Yeah I know that, but with the recent World Cup matches, I started to pay more attention to how close they are in the French team through all the pictures and videos. Agent P at work again!

Ultimately Deschamps has nothing to do with it. He obviously wants everything done in that time, but he can't force Atletico and Barca, or Atletico and Utd, to agree terms in the next couple of days. He can't force Griezmann to sign a new contract at Atletico in the next few days. Indeed, at this point in time it is extremely unlikely he wants Griezmann focusing on his contract situation at all. He'll want him fully focused on the World Cup.

I'd be very surprised if anything happens before the World Cup now. It's too close. And once it starts the players won't be doing anything about any moves even though the media will be going on about it.

My point was he’s pretty much guaranteed one with Atletico. And given Barca’s aging team and their struggles to bring in replacements at MSN levels their future success isn’t guaranteed by any stretch. You take messi out of that team and it isn’t all that.

Thanks to @Rado_N, I've realised that I'm one of the biggest muppets on here.
I just checked the number of times I've replied to transfer threads and the numbers were surprising.

I said this last season after he snubbed us, that AG to MUFC is going to be brought up every year, for the next 5-10 years.
Even now, we are being linked to Ronaldo and I'm sure that if Wesley Sneijder and Gaitan were still young enough, we'd be linked to them, also.
AG has now been added to that list and his name will come back again in January. That's almost guaranteed.

That's probably pushing it a bit too far. I think this has got a couple more windows in it, but a lot less once he signs for Barca. In 5 years time AG will very much be a thing of the past in terms of hot transfer rumours.

He will either say that’s he’s staying or that he has made his decision but won’t announce it until after the World Cup to drag the saga on. Bored of it all

...on the edge that he may move because if he were to stay he could’ve said so a long time ago.
