Genuinely might be the worst player we've signed on a permanent contract ever. He just doesn't do anything well, at all.
Would rather see Wan Bissaka at RW. At least he can whip in a cross now and then.
Was going to say I bet awb at rb with dalot in front would be betterWould rather see Wan Bissaka at RW. At least he can whip in a cross now and then.
The fact that he's left footed and never takes corner kicks on his side to give us an inswinger speaks volume of his ability, or lack there of...
BTW does anyone still believe in him or see any upside to him?
Forget his price for one second
Just him as a player
I'm struggling to find any upside now.
Almiron is his peak level if he develops.
Do you think Ten Hag could have pushed Bayern to sign him?Ten Hag pushing the club to sign him is almost sack worthy in itself. Having a basic eye for talent and quality should be a prerequisite to be a football manager, how could he ever think this guy is good enough.
Agreeing on the price is on the club, but wanting him is on Ten Hag.Do you think Ten Hag could have pushed Bayern to sign him?
This is on the club.
Same, I'm done with him. He's been our consistently shit player since the start of the seasonBTW does anyone still believe in him or see any upside to him?

Club had the right to say no. And the club should have said no.Agreeing on the price is on the club, but wanting him is on Ten Hag.
They could and should, but Ten Hag should have known that Antony would fall short in the EPL. Shit from both of them. Hopefully we'll get a better structure in place to prevent these signings, it would pay for itself in no time.Club had the right to say no. And the club should have said no.
I can’t think of anything he’s good at. To top it off, he’s slow. £80m is a dereliction of duty.
It's weird, maybe his off field stuff has affected him. He's had moments like his goal v arsenal or barca but I can't think of any top performances from him. Like real menacing performances that make you think, ahhh that's why eth got him and what his level can beI used to like his "fight" and "defensive qualities" but I'm not even sure about that now.
The time in the first half when Willian just walked past him to shoot on goal sealed it for me.
Would be interesting to see Diallo in that position. But it says a lot that Pellistri created much more in 10 minutes than Antony has done in 3 matches
Today was truly atrocious but it was by far his worst performance here by some distance. Whether he will ever be good enough is very debatable but today he looked like someone that had been plucked from the crowd to have a go at being a footballer for a day. He looks gone mentally. Is he really as bad as he's showing or is he being impacted by his off-the-field issues and the general malaise of the club? I mean, he has 16 Brazil caps. He looks like he'd struggle to win San Marino caps at the moment.
