Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Nice one.
That was my first ever binge show. Then I had to wait every week from halfway through s2.
I was hooked at the paedo interrogation.

What puts me off watching it again is Vic's wife and family, they were so annoying.

Though I could be tempted if the HD or 4K version ever comes out.

Great show. Vic Mackey the character has this great quality where you hate him one episode, then love him the next. Dutch is one of my favorite TV characters.
Yes, I really like Dutch too. Can't wait to watch his character develop and grow in the series.

I said I was hooked already so being my impulsive self today I just ordered the whole box set. Not going to wait till the Blu-ray release.

Any recommends about a decent war tv series?

It could be similar with Band of Brothers or The Pacific, but with Iraq, Afghanistan, or maybe Libya as the background.

Twin Peaks season 3 episode 8 is the television highlight of the year so far

@Rooney in Paris @Archie Leach
I'm up to episode 5. It's picked up a lot (the first episode was great but 2 and 3 were middling). It's been remarkably humourless.

I've also polished off GLOW and The Handmaid's Tale. You should definitely get on the latter, it's superb.

Generation Kill is an excellent 7 part mini series following a group of marines in the early stages of the war with Iraq. The TV show is based on a book written by a Rolling Stone journalist. HBO produced, David Simon (The Wire, Homide: Life on the Streets) is one of the writers for the show too.

Yeah, it's very unique, Lynch and Frost's been given a carte blanche to do basically whatever they want. It's more like an extended Lynch movie than a Twin Peaks continuation so far. I've tried to rewatch season 2 so many times but never been able get through it.
Perfect, I'll put it on the watch list then Nilssy

Was gonna say Generation Kill. Awesome stuff.

Cheers. Gonna put in my watching list.

Glow is fecking brilliant, started watching it yesterday and before I knew it I was 7 episodes in.

Such loveable and charming characters, good and uncomplicated fun.

Anyone who hasn't already should seek out The Leftovers. Good first series but the 2nd and 3rd are among the best TV I've seen since Breaking Bad ended.

One of the best TV shows I've watched, just sit back and let it take you on a weird and wacky ride.

Anyone gonna check out Ozark on Netflix? I think it comes out July the 21st. Also, I'm anticipating Netflix' Mindhunter and HBO's The Deuce.

Just finished Designated Survivor season one. It's basically 24 but Jack Bauer is the President rather than a field agent. Its pretty fun to watch.

Anyone who watched the Italian political drama series 1992? It caught my eye after watching Gomorrah.

I watched it ages ago. Not watched Gomorrah so can't compare. 1992 is certainly one of the better foreign dramas of recent years, similar standard to Borgen, The Killing, Bridge, Romanzo Criminale, Spiral, Deutschland 83 + Magnifica 70 (on Walter Presents). In terms of plot, there's a lot going on, not just politics as in politicians (say like Borgen), it covers the whole Tangentopoli - Mani Pulite scandal from a variety of angles

Cheers! Sounds interesting. Think I'll watch it when I'm done with The Shield.

Watched the first two episodes of The Mist last night. What a bore fest!

I absolutely loved the movie so I should give this a chance but it wasn't great.

It truly is shit, gave it a full four episodes but I'll give up now.

The acting of that young teen girl who is the daughter of the main couple focused on in the series is some of the worst I've ever seen.

You seem to have a very similar taste in programmes/movies to me, so the fact that you have given up on this has convinced me to give the rest of the season a swerve.

You are right about the acting too. Abysmal!

The first episode felt more like some shitty teen angst drama than a horror show.

It's a shame as I was really looking forward to it.

Just binged Lizzie Borden, loved it.

A girl I'm seeing is raving about it as well, so I think I'll get round watching it.

Someone told me about this at a party the other night, and apparently the book it's adapted from is brilliant as well.

Oh and it's got Elisabeth Moss in it as well. That's it, I'm sold.

The Defiant Ones looks interesting http://www.imdb.com/title/tt6958022/

4 part doco exploring relationship between Jimmy Iovine and Dr. Dre.

Anyone seen it yet?

Just started watching, on Eppy1 - I confess I had high expectations, there are interesting aspects to it but does feel less documentary & more self promotional advert. Hope it improves because so far Lovine comes off as a money whore
