast.
Harris and Nagaitis are both in the upcoming HBO series Chernobyl which comes out next month. On Sky Atlantic in the UK I think.

The series was great and the book was excellent up until the end. I stopped reading it in the last few chapters when it switched over to getting overly religious. I'd the same problem with The Passage. I just lose interest when it gets all Jesus bothering. Up until that point it had been great though.

Agreed on Harris being excellent in it.

Just finished season 1 of The Good Fight, a legal drama set in Chicago. Quite enjoying it so far.

I’m struggling to find anything on Netflix I like these days. Too much unfunny comedy shows. I’m fed up with satirical stuff. I just can’t seem to Arrested Devlopment, I don’t like ‘wacky’ stuff and the characters are far too exaggerated for my liking.

Tried Community, hated it. Always Sunny I just get annoyed with the characters (yes I know we’re suposed to dislike them.)

Where is the cutting edge tv?

Absolutely this!

Seems to be a gap at the moment on really great dramas out there. Something gritty and hard hitting.

Everything is a feckin sitcom lately, I want something gripping to get stuck into and struggling to find anything really worth while to invest in.

Bosch season five is out on Amazon today, pretty solid police procedural, my favourite show on Amazon.
If cop shows are your thing the new season of Line Of Duty is also out on the BBC.

Bit of a running joke with my partner and I, Shows like Line of Duty annoy the hell out of us.
Every time a character comes on camera its

"Ah Detective, Chief Inspector" or "Chief Constable something or other"... more tag lines than Danyaeres in Game of thrones!

I’m weird in that I find British stuff really depressing. Reminds me of Sunday evenings before going back to school when I lived in England.

Get me some Sopranos or The Wire and I’m happy.

I quite enjoyed Bear Grylls' You vs The Wild.

Went through the entire first season last night. Feels a lot like a video game, and there is quite a lot of replay factor from your choices.

Was annoyed swimming under the alligator didn't result in the alligator eating him .

Still least I made him sick with dodgy mushrooms. Really brings out your dark side when you get to make choices for other people

Bosch is a great show. Season 2 was some of the best tv i've ever seen.

Been watching Lucifer. It's one of those shows that is somehow both compelling, and really crap. If it had been an HBO show, with way less episodes, an R rating, better acting, and more edge; it'd be great. But it isn't. So it's not. But I'm still binging my way through it anyway.

You mean detective smooth voice.

He literally talks syrup.

As for TV stuff, Project Blue Book is an entertaining load of hokum.

The missus and I have just finished season 2 of Line of Duty and I think its amazing. Easily the best thing I've seen in the last year or so.
Thankfully have a few more series to binge watch until we get up to date.

Bosch is brilliant, I'm looking forward to starting this new season.

Did you watch the the good wife first? Great show with title that originally put me off thinking it was a lady drama.

I haven't watched The Good Wife, would I be correct in saying they are "related"? Anyway I love the not too subtle digs they take at the Don, great chemistry between the main characters also.
