Jarrod Bowen is the one for me. Goal scoring winger. Not sure how much he’d cost though.
Lets see if Amad can break through first though.

This is m problem with Antony, his inability or refusal to go down the line and make a right footed cross, or for that matter even pass with his right foot means that all he ever overs is a square pass in field or the occasional floated ball into the box which never pays dividends.

He subtracts more by being in the team than his defending adds positives.

Too much is being made of Antony not using his right foot, does Marcus Rashford ever go down the line and make a left footed cross or make a pass with his left foot?

He does it enough for the threat to be there and to not allow defenders to completely sell out on playing the cut inside at all times. As does Garnacho, he wants the shot but also plays on the defender knowing that giving him the outside space.

If Antony is not a immediate goal threat with his cut in spamming then he has to be looking at guys like Benardo, Silva, even Olise and how they use that wide space to set up plays for others and ultimately get on the end of things.

Antony works hard, in contrast to Rashford and Sancho, but he has zero end product. The team as a whole is struggling and relies too much on individual moments of brilliance, but Antony does not have moments of brilliance in his locker.

It's not even the price tag. He just doesn't seem special and I'm spoiled as a United fan with special wingers.

The club needs to move him on as quickly as possible. He isn't even an upgrade on Lingard. The entire league knows how to play against him. He always does the same thing, try to go back inside. He huffs and puffs but offers zero ball progression in the final third. Painfully limited player. Very indicative of where we are as a club, he wouldn't start for any other top 10 team in the PL. Olise, Diaby, Bailey, Kulusevski, Salah, Saka, Sterling, Foden, Almiron all miles, miles better than him. Shocking signing. Ten Hag will have to answer for this.
Agreed. Sell him for whatever transfer fee we can get. Admit we made a huge mistake and move on relatively quickly.

Instead I fear we'll continue to persist with the delusion that he could come good one day, or seek an unrealistic transfer fee, until he eventually leaves on a free transfer a few years from now.

He’s the worst in a long line of unspectacular Brazilian signings.

“But he’s a hard worker!”

He was the best of a bad bunch yesterday, perhaps along with Maguire.

If you watch Saka, it seems impossible to stop him cutting back on his left and delivering quality balls to back post. With Anthony, he doesn’t seem good enough to even get the ball near their goal! There are times when he is on the counter, and turns and passes back. Or the times he does beat his man on half way, he slows down and lets his man get back. I’d like to know the stats on Anthony’s touches in opposition box as I bet it’s the lowest for any winger in the league

To put it into context, the right side of our pitch is invisible as an attacking threat. Everything attacking minded was down our left yesterday. Yeah, the final ball was dreadful but at least there was intent. I’m afraid Antony on the right side offers zilch as an attacking outlet and that doesn’t matter if he was £9 million or £90 million. No idea how we get more out of him in the final third. I genuinely think he is highly limited as a footballer and we’ve signed another dud.

Man Utd 0:1 Bayern Munich
The more you see Antony, the more you can’t see anything at all he has to offer a team. There’s no dangerous runs in behind. There’s no ability to cut inside and get shots off. There’s no creative passing. There’s no accurate and venomous crossing.

He looks like a footballer when you see him play in snippets, but when you look at what he does cumulatively match after match, there’s just nothing to hang your hat on. Match after match nothing happens from that right flank when he plays there. His teammates must die inside when they see who has the ball when he’s in possession in the final third.

1 assist and 0 goals in 25 [TWENTY-FIVE] matches. Other players in terrible form getting raked over the coals are still distancing those numbers.

A genuine contender for the worst transfer ever in the Premier League era for any club.

His performances have improved of late - but then you remember the improved play is a move where he beats his man, or manages to wriggle out of a tough place before getting a pass off. That's it - that's the most exciting thing he's done since scoring a goal against Barcelona last year.

Top right wingers around the world are expected to do that as a minimum, and are judged for whether or not they can get 10-15 goals or assists off. Antony has 1.

What a terrible waste of money, and how low our standards for a starting winger have fallen.

And the irony is that he is still - absolutely on merit - a starter in this team. Others are even worse in this role due to lack of work rate.

But how far we’ve fallen is indeed hard to imagine

Started really well, then faded away. I don't think he created even one chance for Hojlund? Should do better.

Get rid. Painfully limited player. Won't get us anywhere near the top. £85m ffs. We could've probably bought Sane/Coman from Bayern at that price and they're a million times better. We will be paying for Ten Hag's mistakes for a long, long time.

It is, easily. I don't even think it's close tbh. He had never, ever showed anything in his career (in the form of production or ability) to make anyone spend the amount we did on him. And we did that all under the watch of someone who spent the last 2 years managing him.

He's not without good qualities in that he's technically accomplished and a hard worker, but the bottom line is that his output is just nowhere near enough.

Especially for the price we paid, which everyone knew at the time was above market value. He was never going to live up to that price-tag, but we needed more than this for overpaying due to the circumstances to be justifiable.

I had hoped that we'd see that output increase in his second season, especially with a more traditional CF up front to supply, but it hasn't happened nor does it look like happening.

I think if he was techincally accomplished his output would be better.

To me, relatively speaking of course, he can't cross, can't pass, can't shoot, can't move with the ball(it's why when he beats a defender the defender always gets back at him)

There's more to being technically accomplished than a good first touch.

Believe it or not he’s actually in form. The difference is when other players play at the top of their game they decide matches but in Antony’s case it takes his average performance of 5/10 to a max of 6.5 or 7 at the absolute most.

His issue isn’t attitude or coaching it’s just a clear cut case of a lack of ability so it’s hard to blame him anymore.

And that should be painfully obvious to anyone who's invested even an hour of their lives into this sport.

Can you please explain how 0 goals and 1 assist in 25 matches for a near 100 million attacker for the biggest club in the world who have lost half their matches all season is in form?

Because he's crap. Basically, the way he's playing now is the most we will realistically get from him.

If a player is not good enough ability wise, he shouldn’t be signed. Or at least he should be sold during the transfer window (an in case he was putting effort and tried to help the team - he should be sold with thanks).

He really is a terrible player. Can’t believe his lack of output. Sure he works hard but so what, we’ve just got a Wout out on the right

Has skill, trickery and determination, lacks pace, physicality, shooting power and colocation plus can't cross and can't do shit with his right foot.

We absolutely got robbed for the price paid, at most he should had been a 40M punt. He's not good enough and lacks to many basics to actually improve enough. We'll have to take the bite and move him for a cut price there's no other way.

I think when you put him against Davies and Kim it is always going to be tough for him. If he repeats this type of performance against, say, an Everton, he would have created more advantages for us. Of course, I agree, for his price you'd expect him to make a difference at this level.

That 0 goal and 1 assist in 25 games stat is really really bad. Like it's actually just really difficult to do that playing on the wing for Man United bad.

The fact that we don't have other RW options that are far better than him is comical.

Such a terrible offensive player.

Can't for the life of me understand why he is so poor 1v1. Opposition fullbacks facing him really hardly have to break a sweat defending against him. He has all the talent and skills in the world yet he doesn't utilize them to beat his man. Not sure if it's a confidence or coaching issue. People say him lacking pace - look at other wingers such as Saka, Grealish and Mitoma. They do not possess blistering pace do they? Hell, even Salah looks like he has lost all his pace nowadays but still continue to be effective on the field.

Absolutely shocking player, he lost every ball last night and many were due to poor touch. He isn't even good at keeping the ball in big games and that's literally the only thing he does good usually.

Easily the worst winger that ever played for us consistently. Such a nothing player and it's shocking that he plays for us all the time.

I just can't see him as a right winger. Think we should move him to the left and try him there for a prolonged period of time, not like our other players are doing better than him. Have serious doubts if he is even a winger tbh.

Just doesn’t have the strength or pace to get away from defenders.

This is the point that bugs me most. Sure he’s quick over the first few yards, but is easily caught up with, and he can never muscle past anyone.
Surely, these points would have been the easiest to scout? Simple basic physical traits.
