Goals - you know those things we lack?
The thing is I read this thread, hear he's clinical, read his wiki and see his goals scored. But his highlights underwhelm.

I'll claim ignorance, I don't watch a lot of football anymore. Looking at griezmanns highlights on youtube I don't see an 80m player; what does he offer?

I don't want any fancy highlight reels, I want a Manchester United player to stick the ball in the net.
As a team, United are creating enough chances, but we severely lack clinical finishers.
Forget him I want Kanu, must be about 60 by nowHe's half slipped 100% of the time when taking penalties tonight. Do not want. John Utake on a free please.
You feel that confident even with Simeone staying for next season? I think it's very possible Greizmann stays and leaves 2018.Just popping in for my daily, 'this is happening' post.
Seriously, it makes too much sense.
My only tiny niggling doubt is whether or not Griezmann is on the list of targets Jose handed Supreme Leader Woodward.
If he is, there is no way we don't get him with his buyout clause.
He will not say not to us. That, my friends, IS A FACT.
There are some of his qualities that can be debated but his finishing ability is not one of them. His goal scoring is the reason why Atletico's system works at all, as they dont create as much going forwsrd.I didn't see a clinical finisher in his highlights.

Never thought we were getting him and it seems less and less likely as we near the transfer window.
Something about him just doesn't scream United I don't feel he wants to come and that's the main reason. Going by what he has said in the past that location and weather will be a big factor of he does move to the premiership Chelsea would be the most likely choice.
Saying that if he does move I would guess someone like PSG would be his first choice
Thats is cos we were not winning. Nobody laughs at how much madrid spends. Not worth it for that price. We're already a laughing stock for the money we spend each season.
With pogba he never said something like this. I think with simeone staying and them signing lacazette, I think he will stay for one more season. They get told to say stuff like that to drum up interest and the whole 'will he, won't he'. More interest = more exposure for the brand. That's what I'm going to tell myself.
This probably is the best summer for him to move.
Atletico seem to have peaked and flattened out with a decline soon to follow.
It doesn't look good right now, so I demand people to give credit to @Acquire Me when he signs for us.

Is he still around or did the pitchfork brigade hunt him off?
He's still around, but understandably doesn't post much since people have been slagging him off left, right, & centre.
I agree, I was one of very few that appreciates the info at the time.Thats fair enough, ridiculous levels of abuse he was getting anyway.
After all these comments about him not leaving in summer, he'll look really silly if he actually joins us.
I have no big hopes on this deal. Just waiting and seeing.

This one is dead in the water. Seems like Simeone and Griezmann will stay for at least another season and expetience the new stadium. They wont be short of suitors in a year or two anyway.
That said, i would be happy with James, Silva and another striker for the offensive department.
