Television Anyone recommend me any TV Shows?

Rectify. Season 4 just started, and I can't recommend it highly enough.

Finding Westworld intriguing (only watched 4 episodes,) but hard to connect with for some reason.

Anyone seen the show "Startup"? It sounds interesting from the plot synopsis:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt5028002/?ref_=tt_rec_tti

"Miami - A desperate banker needs to conceal stolen money. A Haitian-American gang lord wants to go legit. A Cuban-American hacker has an idea that will revolutionize the very future of money itself. Forced to work together, they unwittingly create their version of the American dream - organized crime 2.0."

Entire season available, so it can be binged.

Yea, I watched it a month or so ago. Probably the most underrated show released this year. Didn't really get a good reception from critics who I felt got too caught up on some trivial stuff in the pilot. But I was pleasantly surprised when I watched it. Good storyline, characters, and some great acting. The end of the season was a little stupid but aside from that, it was good throughout. That logline doesn't sound appealing but the premise is good.

Goliath is pretty good. Courtroom drama starring the brilliant Billy Bob Thornton as an ambulance chasing Lawyer taking on his old firm in a case against a big corporation. Only 8 episodes, really hope they keep this alive and make a season 2.

Watched this earlier in the week. Very good job by Billy Bob Thornton and all round decent show.

Anyone seen a horror show named "Channel Zero"? It is based on something called Creepypasta stories, the most famous being Slender Man.

Getting some pretty good reviews:

"Channel Zero: Candle Cove just may be the best horror TV show presently on TV. Here’s why."

7,5 on IMDB

I've seen all four episodes. It's a bit slow, but creepy. Quite short season though, which I'm a huge fan of.

Really enjoying this show. A bit slow but it suits the whole show and premise, also some good acting going on.

Strange that this show hasn't gotten more attention, probably due to it being such a slow burner.

Anyone watching Startup? I've just noticed it on Amazon Prime.

NewsRadio!

It's greater than all three you mentioned.

Anyone recommend any light hearted comedy shows? Something along the lines of Modern Family, Community, Parks and Rec,etc.

Arrested Development, first third of the Simpsons, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The Office are good choices as well. Probably saw a lot of those though, if not all.

Life in Pieces is a new show (now at start of second season), and it's quite similar to Modern Family (big family). At the moment, it's also better than Modern Family. Interesting format as well (four short stories per episode)!

Currently watching a show called Superstore. Basically set in an equivalent of Walmart. It's kinda like Scrubs only in a big shop. Quite funny and the characters are decent. America Ferrera is in it too, which is also nice.

I just watched the first episode and I don't think it humoured me once. There are different styles of comedy shows, does the pilot's style represent the rest of the show or should I just dump it and move onto the next one?

Life in Pieces is a horror. How anyone can rate it above Modern Family is a mystery.

Probably one of the worst comedies I've ever seen, and I've seen parts of Two And a Half Men.

It just seems far too 'American' if you know what I mean.

Is Luther any good?
What sets it apart is that it's totally bonkers. When you first come to it you're expecting a gritty realistic police show. What you actually get is a completely overblown batshit crazy show...in a good way. That all becomes clear within about 20 mins of the 1st episode. Very enjoyable.

Hope somebody makes a new 'West Wing' type show but with a lunatic like Trump running it.

Though not sure if it would be classed as political drama, comedy or satire!

I don't remember pilot anymore, guess it could've been worse than what followed. Then again, it wouldn't be the first show where I needed to see several episodes to get into them.

It's easy, Modern Family is very very mediocre last few seasons.

Veep is the closest we have to that right now. Though it has reached the point where the real world craziness is more than the TV show craziness.
