Imho Cristiano wanted the big fat paycheck we offered him more than being a galactico 2.0
It is a modern agreement, difficult to break but not impossible. There have been many cases of players in the two teams, Hugo Sánchez, Reyes, Solari, Juanfran, Jurado, Schuster ..
I would like to buy the best players, doesn't matter what team they play. Why on earth would you want to buy your rivals best player?
That's just pathetic.
I wouldn't want to sign anyone from City.
Well i shouldn't have included it in the "it's a fact" part, only realized that later. I think he doesn't have players with the technical ability of Martial, Micky, Mata, Ibra, Pogba at Atletico..Koke has good technique, but not Pogba level. Carrasco and Saul don't have bad technique, but even their best traits are found in other categories..they are probably comparable technique-wise to Rashford and Herrera. Of course technique isn't everything.Would he now? I'm not so sure.
Kind of agree with your post though
doesn't look good“If the first thing you think is where are you going to live, well, think Los Angeles," he said. "[LA] Galaxy would be the first choice and then think about going to the beach every day. There are beautiful places to live and to play.
“We want people that, if I call some guy or if Mr Woodward calls some player or some agent, we want people that are immediately engaged and dreaming about coming. This is the profile of the players we want. If they don’t want to come to us, good luck, enjoy your other club.”

Agreed.Good on Mourinho, it should be music to our ears this but yet people will draw the negatives and then complain a year down the line when players aren't giving there 110%, surely we dont want another Di Maria situation on our hands, not to say Griezmann will be nor will he not be here in the summer, but I love this from Mou, definitely stearing us in the right direction
Yea, also a big fan of what he's done there. He just desperately needs to have us back in CL next year and competing for the big trophies. All well and good to play this card now from Mourinho, but another year without CL and without challenging and that type of move will only work for lesser players.Good on Mourinho, it should be music to our ears this but yet people will draw the negatives and then complain a year down the line when players aren't giving there 110%, surely we dont want another Di Maria situation on our hands, not to say Griezmann will be nor will he not be here in the summer, but I love this from Mou, definitely stearing us in the right direction

City fans on here some convinced he's joining them.Well, Fabinho seems eager to go here, so that could be a hint.. Maybe Sanchez is not so much happening
Member Thiago signing the United shirt? I memberMember agent Dave signing Thiago's ball? I member...

Why LA though? I mean i've never been there, but from what i've heard it's a huge shithole. It's a bit different of course when you're filthy rich. Still, there must be better places to live.
Yeah, i should have read that more carefully. Just had a short look at it.He was attempting to make a point, extreme - obviously. But as weather goes, LA is tough to beat IMO - for other things, obviously depends on your metric for happiness

I think L'Equipe recently wrote that Monaco have an agreement to let Fabinho leave this summer and he wants to move back to RB with City the only place he wants to go.'My objective is to get to a club with the dimension of Manchester United,’ the Brazilian told FourFourTwo ahead of Monaco’s 5-3 defeat to Manchester City on Tuesday.
‘I have no clue if one day I’ll be a United player, but I’ll keep on working so it stops being a rumour and becomes reality.’
Weird to put out those comments before the city match though, then.

He would be an excellent fullback for Pep. Could also be used in midfield, like Lahm. I dont think we are interested in him anyway.
It's a bit weird really, as on paper he seems a lot more suited to our midfield than his team mate Bakayoko. He would be an excellent fullback for Pep. Could also be used in midfield, like Lahm. I dont think we are interested in him anyway.
He must enjoy the attacking freedom of a full back more than defensive midfield.I've read similar around here, don't know why. He has been immense at CM.
After seeing those comments I'd question the credibility of L'Equipe.I think L'Equipe recently wrote that Monaco have an agreement to let Fabinho leave this summer and he wants to move back to RB with City the only place he wants to go.
Well, now that you mention it, in his case one was a direct consequence of the otherHow ironic then that they are both the same thing

Let's pray he isn't watching our matches, because if he does I'm sure he'll be having second thoughts linking up with this toothless lot.
A bit like Pogba, Ibrahimovic, Mkhitaryan, Di Maria, and Falcao then.
Was more of an anomoly then though. More the norm these days.
Then being 9 months ago ?
