Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

I watched the Kevin Can Wait pilot today, as a big Kevin James/King of the Queens fan I quite liked it. The TV/movie snobs will no doubt slaughter it though :p

He acts in the exact same way as he did as Doug (which is a plus for me, others hate it) - it's basically as if Doug Heffernan left Carrie, got new job, new familly and new friends.

They exist?

Kevin James is a huge (no pun intended) part of it, how can you not like him?

He's done some awful films, isn't funny and is part of the whole Adam Sandler clique. Plus KOQ was just ok, I never thought it was great, just watchable.

That's fair enough. Has anybody seen his new show? Any good?

I only watched it because of the woman that played his wife. And that was on mute.

I watched Stranger Things on recommendation of this page.
I watched it all within a day
I thought it was ok, but I dunno, ok was about it for me to be honest.

Could do with something else to watch. Leftovers btw was really good, and can't wait for season 3.

I can't really be bothered with anything overly serious like Narco's.

Lost, Prison Break, Dexter, Leftovers etc

Watch The Night Of/Night Manager/Peaky Blinders. Three awesome shows.

Does anybody remember Wild Palms? It was on around the same time as Twin Peaks. My parents started letting me stay up past the watershed, this show and twin peaks warped my fragile mind.

My two favourite newcomers are Quarry and The Exorcist.

Pleasantly surprised with The Exorcist, there are so many ways they could have fecked this up, but somehow they totally managed to pull it off.

I only just started season 2 but I've enjoyed it so far.

Season 3 is set in Australia
I thought season 2 was a couple of notches above season 1. It embraced its weirdness a bit more, and seemed a bit more self aware and lighter overall - despite some heavy stuff, of course. The ending is really good as well, and episode 8 is immense.

The night manager is pretty good. Hugh Laurie as a weapon dealer. Just 6 episodes.

Written by the same guy.

It looks shinier, although if its brooker fair enough, although I know one of the episodes previously was written by the peep show guys. I'm going to assume this new season isn't going to be as good and hopefully be pleasantly surprised. White Christmas and an entire history of you are two of my favourite episodes of anything. Although there are episodes like the waldo moment which was just nowhere near the same standard.

White Christmas was soooo good. Waldo was really mediocre, very predictable and 'easy', which was surprising given their general standards. Which one is An entire history of you again?

Isn't it the one with the implanted memory chips?

Yeah the memory chip, I know the idea has been optioned by Robert Downey Junior, so presumably in the next couple of years they'll edit it a bit to have a limitless level of film, enjoyable but not really fulfilling its premise. I hadn't watched shows like the twilight zone at the time black mirror came out, so I was completely taken back by its quality and kind of uniqueness, even though obviously twilight zone is a similar thing minus the technology and also great.

White Christmas though by a long margin stands out for me, that was something else.

I'm not sure how often you can come up with good sci fi ideas for a single series which is what worries me about the new one being 12 episodes done in two different stints, but I really hope its up to standard.
