Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Yeah I know it was cancelled, 2 eps in and its OK.
The main is played by Robert Kazinsky and I knew I had seen him in something before, bit of searching and he was Sean Slater in Eastenders, I dont watch that, but he was also Casper Rose in Dreamteam and I did watch that.
 
I could do with a recommended series to watch: preferably something I can just download the whole series in one go. I don't like anything fantasy style, so anything with dragons are a no-no, or anything with zombies or superheros with special powers. Would prefer something a bit dark/gritty. I don't watch much TV, so not much to suggest as to what I do like, but I did like The Sopranos and thought the first series of True Detective was OK, if a little slow going.

You're basically begging for The Wire there. I rate it higher than The Sopranos btw.
 
I have somehow become fond of "The Strain". Didn't like it at first but now I watch it on a episode-to-episode basis, which I hardly do since I mostly save stuff up and binge it.

It is currently on episode 8 in season 3 so if you feel like binging there is a solid cache of episodes.

In no particular order:

Fargo (has a slight element of fantasy/surrealism, but only a couple of scenes - similar to Sopranos, actually)
Justified
The Americans
The Shield
Breaking Bad


And probably The Wire and Deadwood. I've only heard good things about them and mean to check them out myself at some point.

Ok so finished stranger things last night. Brilliant.
Going to bed in an hour, someone recommend something I can get into!
Something with a bit of horror is good but couldn't get started with walking dead or the western one with Anthony Hopkins.
Anything else worth a viewing?
 
New season of The Man in the High Castle coming in December. I binge watched the first season this week. It's still keeping my interest despite a dip in the middle. The Edelweiss song in the opening credits is creepy AF.

Good mindless entertainment IMO
 
The Leftovers has been good for 2 seasons. The final season is being filmed now - I'm looking forward to it but there is huge potential to feck up the ending.
 
This new Exorcist tv show is quality. I'm a huge horror fan and after four episodes this hasn't disappointed at all.

It really is great. And it is a horror series with actual horror, as opposed to AhS.
 
Started watching Spotless on netflix. Two episodes in, liking it so far. Anyone else seen it?
 
I thought Quarry started promising, but damn is that show slow, I couldn't get past 3 episodes. Might try again now that the season is finished.
