Good performance in terms of workrate and defensive ability but needs to be upgraded as soon as possible, and no not by Pellistrim
Exactly this. One nice moment where he beat his defender superbly. Otherwise - terrible at everything but defending.
Really impressed by his defensive work. He even seems to enjoy it.Still leaves a lot to be desired offensively, but my god did he fecking run today. Excellent defensive performance, which was just what was needed considering the circumstances.

His lack of right foot while playing on the right is a massive problem. Especially when the strikers need service, more than a few times a whipped in cross from the right would have caused problems.Agree with what someone said in the match thread. If we signed him on a free or he was under £20m, I'd be quite happy with him.
Works hard but the quality all too often is lacking.
They were overruled. ETH insisted on Antony.Fire the scouts

He's so bad. It's interesting because I'm thinking of coming out of retirement at RW.
Context; I'm 36, 94kgs, have sciatica, scar tissue on both ankles and a penchant for beer yet I can play better than him.
He is defensively excellent. That’s one area I never doubt him.Still leaves a lot to be desired offensively, but my god did he fecking run today. Excellent defensive performance, which was just what was needed considering the circumstances.
Thanks, I'm world class at it.No you cant. Just stick to what you are good at. Shitting on Antony on this forum.
Isn't it ironic that ETH coached him at Ajax?As an attacking player, that was dire. Constantly makes bad decisions on the ball. Once again, I'm questioning why we bought a guy for the money we paid for when he's pretty much useless in attack.
Watched West Ham before us, Kudus scored 2 really good goals as a left footed right winger and I can’t help but think there’s got to be more to come for Antony, he surely has more in his locker than we’re seeing.

He wanted Kudos at United so thats a silly claimOr even more damning that he also coached Kudus who is dynamite for West Ham and cost half the fee? Shows how poorTen Hag's talent eval actually is.
Definitely poor. Incidentally, didn't Klopp want Brandt instead of Salah before being overridden by Michael Edwards?Or even more damning that he also coached Kudus who is dynamite for West Ham and cost half the fee? Shows how poorTen Hag's talent eval actually is.

Yes. Goes to show that giving managers the keys to the castle is consistently a stupid idea (although at least Brandt is a good player even if he isn't close to Salah)Definitely poor. Incidentally, didn't Klopp want Brandt instead of Salah before being overridden by Michael Edwards?
Wouldn’t be surprised. Liverpool have signed a lot of players who were Klopp’s picks and that’s how it should be. Managers aren’t scouts and football has moved on. Well everyone aside from us.Definitely poor. Incidentally, didn't Klopp want Brandt instead of Salah before being overridden by Michael Edwards?
