This thread reminds me a little of the Pogba one.

People questioned if he would join us and leave June.

I said all along he's going to.

Some people are stuck in the pre-Woody era when we penny pinched and never paid market rates for top players.

Now, we pay as good or better than anyone. Which is why it is going to be a rare occasion that a player turns us down.

If you read it again I said the money on the 'Pro' side. I was giving 2 viewpoints, then I said what I thought. No way its 99% hes coming.
 
We need someone who can take a good free kick so he will fit in just nicely.

I can't believe a few in here have resigned themselves to us not getting him this summer. The window hasn't even opened. Have faith :).

Don't think anyone would turn him down. Isn't the only problem that Atletico Madrid won't be able to buy a replacement for him due to their "sanctions"? Will Griezmann leave even if the buyout clause is activated? Maybe will stay out of "respect" for the club? Or is all the "respect" gone in todays football?

His price doesn't increase. You have to pay the release clause. His wages, on the other hand...

Haha yep don't expect him to be taking free kicks over Ibra and Pogba despite both not being great. It bloody annoys me that Mata doesn't take them when he does start.

Bloody hell that's an impressive second half of the season. Really bounced back from his relatively slow start for the first half.
 
Perfect addition IMO; his ability to play anywhere in attack offers versatility of system, unlike Zlatan.

He could play as the focal point, just behind or wide of a #9 (allowing Rashford more time to develop in his natural position) and in a fluid front 3 with Rashford and Martial.

I'd also look to add another forward with him though, maybe a plan B strongman like Mandzukic for a more direct option.

Handsome chap as well, so fits Woodward's criteria regarding marketability; no need for moronic dancing, awful clothes or daft haircuts to sell this kid's star quality.

Just seen his shampoo commercial, Head and Shoulders need him to sign for us, their sales will go through the roof
