Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Slippery slope that. First it's just good fun to decouple from work, maybe watching it with friends. Then after a while, you feel empty and left craving for more. Leading you deeper down the dark pit experimenting with things such as Fuller House and Glee. Before you know it, you're stuck in the quest for cheap entertainment and find yourself wasting your life away watching all 42 seasons of Bold and the Beautiful. Finally bottoming out with Venezuelan soap opera, which will suck the last drops of life out of you.
I'd love to be able to do that. Home and Away ain't too shabby.

Just started watching Stranger Things after knowing nothing about it. Quite like it so hoping to stick with it.

Came across it in a newspaper story on the weekend about the real site that it is based on - weird stuff.

Is this basically the general tv thread? I was thinking of making one.

Caught the second episode of Snowfall on BBC 2 last night (without seeing the first). Gonna make sure I catch up and then watch the lot. Nicely shot and pretty good fun. Seems more like a Netflix thing than BBC, who I normally associate with glum UK dramas.
What other American shows does BBC show? Snowfall is an FX production, they've been making some high quality stuff for a while now. Think American Horror story, Sons of Anarchy, The Strain, The Americans, The people vs OJ, the Shield etc

Y'all should get aboard the Exorcist train, it is bloody spectatular.

First season is genuinely better than the movie, which was bloody awesome. Second season also shaping up nicely.

This looks alright.

That does look good.

I just watched Something on channel 4. The End Of The fecking World is what it’s called. First episode was good. It’s about some kid who is a psychopath/ Sociopath. He fantasises about killing people. He kills animals but then he meets this girl who is also disturbed. Not sure what her deal is but certainly something.

It was really good.

Ah they've finally aired my biopic. Good to hear.

Everyone needs to dig out their copies of Brass Eye.
For those that haven't seen it, here are a few clips.

Not sure if there's a specific thread for documentaries (I couldn't find one) but "Children Full of Life" is worth watching:
Mr. Kanamori, a teacher of a 4th grade class, teaches his students not only how to be students, but how to live. He gives them lessons on teamwork, community, the importance of openness, how to cope, and the harm caused by bullying.

I would suggest it offers a great foundation to start the conversation on how we could begin to modernise and improve what is clearly a broken, inadequate system but I rather suspect TPTB are more than happy with their worker bee factories schools.

Into The Badlands - just finished season 2, loved pretty much every minute of it.

Interesting premise. I just cant stand Daniel Wu. He has the same expression whether he is happy, laughing (inside), sad or delirious.

That constipated look.

The Walking Dead is back but there's hardly any attention or excitement around it. Great start to season 8 btw :)

You twat. I actually rocked up IMDB and started looking for it, thinking it was some kind of parody show I've missed.

Q: What's the difference between a Norwegian and the Tropical Rainforest?

A: The Rainforest is dense and warm.

(I just made that up, so don't look it up, ST.)

{It's not racist. Norwegians are white and rich.:D}

Anyone seen The Deuce? Any good?

I abandoned the show after the Big Heist. I couldn't bear the idea of them losing all that lovely money, but I knew they would, so I quit watching.

Did they?:smirk:

congrats for missing 99.9 % of the show.

That very moment was the beginning of The Shield's greatness ...
