Genuinely might be the worst player we've signed on a permanent contract ever. He just doesn't do anything well, at all.

We’re we indebted to Ajax for something? Cuz that’s the only way that this transfer makes sense.

Would rather see Wan Bissaka at RW. At least he can whip in a cross now and then.

I think that's a big issue because Hojlund can't really run across the 6 yard as that ball is never coming in. I said in the summer when everyone was cheerful over getting business done quickly that this club and the manager massively dropped the ball by not signing at least two wide forwards and a fullback.

The club should have just persisted with Eriksen, Case and Bruno for the midfield and focused on the wide areas because even with Sancho playing they lack productivity.

I am so sick of Antony beating his man only to put on the brakes so he can cut back to his left foot so he can try and score and then losing the ball because he let his defender back in the play. Today there was a pass to him that his defender tried to intercept. All Antony had to do was make his first touch go towards the goal and he was gone. But instead, he touches it back towards where it comes so he can get it onto his left foot and the defender who was out of position by trying to intercept, all of a sudden took the ball away easily. If I'm ETH I make Antony run all practice wide around a pylon and then cross it from the by line with his right foot. 2 hours of that should help

Bench him and bring him on in the last 15-20 mins for awhile. He might be able to do something against a more tired defence and get his confidence up. If he can't do that then he really does have nothing to offer here.

The worst signing in the clubs history. And one of the worst players to ever play for the club. He doesn’t have a single redeeming quality. He’s also an immensely dislikable character.

Cannot wait for the day he leaves the club.

BTW does anyone still believe in him or see any upside to him?
Forget his price for one second
Just him as a player

I'm struggling to find any upside now.

That was one of the most septic performances from a United player that I've ever seen.

It would have been bad from a player from the academy or someone we picked up on a free but to think we paid 90 million quid for that level of shite is sick inducing.

Hard to know how Ten Hag handles this cos it's his signing, 100%. It's a huge albatross around his neck. I'd have more respect for ETH if he benched Antony for the rest of the season, at least it would be a tacit acknowledgement that he got this signing badly, badly wrong.

The worst thing you can do with a mistake is double down and make it worse.

Has to be the most useless winger we have ever had at the club.

How many more years on his contract because we are stuck with him until he leaves on a free, unless Ten Hag gives him a new contract before he gets sacked.

I used to like his "fight" and "defensive qualities" but I'm not even sure about that now.

The time in the first half when Willian just walked past him to shoot on goal sealed it for me.

I’ve seen enough. He’s a fraud. Unbelievably bad signing.

Would be interesting to see Diallo in that position. But it says a lot that Pellistri created much more in 10 minutes than Antony has done in 3 matches

Is he really as bad as he's showing or is he being impacted by his off-the-field issues and the general malaise of the club? I mean, he has 16 Brazil caps. He looks like he'd struggle to win San Marino caps at the moment.

Ten Hag pushing the club to sign him is almost sack worthy in itself. Having a basic eye for talent and quality should be a prerequisite to be a football manager, how could he ever think this guy is good enough.
Do you think Ten Hag could have pushed Bayern to sign him?
This is on the club.

Agreeing on the price is on the club, but wanting him is on Ten Hag.
Club had the right to say no. And the club should have said no.
I can’t think of anything he’s good at. To top it off, he’s slow. £80m is a dereliction of duty.

They could and should, but Ten Hag should have known that Antony would fall short in the EPL. Shit from both of them. Hopefully we'll get a better structure in place to prevent these signings, it would pay for itself in no time.

It's weird, maybe his off field stuff has affected him. He's had moments like his goal v arsenal or barca but I can't think of any top performances from him. Like real menacing performances that make you think, ahhh that's why eth got him and what his level can be

And those chances were just from actually putting some effort in. Something people have been claiming Antony has been doing while the quality hasn't been there. He's garbage and not even working hard now.

Has a weak shot, cant cross, right foot is non existent, passing is mostly average, cant dribble past players, and is slow. I genuinely want to know what does he offer at the moment that lets say players like Pellistri doesn’t? Cant wait to have Amad back and get his chance

Today was truly atrocious but it was by far his worst performance here by some distance. Whether he will ever be good enough is very debatable but today he looked like someone that had been plucked from the crowd to have a go at being a footballer for a day. He looks gone mentally.

This guy would struggle over here in the Irish league and believe me it is crappp!
Another one stealing a living!

Other than his work rate, I see nothing else. The only way I see him having a future in football is if he worked on his crossing and the defensive side of the game, and tried to reinvent himself as a LB. As a RW'er, I actually think I could defend him and I'm 49 years old and 240 lbs

Far be it from me to join the pile on, but he was so bad today. One of a few players who offered nothing at all. Infact he was a liability.
Ajax properly saw us coming with this transfer, it’s a terrible deal and I’m not sure how we make it good/recoup our costs.
Hopefully it’s just his legal problems here and at home weighing him down, but he’s gone so far backwards this season.

As it seems, he is specialist of ball retention. We double paid the fee. He is still very good at what he does. People are better to accepting this and not let yourself extremely frustrated by expecting more from him.
